Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic impacted the socio-economic sectors since the end of 2019. Indonesian’s Government issued the large-scale social restrictions policy to limit the industrial activities. This study aimed to investigate the difference of the health, safety, and environment (HSE) implementations among Indonesian companies, before and during the disruption risk of COVID-19 pandemic according to the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). It used a random sampling, involved 1,027 workers from various sectors of Indonesian companies. Hypothesis tests used are ANOVA and t-test method. The level of HSE compliance changed quite significantly when the COVID-19 outbreak emerged. The results explained, there is no significant difference in HSE compliance based on company location, company risk level, and position of a respondent in the company. However, there is a significant difference between companies that have a HSE division and a HSE Management System certificate with the company who did not have any. The recommendations of HSE improvement formulated using a Safety Model Canvas and a Focus Group Discussion conducted to convey the jazz scenario in the next normal. This study suggests the priority order for HSE improvement strategy in a company is commitment, responsibility, engagement and involvement, leadership, competence, information and communication, to organizational learning.

Abstract

A Mixed Reality device is a new technology that provides immersive training experiences. One of the mixed reality technology with high immersion, high interaction, and high information is Microsoft Hololens 2. Smart glasses are classified as OST-HMDs (Optical See-Through Head-Mounted Displays), which display augmented objects in a mixed-reality environment. The use of HMDs can cause cybersickness symptoms that users feel. This study aims to assess the human performance and cybersickness of Hololens 2 for immersive training. The training object was an augmented assembly engine comprising six parts. Using Hololens 2 as an assembly simulator training, participants experienced a significant increase in performance and learning rate with minor errors. Hololens 2 produces light symptoms that the user perceives as general discomfort, fatigue, difficulty focusing, sweating, difficulty concentrating, and blurred vision. However, Hololens 2 experienced negligible symptoms based on the cybersickness factor: Nausea (3.98), Oculomotor (6.32), and Disorientation (2.32). Based on the SSQ scoring matrix assessment, Hololens 2 obtained an SSQ score of 4.48, which is classified as a minor symptom of cybersickness.

Abstract

Keilmuan Teknik Sistem dan Industri selama ini lebih banyak dikaitkan dengansektor manufaktur. Namun sebenarnya disiplin ini juga sangat relevan untuk diterapkandi sektor layanan publik oleh instansi pemerintahan. Penerapan konsep LeanSix Sigma (LSS) terbukti mampu menjawab tantangan efisiensi, efektivitas, danpeningkatan kualitas layanan. Metode ini tidak hanya berfokus pada pengurangandefect atau kesalahan dalam proses layanan, tetapi juga mengutamakan pencarianprosedur terbaik untuk pemantauan dan perbaikan berkelanjutan. Maka dariitu, program pengabdian masyarakat ini dirancang untuk mendampingi OrganisasiPerangkat Daerah (OPD) penyelenggara layanan perizinan dan non-perizinan dilingkungan Pemerintah Kota (Pemkot) Surabaya dalam mengimplementasikan konsepLSS. Prinsipnya adalah pengelolaan data dari total waktu penyelesaian terhadaptarget yang telah ditetapkan untuk dapat mengukur performansi layanan dari setiapOPD melalui parameter process capability dan sigma level. Hasil dari pendampinganini menunjukkan bahwa meskipun para OPD telah memenuhi target waktu layanan,namun sebaran waktu layanan yang tercatat masih terlalu tinggi sehingga akhirnyaberdampak pada tingkat kepuasan masyarakat yang bervariatif. Hasil pengolahandata selanjutnya dianalisis berdasarkan 10 waste untuk menemukan penyebab waktulayanan belum konsisten. Hasil analisis ditindaklanjuti dengan perubahan prosedurkerja dan proses bisnis sebagai bentuk continuous improvement.
