Abstract

Selective Cutting and Line Planting (SCLP) silvicultural system can be applied in the logged over forest and low potential forest to improve their productivity . The research was aimed to create the growth modelling of Shorea plantations in the line planting system. The research was conducted at research plots of SCLP in logged over forest of PT Gunung Meranti, Central Kalimantan Province. The research plots were divided into three plots of Shorea Jeprosula plantation that planted in 1994 as plot 1, year 1999 as plot 2 and year 2008 in which consisted of 200 samples of trees, respectively. Data of Shorea Jeprosula growth were evaluated by Stella 9.0.2 and SPSS 13, and predicted using table of volume, exponential and polynomial equations. The research result showed that exponential equation was y= 1,0269.e0,012x(R2= 96,02%) and estimated cutting cycle at 37 year old, average polynomial equation was y=0,0297x2+ 0,8208x + 0,3728 (R2= 86,89%) and estimated cutting cycle at 30 year old and group polynomial equations (R2> 95%) estimated cutting cycle at 32 years old. The best model was group polynomial equations that represented exponential equation and average polynomial equation in the yield of volume.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis struktur tegakan dan cadangankarbon padasistem agroforestri (kebun campuran) serta korelasinya di Hulu DAS Kali Bekasi . Tiga puluh plot pengamatan dibuatpada lokasi penelitian yang diletakkan pada bagian Hulu DAS yang mewakili bagian atas, tengah dan bawah dari wilayah hulu. Estimasi cadangan karbon dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode non - destruktif  yaitu menggunakan persamaan alometrik yang telah dikembangkan. Hasil analisis vegetasi menunjukkan bahwa tingkat keragaman Shannon pada lokasi penelitian adalah rendah sampai menengah. Beberapa jenis vegetasi yang ada teridentifikasi memiliki kemampuan tinggi dalam menyerap karbon sehingga berpotensi untuk meningkatkan cadangan karbon dan konservasi keanekaragaman hayati. Hasil analisa struktur tegakan pada sistem agroforestri (Kebun campuran) di Hulu DAS Kali Bekasi menunjukkan struktur tegakan yang menyerupai struktur hutan alam. Kebun campuran menghasilkan 62,34 tonsC/ha cadangan karbon atau setara dengan 228,79 ton CO2-eq/ha.Cadangan karbon dalam sistem agroforestry (Kebun campuran) sangat dipengaruhi oleh luas bidang dasar tegakan tetapi meskipun demikiankerapatan tegakan dan keragaman spesies memiliki korelasi rendah dengan cadangan karbon.Kata kunci: Hulu DAS Kali Bekasi, sistem agroforestri (Kebun campuran), struktur tegakan, cadangan karbon, korelasi

Abstract

KUALITAS AIR SUNGAI CISADANE, JAWA BARAT - BANTEN Ratna Siahaan1), Andry Indrawan2), Dedi Soedharma2), dan Lilik B.Prasetyo2) 1)Mahasiswa S3 Sekolah Pascasarjana IPB, Dosen Universitas Sam Ratulangi; e-mail:ratna245_siahaan@yahoo.com; 2)Dosen Sekolah  Pascasarjana IPB, Bogor ABSTRAK Sungai Cisadane memiliki fungsi dan nilai untuk kesejahteraan manusia dan hidupan liar yang hidup di dalam sungai. Kegiatan manusia yang memanfaatkan air sungai dan membuang sampah/limbah ke Sungai Cisadane dapat menurunkan kualitas air Sungai Cisadane. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kualitas air S.Cisadane berdasarkan faktor fisika dan kimia air sungai. Penelitian dilakukan di sembilan (9) titik di sepanjang Sungai Cisadane dari hulu hingga hilir pada Agustus-November 2011. Hasil menunjukkan jika air Sungai Cisadane telah tercemar. Secara umum, kualitas air Sungai Cisadane di bagian hulu dan tengah (Stasiun 1-6) masih dapat dipergunakan sebagai air untuk peruntukan Kelas 2 (PP.No.82/2001) dengan kualitas air tercemar ringan. Namun, air Sungai Cisadane di bagian hilir (Stasiun 7-8) hanya untuk peruntukan Kelas 3 dan 4 dan dikategorikan tercemar parah. Kata kunci: kualitas air, sungai Cisadane   WATER QUALITY OF CISADANE RIVER, WEST JAVA-BANTEN ABSTRACT Cisadane River has functions and values for human welfare and wildlife. Human activities in using river water and dumping waste to the river could decrease water quality of Cisadane River. The aim of this research was to analysis water quality of Cisadane River based on physical and chemical factor.  Water sampling was conducted along Cisadane River from up to downstream at nine (9) stations. Result showed that Cisadane River is polluted. Generally, water quality of Cisadane River in up and middle part (Station 1-6) could be used for purposes as in Class 2 (Gov.Reg/PP No.82/2001) and classified into moderately polluted. But, water quality of down Cisadane River (Station 7-9) only for Class 3 and 4 that categorized into heavily polluted. Keywords: Cisadane river, water quality
