Abstract

A university is present in the community to assume the function of Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi, which is the function of Education and Teaching, Research, and Community Service. In order for Universities to be in direct contact with the community through the practice of science and technology, then the activities of community servicemust be done. Program of Community Service (Abdimas) is not only done by lecturers, but also students who are concrete tangible Real Work Lecture (KKN).KKN program at the Institute of Science & Technology AKPRIND Yogyakarta, as well as efforts to improve empathy and awareness of students in the community andapply science, especially science and technology in the midst of society. The process of implementing this KKN also get guidance from lecturers. In the guidance of this KKN,lecturers also play a role in the implementation of community service. With the involvement of this lecturer is expected to implement KKN can run in accordance withthe policy of the Institute. As the implementation of community service, especially at the location of KKN Wukirsari Bantul District, KKN team and lecturers provide science and technologythemed training. The training provided includes a mobile leaning targeted at the community.

Abstract

Abstract

The quality of PDAM water used by the community of Sumberungu Village, Tepus Subdistrict, Gunung Kidul Regency has a hardness content (lime) of 222.3 mg / L (from laboratory tests) in a high classification (hard). If the user is old enough to cause kidney disorders (kidney stones). Based on the above, to reduce the level of lime (hardness) and save on the cost of clean water treatment, it is necessary to make clean water treatment equipment using solar cells that are environmentally friendly for the partner community groups. The construction of clean water treatment equipment that was designed by the Community Partnership Program Team (PKM) is expected to reduce the level of lime and save costs, then the hardness in water in the partner community groups can decrease. In the end it can improve the health and well-being of partner community groups and the community in general. The results of observations in the field of clean water pengolan tool in order to reduce levels of lime that is designed is able to process raw water from Sumberwungu Village which has a hardness content of 222.3 mg / L. After entering into the treatment of clean water, the hardness content becomes 76 mg / L. 429/120. So from these results there was a decrease in hardness rate of 146.2 mg / L.

Abstract

Peranan IPTEK dalam antisipasi dan penanganan bencana alam sangatlah besar. Perkembangan TIK memberikan terobosan baru dalam layanan kesehatan mobile dengan memanfaatkan perangkat TI genggam atau yang biasa disebut dengan mobile doctor. Mobile doctor memiliki beberapa kelebihan kemampuan untuk penanganan bencana yang bisa diakses kapan saja, di mana saja, dan oleh siapa saja. Sistem ini, akan memungkinkan dokter untuk memantau dari jauh seorang pasien korban bencana yang dapat bebas bergerak, dan untuk situasi darurat. Problem yang ada adalah perangkat mobile doctor memiliki keterbatasan sumber daya dan keragaman platform sehingga diperlukan rancangan yang mampu menjamin kompatibilitas dan interoperabilitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menangani masalah kesehatan pasien korban bencana alam dengan memanfaatkan telepon seluler, agar dokter bisa memberikan informasi layanan medis yang lebih efektif dan efisien kepada pasien. Layanan mobile doctor ini memerlukan koneksi dan akses internet yang bagus, dan juga memerlukan hardware yang mumpuni agar bisa menikmati keseluruhan layanan medis dengan baik. Hasil yang diharapkan dari penelitian ini adalah sebuah software dan konten kesehatan berbasis seluler, sedang target utamanya adalah rancangan mobile doctor untuk layanan medis dalam penanganan bencana alam.

Abstract

In recent years, domestic carbage become a serious problem since not all waste is managed properly. The organic waste has a potential as a feedstock for biogas production. Before the fermentation process of biogas production, it is necessary to enumerate organic waste with the help of a multi-function chopper. In the present work, dual function machine (chopping and milling process) is designed and fabricated. The machine is driven with a 5.5 HP gasoline engine with a two-way transmission system connecting to each process. The first line transmission system on the chopping with a pulley size of 2 inch diameter, two grooves mounted on the motor and a 3 inch pulley mounted on the chopper axis with a rotation speed of 2400 rpm. The second line transmission system on the milling uses a 12 inch diameter pulley with a rotation of 600 rpm. The test results show that the capacity of the machine was 60 kg/h with 1 cm chopping size.
