The transformation of economic structure is not only act as a sector dominance contributing to Gross Regional Domestic Product, but also acts as the dominance of labor sector absorption. In 1994, the dominance of primary sector in contributing East Java’s Gross Regional Domestic Product is already replaced by secondary sector and later by tertiary sector in 2004. The labor sector absorption is still dominated by agricultural sector until now. This research was aimed to describe the patterns of Transformation of economic structure and changes in the proportion of labor in East Java Province from 1998 to 2012, as well as analyzed the effect of each variables. By using factor analysis for latent variables first, the quantitative result based on path analysis has proved that economic growth and income per capita has a direct effect to the Transformation of economic structure. The increase of economic growth and income per capita has lead to the decrease in agricultural (primary sector) and industrial (secondary sector) proportion in contributing East Java’s GRDP which is followed by the increase proportion in trade, hotel and restaurant (tertiary sector). The Transformation of economic structure has a direct effect to change the proportion of labor, whereas the economic growth and income per capita have indirect effect to that. During this process, the agricultural labor absorption decreased very slowly while industrial labor absorption increased slowly, as well as the trade, hotels and restaurants. The results also showed that the changes in the the proportion of labor has direct effect to income per capita along with the domination of high productivity sector such as trade, hotels and restaurants which leads the economic growth. Keywords : Transformation of economic structure, changes of the proportion of labor, economic growth, income per capita

Abstract

The Special Capital Region of Jakarta is one of the twelve provinces that receive the mandate for establishing a waste-powered electric generator (the Intermediate Treatment Facility), which is popular with the name of FPSA, an Indonesian acronym for Intermediary Waste Management Facility. However, since its inauguration in 2018, the development has not taken place until 2022 due to fund shortage. The cause is the high construction cost, in which the budget of IDR 3 trillion is too much for the local budget to cover, making the project stopped. Until 2021, the amount of cash waqf in Indonesia has reached IDR 180 trillion. That sum of money is potential to be used as a funding alternative for the project. This descriptive qualitative research discusses how cash waqf paly its role in supporting the FPSA program using case study approach. The primary data examined here were obtained from interviews. The results show that the potential and the reality of cash waqf can support the FPSA program through small aid scale and that the use of waqf-through-money scheme is more suitable for the construction of FPSA .

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of saving interest of Islamic Economics students of Universitas Brawijaya on Sharia Banks. This study uses Attitude variables, Subjective Norms, and Behavioral Control as factors that influence interest in saving at Islamic banks. The sampling method uses probability sampling with the Proportional Random Sampling metahod. The research sample consisted of 100 students of Islamic Economics class of 2017-2019 who were randomly selected. The results showed that attitudes had a significant positive influence on students' interest in saving at Islamic banks, subjective norms also had a significant effect on students' interest in saving at Islamic banks, but behavioral control did not have a significant influence on students' interest in saving at Islamic banks. So the conclusion can be drawn is that subjective attitudes and norms are important factors in influencing the interest of Islamic Economics students to save at Islamic banks. However, behavioral control did not make a significant contribution to this.

Abstract

The current economic condition of Indonesian society can be considered uneven. With the majority of the population being Muslims, the guidance and Islamic principles in addressing the problems of poverty within the community become important to implement. ZIS stands for Zakat, Infaq, and Shodaqoh, which refer to activities carried out by Muslims to share with those in need. In this digital era, people tend to transform their behaviors into digital lifestyles in every activity and transaction they engage in. This also extends to the community in terms of increasing the collection of ZIS funds. This study aims to determine the effects of the perceived ease of use, perceived effectiveness, and the perceived risk of digital fundraising usage on the intention to pay ZIS funds. The population of this research consists of the residents of Malang City who use digital fundraising to pay ZIS. A sample of 123 respondents was selected using purposive sampling technique. Data collection was conducted by distributing questionnaires to the respondents. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with SmartPLS software. The results of the study indicate that the perceived ease of use significantly effect on the intention to pay ZIS using digital fundraising (online), the effectiveness variable significantly effect on the intention to pay ZIS using digital fundraising (online), and the risk variable does not significantly effect on the intention to pay ZIS using digital fundraising (online).
