Abstract

Distance obstacle in traditional cardiac measurement and monitoring has been resolved by packet radio based telecardiac monitoring system. The purpose of this research is to improve telecardiac monitoring flexibility by appending scheduled reporting feature over Short Message Service (SMS). This research uses experimental method. System sends monitoring summary to cardiologist via cellular phone periodically. By employing this method, the medical expert is not required to stay in front of telecardiac monitoring receiver perpetually. The experiment with telecardiac reporting system has shown the transmission of monitoring summary with maximum rate of up to 60 SMS per minute. The success rate of up to 100% SMS delivery in 20 experiments indicates that the ARQ protocol on SMS works ideally in normal condition. Measurement of SMS transmission delay gives different results for every cellular operator with 2.5 seconds on average. The test results met with the requirements of the test software for reporting monitoring results with a configurable period ranging from 1 second to 40 days. Keywords : : ECG, Reporting System, Telecardiac Monitoring,  Short Message Service (SMS)AbstrakKeterbatasan jarak pada sistem pengukuran ECG tradisional dapat diatasi dengan menerapkan sistem telecardiac monitoring berbasis radio paket. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan fleksibilitas dari telecardiac monitoring tersebut dengan menambahkan fitur pengiriman layanan pesan singkat (Short Message Service – SMS). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen. Data ringkasan hasil pemantauan pasien dapat dilaporkan ke tenaga medis ahli jantung melalui telepon seluler secara terjadwal (telecardiac reporting). Dengan metode ini, tenaga medis ahli tidak diharuskan untuk berada pada sistem penerima telecardiac monitoring setiap saat. Pengujian sistem pelaporan telecardiac reporting ini menunjukkan pengiriman data ringkasan dengan kecepatan maksimum hingga 60 SMS per menit. Keberhasilan pengiriman SMS hingga 100% pada 20 percobaan menunjukkan bahwa protocol ARQ pada SMS berfungsi dengan baik dalam kondisi wajar. Pengukuran delay transmisi SMS menunjukkan hasil bervariasi untuk setiap operator telepon seluler dengan rata-rata 2.5 detik. Hasil pengujian tersebut telah sesuai dengan kebutuhan pada perangkat lunak uji untuk pelaporan hasil monitoring dengan periode yang dapat diatur mulai dari 1 detik hingga maksimum 40 hari. Kata Kunci : ECG, Sistem Pelaporan, Telecardiac Monitoring,  Layanan Pesan Singkat

Abstract

Makalah ini menjelaskan implementasi perangkat lunak dengan antar muka pengguna grafis (GUI) untuk menganalisis citra bergerak ultrasonik dari ligament bahu. Perangkat lunak yang dirancang dapat bermanfaat di bidang medis khususnya sebagai alat bantu identifikasi penyakit yang berhubungan dengan kelainan gerak dan nyeri pada bahu. Pada prinsipnya, perangkat lunak yang dirancang bekerja dengan cara memvisualisasikan lapisan jaringan di bahu berdasarkan kecepatannya selama gerakan melalui metode speckle tracking citra B-mode ultrasonik. Ligamen dalam bahu yang mengalami pelekatan dapat diamati dan diukur secara kuantitatif dalam besaran indeks dengan cara tersebut. Indeks tersebut dihitung dari perbedaan kecepatan antara otot subscapularis dan otot deltoid bahu. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan bahwa pasien dengan restriksi gerakan pada bahu mengalami pelekatan subscapularis yang ditunjukkan oleh nilai Indeks Adhesi (IA) yang tinggi. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa keterbatasan gerak bahu dapat dikuantisasi dengan besaran indeks. Kelebihan dari penggunaan perangkat lunak analisis citra ultrasonik sebagai alat bantu diagnosis adalah sifatnya yang non-invasif dan semua data pengukuran dapat diambil dengan menggunakan mesin ultrasonografi konvensional.

Abstract

Traditional counter based digital Pulse Width Modulator (PWM) has been a straightforward architecture. However, realization of multichannel PWM with such design requires considerable logic gates. A novel architecture of multichannel PWM based on the usage of RAM block and frequency word accumulator is proposed. This architecture is capable of producing numerous channels while maintaining its performance. The design was tested in Microsemi SmartFusion A2F200 Customizable System on Chip, giving the result of 7.73% FPGA usage to produce 48 channels of 380Hz 16 bits PWM. Abstract

A freehand three-dimensional (3D) ultrasound system is a method of acquiring images using a 3D ultrasound probe or conventional two-dimensional (2D) ultrasound probe to give a 3D visualization of an object inside the body. Ultrasounds are used extensively in clinical applications since they are advantageous in that they do not bring dangerous radiation effects and have a low cost. However, a probe calibration method is needed to transform the coordinate position into a 3D visualization display, especially for image-guided intervention. The current ultrasound probe calibration system usually uses the numerical regression method for the N-wire phantom, which has problems in accuracy and reliability due to nonlinear point scattered ultrasound image data. Hence, a method for ultrasound probe positional calibration of single-wire phantom using the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm (LMA) was proposed to overcome this weakness. This experiment consisted of an optical tracking system setup, a 2D ultrasound probe with marker, an ultrasound machine, and a single-wire object in a water container equipped with a marker. The position and orientation of the marker in a 2D ultrasound probe and the marker in the water container were tracked using the optical tracking system. A 2D ultrasound probe was equipped with a marker connected wirelessly using an optical tracking system to capture the single-wire object. The resulting sequences of 2D ultrasound images were reconstructed and visualized into 3D ultrasound images using three transformations, ultrasound beam to ultrasound probe’s marker, single-wire phantom position to container’s marker, and the 3D visualization transformation. The LMA was used to determine the best optimization parameters for determining the exact position and representing that 3D visualization. The experiment result showed that the lowest mean square error (MSE), rotation error, and translation error were 0.45 mm, 0.25°, and 0.3828 mm, respectively.
