Abstract

Preparing students’ in entering the workforce is a challenge and understanding the determinant factors affecting students anxiety will useful in understanding phenomenon. This study aims to examine internal and external factors affecting students anxiety in facing the world of work. In detail, the research involved self efficacy, adversity quotient, socioeconomic status and perceived social support to explain students’ anxiety. Using both online and offline questionnaires, approximately 654 participant were involved with simple random technique sampling. Accordingly, the completed data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modelling with SmartPLS. The findings indicate that  internal factors (self-efficacy, and adversity quotient, and external factors (socioeconomic status and perceived social support) have a significant influence on anxiety facing the world of work among advanced students in Indonesia. Keywords: self-efficacy, adversity quotient, socioeconomic status, perceived social support, relieving anxiety.

Abstract

Enhancing teacher performance is a global challenge and understanding managerial sides, and motivation can be used to deal with this issue. The purpose of this study aimed at examining the impact of leadership effectiveness and teacher performance in vocational school, as well as investigating the role of work motivation. A quantitative method was adopted to improve understanding of this phenomenon. The participants of this study were recruited from the vocational school teachers in East Java by distributing online questionnaires employing WhatsApp. The findings of this study showed that effective leadership positively influenced both work motivation and teacher performance. Indeed, work motivation can explain the relationship between effective leadership and vocational teacher performance. Based on the results, it is recommended to the education office, school principals, vocational teachers to pay more attention to the effectiveness of leadership, and work motivation to improve teacher performance. This study recommends that school principals and educational policymakers pay attention to the matters of leadership and work motivation as the essential factor in driving teacher performance.

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan suatu kebutuhan yang harus dijalani oleh seluruh anak bangsa. Pendidikan di indonesia masih dalam tahap perkembangan. sehingga perlu menciptakan SDM yang berkualitas yang membawa perubahan menjadi lebih baik. Adapun Faktor-faktor yang melatarbelakanginya adalah, pada hasil observasi dimana sebagian siswa laki-laki kelas XI Jurusan IPS menjadi gugup saat menjawab pertanyaan dari guru, dan takut gagal. Selain itu, lingkungan belajarnya dekat dengan jalan raya sehingga menyebabkan proses kegiatan belajar mengajarnya agak terganggu. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh motivasi belajar dan lingkungan belajar terhadap prestasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran ekonomi SMA Negeri 1 Gondangwetan Kabupaten Pasuruan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif korelasional kausalitas , dengan teknik pengambilan sampel proporsional random sampling dan sampel sebanyak 58 responden. Alat pengumpulan datanya yaitu kuesioner atau angket menggunakan ( googleform ), observasi dan dokumentasi nilai raport. Analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan secara parsial kedua variabel independen berpengaruh positif dan signifikan motivasi belajar terhadap prestasi belajar mempunyai ( nilai t hitung 2,846 > t tabel 2,00404, nilai signifikan t = 0,006 < 0,05 ). Dan lingkungan belajar terhadap prestasi belajar mempunyai ( nilai t hitung 3,031 > t tabel 2,00404, nilai signifikan t = 0,004 < 0,05 ). Secara simultan kedua variabel independen berpengaruh signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar mempunyai ( nilai F hitung 56,133 > 3,16 dengan nilai signifikan 0,000 < 0,05 ). Dan diketahui pada uji koefisien determinasi, nilai R square 0,671 atau 67,1% artinya kedua variabel ini berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar, dan sisanya 32,9% dipengaruhi oleh hal-hal lain.Kata Kunci: Motivasi Belajar, Lingkungan Belajar, Prestasi Belajar
