Abstract

Environmental damage that occurred in Indonesia in the last three decades is due to human behavior by exploiting and depleting the universe in order to meet the interests and needs of human’s life. The objectives of this research were (1) to find out the direct effect of the students’environmental knowledge towards the environmental awareness, (2) to find out the indirect effect of the students' environmental knowledge towards the environmental awareness through ethics, (3) to find out the direct effect of student's ethics on environmental awareness. The sample of this research was the students of economic education who hadlearned the subject of environmental education. The researcher used a quantitative approach with explanatory research design to explain the state of each variable. Two things that contribute to environmental awareness were ethics and environmental knowledge. The results of this study showed that environmental and ethical knowledge significantly influenced environmental awareness. The environmental knowledge will shape students' attitudes and ethics towards the environment.

Abstract

Nowadays, competence mastery is highly required in order to compete in the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) Era. The purpose of this research is to figure out the students’ understanding and readiness dealing with the ASEAN Economic Community as well as the possible encountering problems when competing in the ASEAN Economic Community Era. This research uses a descriptive-qualitative approach conducted at Economics Faculty involving respondents of office administration education department students in the academic year of 2014/2015. The data are collected through questionnaires. The research results show that based on the aspect of communication competence, students are adequately ready with the percentage of 71.46%; based on the aspect of capability competence, they are categorized into high by 64.72%; and their knowledge competence has already reached 73.14%.Keywords: Labor markets in the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) Era, Students’ readiness, Working competence,

Abstract

Perilaku konsumen sulit untuk diamati dan dipahami secara langsung, akan tetapi perilaku yang terlihat dalam pembelian seseorang timbul karena adanya interaksi dengan lingkungan mereka, dan dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor budaya, sosial, pribadi, dan psikologis. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh financial literacy, status sosial ekonomi orang tua, dan gaya hidup terhadap perilaku konsumsi mahasiswa yang tinggal di pondok pesantren. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian adalah mahasiswa yang tinggal di pondok pesantren se Gunungpati Semarang berjumlah 772 mahasiswa, dengan sampel 264 mahasiswa dengan teknik proportionate random sampling. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis regresi linear berganda. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa variabel perilaku konsumsi berada pada kategori tinggi, variabel financial literacy dan variabel status sosial ekonomi orang tua berada pada kategori rendah, variabel gaya hidup berada pada kategori cukup. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh secara signifikan financial literacy, status sosial ekonomi orang tua, gaya hidup terhadap perilaku konsumsi mahasiswa, terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan financial literacy terhadap perilaku konsumsi mahasiswa, terdapat pengaruh negatif dan signifikan status sosial ekonomi orang tua terhadap perilaku konsumsi mahasiswa, terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan gaya hidup terhadap perilaku konsumsi mahasiswa.

Abstract

Poverty is a major problem faced by all countries including Indonesia. One of the poverty alleviation programs in Indonesia is the Family of Hope Program (PKH). Central Java Province is one of the provinces that has a relatively high number of poor people among the provinces in Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to examine the success of the PKH Program in poverty alleviation efforts in Central Java. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of the Family Hope Program (PKH) in poverty alleviation efforts through PKH policies in Central Java Province, starting from the education, health and social welfare components. The theory used in this study is the vicious circle theory of poverty. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques namely observation, interviews, and study documentation. The results of this study indicate that the Family Hope Program (PKH) in Wonosobo Regency, Central Java Province has succeeded in reducing poverty levels in addition to that the implementation of the Family Hope Program (PKH) in Wonosobo Regency has run quite well. But in reality there are still many Beneficiary Families (KPM) who depend on PKH assistance, given that such assistance is only temporary and is more focused on breaking the poverty chain.
