Abstract

Kata kunci: Desalinasi, evaporasi, kualitas air, debit aliran lubang kecil  Abstract Meurandeh Village, Manyak Payed District, Aceh Tamiang Regency, which is located in a coastal area, makes it difficult to get clean water. The water used by the community is brackish water which is not suitable for consumption. The purpose of the research is to make a desalinator model with solar power and to determine the level of water quality. So we need a brackish water treatment system into clean water by making a prototype model of a solar desalinator measuring 100x100 cm, with a scale of 1:100 using the evaporation desalination method. From the distillation test, the volume of water was obtained which was then analyzed for flow through a small hole which resulted in a real discharge Q = 7,838 x 10-8 m3/s on day 1 which was smaller than the theoretical discharge Qt = 7,4 x 10-4 m3/ s due to the release of hot steam. The quality of the distilled water obtained is clear, tasteless, odorless, with the results of the TDS tool testing the value is 21 Mg/l and the pH meter is 7.3 Mg/l, these results are in accordance with quality standards so that the water is fit for consumption.   Keywords: Desalination, evaporation, water quality, borehole flow rate
