Abstract

This research explains the relationship between the end user requirement and accuracy of PMS (Project Management Software). The research aims are to analyze the PMS accuracy and measuring the probability of PMS accuracy in achieving ±1% of the end user requirement. The bias statistical method will be used to prove the PMS accuracy that based on the hypothesis testing. The result indicates the PMS is still accurate to be implemented in Aceh-Indonesia area projects that using the SNI (National Indonesia Standard as current method) with the accuracy index of ±7.5%. The achievement probability of reaching the end user requirement is still low of ±21.77%. In case of the PMS, the low achievement of the end user requirement is not only caused by the low accuracy of the PMS but also caused by the amount of variability error, which is influenced by the amount of variation of the project activity. In this study, we confirm that it is necessary to reconcile both conditions between the PMS accuracy and the end user requirements.

Abstract

This paper presents Multi-Objective Integer Non-Linear Programming (MOINLP) involving Negative Total Float (NTF) for improving the basic model of Multi-Objective Programming (MOP) in case the optimization of the additional cost for Project Scheduling Compression (PSC). Using the basic MOP to solve the more complex problems is a challenging task. We suspect that Negative Total Float (NTF) having an indication to make the basic MOP to solve the more general case, both simple and complex of PSC. The purpose of this research is identifying the conflicting objectives in PSC problem using NTF and improving MOINLP by involving the NTF parameter to solve the PSC problem. The Solver Application, which is an add-in of MS Excel, is used to perform optimization process to the model developed. The results show that NTF has an important role to identify the conflicting objectives in PSC. We define NTF is an automatic maximum value of the activity duration reduction to achieve due date of PSC. Furthermore, the use of NTF as a constraint in MOINLP can solve the more general case for both simple and complex PSC problem. Base on the condition, we state that the basic MOP is still significant to solve the PSC complex problems using MOINLP as a sophisticated MOP technique.

Abstract

Problems for both delayed and accelerated activities in scheduling are common in most projects. This problem can implicate on the additional construction cost with different trends as a specific model. A model can provide valuable information to project acceleration judgement. This research aims to develop the TCTO sub-activity model of formwork, rebar work, and concrete work of the building structural beam on the projects in the North Aceh region. We have collected 33 data sourced from the project cost plan report and respondents judgment in the reviewed area. Descriptive statistics and the regression analysis are used to generate the TCTO model. The results show that the activity duration of the structural beam as broken down into sub-activities of formwork, rebar work and concrete work can be compressed until reaching 40%, 50%, and 40% of its normal duration, respectively. The additional cost of the compressed duration for each sub-activity shows the direct incremental cost per days of 3.67%, 3.63%, and 4.27% of its normal cost. Meanwhile, the possible crash cost of each the sub-activities are 122%, 118.15%, 125.61%, respectively. The models practically represent a linear model in the same daily pattern acceleration.

Abstract

At the time of construction work, things that can lead to the outcome of the project, such as building, design and giving birth to mobilization. To overcome the necessary acceleration of construction projects. This study examines a large number of additional acceleration costs per day, aimed at creating Time Cost Trade off (TCTO) models in Pidie District. The time trade cost off model will be developed from questionnaire distribution data to directors, managers, project estimators domiciled in Pidie District. In addition to questionnaires, this study also uses secondary data that is cost budget plan (RAB) obtained from respondents. The analysis used in this research is simple linear regression analysis. The resulting model for lightweight steel roof truss work is c = 35.170.497,87-640.612,35d with and duration of accident (Dc) is 4 days. Therefore, the maximum acceleration that can be made is 6 days (60% of the normal duration) and the maximum additional charge of 9.33% of the normal cost with an additional cost per day (slope) is 2.33% of the normal cost.

Abstract

Competition in the construction services business cannot be avoided, this is certainly a challenge for service providers, especially contractors. The contractor must use the right competitive strategy so that the company can survive in the business field. One strategy that can be done is to accelerate the project. This study examines how much additional costs due to acceleration per day. This study aims to create a model of the exchange relationship between time and cost on the ceiling frame work in the Southwest Aceh District. The model was developed from questionnaire data and secondary data obtained through directors, managers, company estimators domiciled in Southwest Aceh District. The analysis used for the development of the model is regression analysis. The ceiling frame work model is c = 117,037,315,49 - 2,678,101.83d. The parameters of the exchange relationship model between time and cost on ceiling frame work are normal duration (Dn) 10 days, crash duration (Dc) 6 days, maximum acceleration that can be done 4 days (40% of normal duration) and additional costs per day Rp. 2727. 488 (2.93% of normal costs).

Abstract
