Abstract

This research is motivated by the low mathematical communication skills of junior high school students in mathematics, especially in junior high schools in West Bandung Regency. Students experience learning difficulties in quadrilateral and triangle material. This study aims to determine the level of mathematical communication skills of students. The sample taken was as many as 31 students in class VIII D in one of the junior high schools in Padalarang Subdistrict, West Bandung Regency. The method of this research is qualitative descriptive which is analyzed from the given instrument. The instruments in this study took the form of 5 written test questions. The results of this study indicate that students' ability to complete mathematical communication skills is still lacking. This can be seen from the results of the recapitulation of the overall answers of students who answered correctly as much as 21%, answered incorrectly as much as 76%, and did not answer as much as 3%. Besides that, it can be seen from the results of the score conversion of students that the mathematical communication skills of students are in the very low category, namely students who score less than 55 by 65%.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact shows the mathematicalcommunication ability of the students not yet in accordance with theexpected. One such problem is learning that does not provide flexibility tostudents to exploit the potential of the brain optimally, where in general isgenerally more emphasis on the left brain function. Mathematicalcommunication skills need to be supported by right brain function.Characteristics of learning that offers learning concepts that align the waythe brain works naturally designed is by learning Brain-Based Learning(BBL). The research method used is quasi experiment. Quantitative data isobtained from pretest and posttes data. Research found that There areachievements and improvements in students' mathematical communicationskills whose learning uses the Brain-Based Learning approach comparedwith students who received conventional learning in terms of students' earlymath skills, and self-confidence and there is an association between theability of mathematical communication and self-confidence.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematik siswa SMK kelas XI dan menelaah kesalahan-kesalahan siswa dalam mengerjakan soal-soal tes mengenai materi peluang. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI sebanyak 32 orang. Bentuk pengambilan data yaitu pemberian 5 soal uraian dan wawancara pada subjek terpilih. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, nilai rata-rata dari keseluruhan soal instrumen kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematik memperoleh 96% dan 77% untuk indikator berpikir lancar dalam melahirkan gagasan/cara mengerjakan yang berbeda, 45% untuk indikator berpikir orisinil dalam menggabungkan jawaban yang berbeda dari bagian-bagian soal untuk diuraikan, 95% untuk indikator berpikir elaboratif dalam mengembangkan suatu gagasan/produk, dan 79% untuk indikator berpikir luwes dalam menganalisis suatu masalah dari segi pandang yang bermacam-macam sehingga jika ditotal dan dirata-ratakan mencapai 78%. Maka kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematik siswa SMK kelas XI tergolong sedang.berpikir kreatif matematik, peluang

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to analyze and examine the mathematical communication ability that are influenced by junior high school students self-efficacy. The method in this study uses a correlational method with quantitative approach. The population in this study were students of junior high school in Cimahi City, with a sample of 36 students who were determined by purposive sampling technique at one of junior high school in Cimahi City. The instrument used in this study is a communication ability test that consisting of 5 essays and a students’ self-efficacy scale that consisting of 25 statements scales. The results showed that students communication ability was positively influenced by self-efficacy of 19.1%, while 80.9% was influenced by factors other than students’ self-efficacy. The correlation between self-efficacy and mathematical communication skills of students is included in the medium category. Keywords:  Mathematical Communication, Self-Efficacy

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan suatu informasi bagaimana pemebelajaran matematika selama pandemi covid-19. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 2 orang guru yang mengajar di kelas III dan 24 orang siswa dari 2 sekolah yang berbeda. 1 orang guru dan 12 orang siswa dari SDN Darma Bakti dan 1 orang guru dan 12 orang siswa dari SDN Sadargalih. Instrument yang digunakan adalah lembar wawancara dan lembar angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan skenario pembelajaran online dilaksanakan dengan baik yaitu menggunakan model pembelajaran example non example. Materi yang diberikan guru berupa handout dan vidio pembelajaran; kesulitan-kesulitan yang dihadapi guru selama pembelajaran online salah satunya yaitu kewalahan membuat bahan ajar; kesulitan-kesulitan yang di alami siswa salah satunya yaitu jaringan internet tidak stabil menjadi siswa kesulitan menerima materi dan mengirim tugas dengan tepat waktu; respon guru dan siswa terhadap pembelajaran online yaitu sama-sama merespon baik; bahan ajar, LKS dan tugas-tugas yang diberikan kepada siswa sudah layak untuk dipakai dan sesuai indikator pembelajaran kurikulum; dan upaya yang dilakukan guru selama pembelajaran online agar berjalan dengan efektif guru dan siswa menyepakati aplikasi whatssapp yang akan digunakan dan guru harus menyiapkan bahan ajar yang kreatif dan inovatif supaya kegiatan pembelajaran menyenangkan.
