Abstract

Facing an era of free trade, governments and businesses must continue to increase growth across sectors such as trade, investment, and so forth. Indonesia's economic competitiveness globally in 2013 rose three ratings compared to the previous year. This is also the case in the heavy equipment market, especially PT Caterpillar Indonesia. PT Caterpillar Indonesia is facing increasingly tight competition with other heavy equipment manufacturers, both from domestic and abroad.In this research will discuss trucking, storage, freight, and duty by PT Caterpillar Indonesia in order to save and cost efficiency. The approach used is descriptive qualitative research. The authors also want to lift the phenomenon and obstacles that exist in the implementation of management systems, trying to find a discussion of existing problems and describe the descriptive research results that have been achieved.The data shows that there is a difference in the average cost efficiency of storage compared to LCL method consolidation method by 40.35%. For the difference in average cost efficiency of trucking compared to LCL method consolidation method by 24%. While there is no difference in the average cost efficiency of freight over the LCL consolidation method. Finally there is an overall average cost efficiency difference compared to consolidation method with LCL method of 15.62%.

Abstract

The main issue arise from the human resources’ role who participate in stevedoring process and management documents to improve the performance process of transporting goods at the Port. Stevedoring activities are implemented with performance responsibilities. The purpose of this study is to analyze the responsibility role in improving the stevedoring performances at Tanjung Bulek Port (case study of PT. BANDAR KRIDA JASINDO); exploretheobstacles facedby PT. BANDAR KRIDA JASINDO to improve their stevedoring performances; and to inspect the solutions from PT. BANDAR KRIDA JASINDO to tackle the obstacles. From the study results, it can be concluded that the cargo handling process is a stevedoring performance, which including: Ioad/ unload and receiving/ shipping activities. In terms of the responsibility role to improve the human resources' performances in stevedoring process, herein referred to PT. BANDAR KRIDA JASINDO. Stevedore companies only provides services (human resources) for the cargo activities from warehouse to and/or from a ship. They are responsible to load or offload cargo on board at the Port warehouse.

Abstract

Imported apparel products with tactical military elements are increasingly recognized by consumers in the Indonesian market. Consumers' interest in tactical dress styles can be seen in their appearance and daily activities. Fans of the tactical military style come from various circles, both TNI and Polri and civil society, with various backgrounds. This study aims to identify and analyze the factors that influence the sales of import apparel products with tactical military elements (case study of PT. Indo Taktika Gritama). In addition, this study was also conducted to identify and analyze the obstacles and solutions to the existing obstacles. The approach used is descriptive-analytical qualitative, with advantages in the form of the ability to numerically analyze difficult or unmeasured problems. This study uses data analysis techniques with the  theory of Miles, Huberman and Saldana. The influencing factors include aspects of function, quality, innovation, technology, price, needs, social environment and ease of shopping
