Abstract

ABSTRAK Plantar fasciitis adalah suatu kondisi peradangan pada plantar fascia yang disebabkan oleh penguluran yang berlebihan yang dapat mengakibatkan robekan dan iritasi pada plantar fascia. Pasien dengan plantar fasciitis mengeluhkan rasa nyeri yang tajam di bagian belakang tumit dan arcus kaki. Apabila dibiarkan akan menyebabkan gangguan musculoskeletal lebih lanjut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penatalaksanaan myofascial release technique dan muscle energy technique pada penderita gangguan nyeri akibat plantar fasciitis bilateral. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode studi kasus dengan 1 orang responden menggunakan alat ukur Visual Analog Scale (VAS) untuk mengukur nyeri. Hasil dari penelitian yang dilakukan di Kelurahan Sungai Lulut, Kota Banjarmasin ialah myofascial release technique dan muscle energy technique selama 12 kali terapi dalam 4 minggu dapat mengurangi nyeri pasien plantar fasciitis.

Abstract

Hypertension is a condition where blood pressure continues to increase in a person who exceeds 120/80 mmHg with a long period of time even though the person is in a state of rest. The purpose of this research is to know physiotherapy management in the elderly who have hypertension and whether decrease in blood pressure after a physiotherapy intervention in the form of slow deep breathing (SDB) and swedish massage therapy (SMT). This study uses case study method using a single sample of hypertensive patients. Treatment is 12 times in 4 weeks time, measured using sphygmomanometer. The results of the research obtained after the evaluation is a decrease in blood pressure in hypertensive conditions. Based on this, SDB and SMT are effectively used in lowering blood pressure in hypertensive conditions. Recommended to future researchers be able to use shorter doses and carry out routine blood pressure checks

Abstract

Students are a group of people who spend more time in static positions. This can be seen during lecture hours and doing assignments. Students spend more time in a sitting position with less attention to posture, resulting in musculoskeletal disorders such as low back pain. Low back pain is pain caused by disorders or abnormalities in the elements of the muscles, nerves, structures or joints. The symptoms in this condition are pain, muscle weakness, and limited movement. Complications of these symptoms result in impaired functional activity in the vertebrae. The purpose of this study is to find out the description of the functional activity of low back pain in the superior polytechnic students of Kalimantan. The benefit of this research is to add knowledge and insight about how Low Back Pain Functional Activities are Described in Kalimantan Excellence Polytechnic Students. The method used in this study is a type of quantitative research with a descriptive research design. This research was conducted to describe the functional activities of students who experience low back pain by using the Oswestry Disability Index (ODI). The results of this study showed that it mostly occurred at the age of 21 years (33.69%), female sex (63%), Physiotherapy study program (29.34%), the most common type of low back pain was myogenic low back pain (98%) ), functional activity with mild interpretation (98%) and normal body mass index (72%).

Abstract

Osteoatritis is characterized by a decrease in joint synovial fluid, decreased muscle tone, joint cartilage becomes thinner, ligaments become stiffer, decreased elasticity and flexibility and a decrease in joint motion, one of the initial symptoms experienced is knee pain. This study aims to determine physiotherapy management in reducing motion pain in knee osteoatritis patients using Thermal Therapy Modalities, namely Infrared and Closed Kinetic Chain Exercises. This study uses a descriptive quantitative research type case study with 4 respondents conducted at Sultan Suriansyah Hospital Banjarmasin and at the home of each patient with Visual Analog Scale measuring instruments. After the therapy was carried out for 9 times, the pre-test results were obtained with the interpretation of no pain at 0%, mild pain at 40% and moderate pain at 60%. The post test results showed a decrease in pain, namely in the interpretation of no pain to 25% mild pain to 40% and moderate pain to 35%. Based on this data, it can be concluded that Infrared and CKC Exercise can reduce motion pain.
