Abstract

Language Skill consists of four components of speaking, writing, listening and reading. The most important thing for children is speaking, because it provides enormous benefits, one of which so that children can interact with peers and others around them and add new knowledge. Storytelling is a popular communication medium for children, training their ability to focus attention for some time on certain objects. Children are able to express themselves through a process that makes them happy and fosters a sense of satisfaction that makes them more confident. Tale or story telling is something human, that is, fairy tale or story using eye, hearing, motion, and touching heart. The benefits of storytelling activities are: 1.) Storytelling can develop children's imagination, 2.) Increasing experience, 3.) Train concentration power, 4.) Increasing the vocabulary, 5.) Creating a familiar atmosphere, 6.) comprehending, 7.) Developing social feelings, 8.) Developing children's emotions, 9.) Practicing listening, 10.) Knowing positive and negative values. 11.) Abstract

In this modern era, the interest in reading in children is very alarming. Nowadays children prefer to play gadgets or games rather than reading, even though reading is a window to the world. By reading we can add insights and knowledge that we have never known before. Abstract

The objectives of this research are to find out total errors of the student when they pronouncing English word containing diphthongs, to find out what type of diphthongs that students made the most frequently mispronounced, to find out what type of diphthongs that students made the least frequently mispronounced, and to find out the factors influencing error pronunciation that the student made in English word containing diphthongs.In this research the writer used qualitative method. The subjects of this research were 40 of the First Semester students at STAIN Jurai Siwo Metro in academic year 2015/2016. The instrument of this research was a pronunciation test of the English word containing 9 types of English diphthongs, and voice recorder to record the students’ pronounciation.The data of this research were collected by giving the English pronunciation test. The collected data were identified, classified, analyzed and interpreted.. The results of the analysis showed that the students made errors out of the total 499 words. The types of diphthongs that the students the most frequently mispronounced are [oʊ] (62 words), [aʊ] (61 words), [ʊə] (59 words), [ɔə] (59 words), and [ɛə] ( 58 words),.The type of diphthongs that the students the least frequently mispronounced is [aɪ] (46 word).The factors influencing error pronunciation that the students made are the habit of students in pronouncing the word that contains of diphthongs and the students pronounced the word as it was written in the orthographic writing.

Abstract

Sex education must be started from the family, especially the role of the two parents who must introduce sex education. One way of introducing sex education to early childhood is through toilet training. Toilet training of children is an effort to train children to be able to control their urination and defecation. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of parents in introducing sex education to children through toilet training. The research used qualitative approach (field research) which was conducted at Perum Palm Asri Sumber Cirebon. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, interviews, and documentation. The finding of the research is the sex education is very important to be introduced to children from an early age, especially with regard to the introduction of reproductive organs and sex. The strategy of parents by explaining to children that the reproductive organ in the front is testis for peeing. While the back (rectum) for defecation.
