Abstract

The Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has become a public health emergency. The speed at which COVID-19 become pandemic and spread all over the world is alarming. A critical aspect of this type of pandemic is on the mental health of the community. This survey aimed to describe psychological distress in Indonesia's general population during the COVID-19 pandemic. Data collection began on 1st April 2020 to 30th April 2020. An online survey using Google Form with snowball sampling method used in this study. A modified version of the COVID-19 peri-traumatic distress index (CPDI) with 24 items used. The survey questionnaire included socio-economic and demographic variables. The study's total responses were 1,287, with 33 excluded from the analysis because of incomplete responses or not meeting inclusion criteria. Results showed that 63.5% of respondents reported having normal or no distress, 34% were having mild to moderate levels of distress, and 2.8% having severe distress. Age is the only variable that correlates with the level of distress. Healthcare workers and the general population showed no significant differences in the level of distress. During the early break of the COVID-19 pandemic, around 40% of respondents rated their psychological state having moderate to severe distress. These findings can be used to develop better psychological intervention measures and prevention of mental health during the pandemic.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic can lead to students' mental health problems, such as anxiety, depression, and stress. The government's policy for study from home exacerbates mental health problems. This study aimed to determine the source of student stress during the study from home during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study design used qualitative research. The sampling technique uses consecutive sampling. This research involved 36 students from the faculty of psychology and the faculty of medicine in Bandung city who underwent study from home (SFH). Data were collected by interviewing participants in May 2020. This study's results are the dominant thing that participants feel during the study from home is boredom, relaxed, and complicated; the things they missed during learning at home were friends, playing, and chatting; and they feel fear, sadness, and anxiety when heard the news about COVID-19. This study concludes that the source of student stress was being far from friends, limited communication and face-to-face contact with friends and lecturers, and did not get direct attention from friends or lecturers. SUMBER STRES MAHASISWA SELAMA MASA PANDEMIK COVID-19: PENELITIAN KUALITATIFPandemik COVID-19 dapat mengakibatkan masalah kesehatan mental untuk mahasiswa seperti kecemasan, depresi, dan stress. Kebijakan pemerintah untuk melakukan pendidikan jarak jauh (PJJ) telah memperburuk masalah kesehatan mental. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan sumber stres mahasiswa selama menjalani PJJ di masa pandemik COVID-19. Desain penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Metode pengambilan sampel adalah consecutive sampling dengan melibatkan 36 mahasiswa dari fakultas psikologi dan fakultas kedokteran di Kota Bandung yang menjalani PJJ. Data diambil dengan melakukan wawancara kepada partisipan pada bulan Mei 2020. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah perasaan dominan yang dirasakan partisipan selama PJJ adalah bosan, santai dan tidak praktis; hal yang dirindukan selama masa kuliah di rumah adalah teman, bermain dan mengobrol; dan hal yang terlintas ketika mendengar berita tentang COVID-19 adalah takut, sedih dan cemas. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah sumber stres mahasiswa adalah merasa jauh dengan teman, komunikasi dan kontak tatap muka dengan teman dan dosen yang terbatas serta tidak mendapatkan perhatian langsung dari teman dan dosen.

Abstract

Abstract. According to the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Indonesia has a lot of athletes, but not many can pass the selection to become national athletes. Although the opportunity for student-athletes to be professionally competent is very small, there are still many student-athletes who still hope to become professional athletes. This characteristic is referred to as identity foreclosure where student-athletes narrow their career choices, leaving many other career possibilities. This causes low career maturity. SMA Pasundan 1 Bandung has a special class for athletes who have various identity statuses (achievement, moratorium, foreclosure, and diffusion) and in the last three years has graduated student-athletes who continue their careers as athletes and non-athletes. This study aims to determine how much influence identity status has on career maturity at SMA Pasundan 1 Bandung. The identity status scale is Melgosa’s (1987) and adapted by Purtriandra et al. (2019) and the career maturity scale is Sartika’s (2020). This research is a population study of 46 student-athletes of SMA Pasundan 1 Bandung. The method used is causality with a quantitative approach. Analysis of the data used is a simple linear regression test technique. The results show that the significance value of identity status on career maturity is .000 (achievement), .543 (moratorium), .017 (foreclosure), and .000 (diffusion). This means that there is a significant influence of identity status (achievement, foreclosure, and diffusion) on career maturity. With a contribution value to career maturity of 27.2% (achievement), 12.3% (moratorium), and 31% (diffusion). Abstrak. Menurut Kementrian Pemuda dan Olahraga, Indonesia memiliki banyak sekali atlet, namun tidak banyak yang bisa lolos seleksi menjadi atlet nasional. Walaupun peluang bagi pelajar-atlet untuk dapat berkompetensi secara profesional sangat kecil, namun terdapat banyak pelajar-atlet yang tetap mengharapkan menjadi atlet profesional. Karakteristik tersebut disebut sebagai identity foreclosure dimana pelajar-atlet mempersempit pilihan karier mereka, sehingga meninggalkan banyak kemungkinan karier lain. Hal tersebut menyebabkan rendahnya kematangan karier. SMA Pasundan 1 Bandung memiliki kelas khusus atlet yang memiliki berbagai identity status (achievement, moratorium, foreclosure, dan diffusion) dan dalam tiga tahun terakhir memiliki lulusan pelajar-atlet yang meneruskan kariernya sebagai atlet dan non-atlet. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh identity status terhadap kematangan karier SMA Pasundan 1 Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan skala psikologis dengan alat ukur identity status dari Melgosa (1987) yang diadaptasi oleh Purtriandra et al. (2019) dan skala kematangan karier dari Sartika (2020). Penelitian ini merupakan studi populasi sebanyak 46 pelajar-atlet SMA Pasundan 1 Bandung. Metode yang digunakan adalah kausalitas dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik uji regresi linier sederhana. Hasil pengolahan data menunjukkkan nilai signifikansi identity status terhadap kematangan karier yaitu .000 (achievement), .543 (moratorium), .017 (foreclosure), dan .000 (diffusion). Artinya terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan identity status (achievement, foreclosure, dan diffusion) terhadap kematangan karier. Dengan nilai kontribusi terhadap kematangan karier sebesar 27.2% (achievement), 12.3% (moratorium), dan 31% (diffusion).

Abstract

Abstract. Work-life balance has become a key issue in all types of employment over the last decade, as high work demands and long working hours have become the norm (Kumarasamy, et al., 2016). Previous research has shown that the importance of work life balance in achieving a better quality of life (Bulger & Fisher, 2012). According to (Kumarasamy et al., 2016) emotional intelligence is important for employees to improve work-life balance. This study aims to determine how much influence emotional intelligence on work-life balance on employees of Company X Bandung City. The subjects of this study amounted to 75 marketing employees. The measuring instrument of each variable used is in accordance with Indonesian culture. The measuring instrument emotional intelligence is using EII (Emotional Intelligence Inventory) based on the Goleman's theory and work-life balance based on the Fisher's theory. This research uses the causality method with a quantitative approach. The results of the study found that 93.3% of marketing employees had high emotional intelligence and 89.3% of marketing employees had high work-life balance. Data analysis using simple linear regression test technique. The results of data processing showed an R Square of 0.551, which means that emotional intelligence has an effect of 55.1% on work-life balance. A significance value of .000 < .05. So, it can be concluded that there is an influence of emotional intelligence on work-life balance in marketing employees of Company X Bandung City. Abstrak. Work-life balance telah menjadi isu utama pada semua jenis pekerjaan selama dekade terakhir ini, karena tuntutan pekerjaan yang tinggi dan jam kerja yang berlebihan telah menjadi norma (Kumarasamy, et al., 2016). Penelitian sebelumnya telah menunjukkan bahwa pentingnya work-life balance dalam mencapai kualitas hidup yang lebih baik (Bulger & Fisher, 2012). Menurut (Kumarasamy et al., 2016) emotional intelligence penting bagi karyawan untuk meningkatkan work-life balance. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh emotional intelligence terhadap work-life balance pada karyawan Perusahaan X Kota Bandung. Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah 75 karyawan marketing. Alat ukur dari masing-masing variabel yang digunakan sudah sesuai dengan kultur Indonesia. Alat ukur emotional intelligence menggunakan EII (Emotional Intelligence Inventory) berdasarkan teori Goleman dan alat ukur work-life balance berdasarkan teori Fisher. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah metode kausalitas dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ditemukan 93.3% karyawan marketing mempunyai emotional intelligence tinggi dan sebesar 89.3% karyawan marketing mempunyai work-life balance tinggi. Analisis data menggunakan uji regresi linier sederhana. Hasil pengolahan data menunjukkan nilai R Square sebesar 0.551, yang memiliki arti bahwa emotional intelligence berpengaruh sebesar 55.1% terhadap work-life balance. Didapatkan nilai signifikansi sebesar .000 < .05. Sehingga, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh emotional intelligence terhadap work-life balance pada karyawan marketing Perusahaan X Kota Bandung.

Abstract

Abstract. SMPN 5 Bandung implements a character education program called Bandung Masagi. BandungMasagi Character Education is an education based on local wisdom issued by the Bandung City EducationOffice. Bandung Masagi contains four main principles of Sundanese people in practicing life, namely penanceasih (humanity), silih sharpening (educating), penance asuh (accompaniment), and reparation wawangi(delivering positive things). These four principles are embodied in four main programs, namely love of religion,protecting culture, defending the country, and loving the environment. Bandung Masagi Character Education isimplemented by schools in various forms of programs that are estimated to have a relationship with studentlearning motivation. This study aims to see the relationship between Masagi Bandung Character Education andStudent Motivation at SMPN 5 Bandung. This study uses a population study. The final sample obtained by theresearchers amounted to 306 students. The method in this research is a correlation with a quantitative approach. The analysis of the data used in this study is Pearson. The measuring instrument used is the Bandung Masagi measuring instrument and the Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ) scale made by Usinger&amp; Boyer (2012). MSLQ was developed by Pintrich, et al (1991). The results of this study indicate that there is asignificant relationship with the result of 0.00 between character education and learning motivation. Abstrak. SMPN 5 Bandung mengimplementasi program Pendidikan karakter yang bernama Bandung Masagi.Pendidikan Karakter Bandung Masagi merupakan Pendidikan yang didasari oleh kearifan lokal yang dikeluarkan oleh Dinas Pendidikan Kota Bandung. Bandung Masagi mengandung empat prinsip utama masyarakat Sunda dalam mengamalkan kehidupan, yakni silih asih (kemanusiaan), silih asah (mencerdaskan), silih asuh (mendampingi), dan silih wawangi (mengampaikan hal-hal positif). Keempat prinsip tersebut diwujudkan ke dalam empat program utama, yakni cinta agama, jaga budaya, bela negara, dan cinta lingkungan. Pendidikan Karakter Bandung Masagi diimplementasi sekolah dalam berbagai bentuk program yang diperkirakan adanya hubungan dengan motivasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat Hubungan Pendidikan Karakter Bandung Masagi dan Motivasi Belajar Siswa SMPN 5 Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi populasi. Sampel akhir yang didapat oleh peneliti yaitu berjumlah 306 siswa. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah korelasi dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Analisis data yang digunakan dalalam penelitian ini adalah Pearson. Alat ukur yang digunakan yaitu alat ukur Bandung Masagi dan skala Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ) yang dibuat oleh Usinger &amp; Boyer (2012). MSLQ dikembangkan oleh Pintrich, dkk (1991). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan dengan hasil 0,00 antara Pendidikan karakter dan motivasi belajar.

Abstract

Saat menghadapi kematian seseorang terutama anggota keluarga yang dekat, seringkali keyakinan individu terhadap dunia menjadi berubah. Untuk melewati perubahan tersebut, individu harus mampu membangun kembali keyakinan dan pandangannya terhadap dunia. Kematian anggota keluarga inti atau seseorang yang dicintai dalam kondisi pandemi Covid-19 menjadi suatu beban krisis yang bisa berbeda dari biasanya. Proses berduka merupakan sesuatu yang wajar untuk dilalui, namun bisa menjadi sebuah gangguan patologis jika tidak ditangani dengan baik. Saat mampu diatasi dengan baik, kematian seseorang dapat memicu pertumbuhan pribadi seperti posttraumatic growth (PTG). PTG mengacu pada pengalaman perubahan positif yang terjadi sebagai akibat dari perjuangan dengan krisis kehidupan. Dalam membantu proses individu memodifikasi keyakinan atau kognitifnya, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) dinilai mampu membantu individu berfokus pada kondisi saat ini tanpa memberikan penilaian berlebih pada apa yang dialami. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat apakah MBCT mampu meningkatkan PTG pada individu yang mengalami kematian anggota keluarga inti karena Covid-19. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan rancangan single case experimental design dengan membandingkan pengukuran sebelum dan sesudah treatment dilakukan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah individu dewasa awal (usia antara 18-40 tahun). Penelitian ini melibatkan dua orang subjek dengan hasil terdapat peningkatan pada skor Posttraumatic Growth Inventory (PTGI) setelah diberikan treatment dengan peningkatan rata-rata 10%.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat pengaruh Positive Cognitive Behavioral Therapy terhadap penurunan depresi pada tentara Nasional Indonesia Angkatan Darat yang memiliki disabilitas tingkat II akibat kecelakaan dalam tugas. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode eksperimen dengan disain penelitian the one group pretest-posttest design dengan jumlah subjek sebanyak tiga orang (n=3). Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Paired T-Test untuk menguji perbedaan skor depresi sebelum dan sesudah terapi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Positive Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (Positive-CBT) mampu menurunkan depresi pada Prajurit TNI yang mengalami disabilitas tingkat II akibat kecelakaan dalam tugas. Akan tetapi, penurunan ini secara statistik tidak signifikan apabila dilihat dari nilai Asymp.sig (Two-sided p) 0.118 dengan signifikansi 0.05%. Uji statistik tidak dapat terdeteksi secara jelas dan akurat untuk sampel sedikit (n=3).

Abstract

PDAM is a service company. The income is mostly coming from its customer payment for their water consumption bill. Employee who has responsible to inform the water usage is the metter recording section. It is become a phenomena that the metter recording staff is never meet their target which is to record the actual consumption meter on daily basis. Iaso there are a lot of mistake during recording that will be fatal for the next process. The company is trying hard to motivated its employee by giving them an incentive, but some of them still showing un optimal result.Intention of this research is to collect emparical data regarding relationship between attitude toward monotoneus worked with workers motivation as a meter recording at PDAM Bandung.This research is using coorelational method. The subject of the research are all of 16 meter recording employee at PDAM Bandung. Using the likers scale for the questionaire. To measure the variable in the research we are using the attitude questionare to monotoneus working and motivation to work questionare.Based on the result of Spearman Correlational rank test on significancy level of 0,05 the result showing that there is high positive relationship (rs = 0,797) between attitude toward monotoneus work ed with workers motivation. Characteris monotoneus worked with workers motivationtic of monotoneus worked are: 1) No need creativity have an average possitive correlation (rs = 0,664) with attitude to work, 2) Did not have a chance for growht have a high possitive correlation (rs = 0,745), 3) Did not give a freedom of work have a high possitive correlation (rs = 0,813), 4) Do the same work and repeatedly have a high possitive correlation (rs = 0,829) with attitude to work, and 5) The work not required special skill have an average possitive correlation (rs = 0,562) with attitude to work.
