Abstract

The challenge of construction supply chain management is to maintain supply and demand in the supply chain flow and ensure a sustainable supply chain in the framework of lean construction. This challenge must be captured as part of the solution of the development of the rapidly growing construction industry. At present a sustainableSCOR on the Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) version 12.0 has been developed. SustainableSCOR is a concept of a sustainable supply chain performance measurement approach by considering environmental aspects. The aim of this study is to adopt a supply chain performance measurement model in the sustainable construction of SCOR 12.0. The research method adopts standards, categories, and matrices in sustainableSCOR to a constructionally validated definition to academics and practitioners. The discussion of the supply chain continues with the calculation of each matrix. The results showed that all sustainableSCOR categories, namely materials, recycled inputs, recovered inputs, energy, water, emissions, and waste can be adopted to measure sustainable supply chain performance in construction. The adoption of this performance measurement needs to be detailed into one of the construction materials, in this study is steel material.

Abstract

Masjid selain sebagai tempat beribadah umat Islam juga dapat digunakan sebagai sarana penyaluran zakat, kajian bahkan diskusi tentang ekonomi dan sosial kemasyarakatan. Sebagai tempat yang banyak fungsinya maka baik kegiatan dan sarana prasarana perlu ditingkatkan. Saat ini Masjid Darussalam hanya mampu menampung sekitar 350 jamaah, sedangkan jumlah jamaah sudah mencapai 500 jamaah Masjid Darussalam dirasakan kecil saat shalat jumat, shalat tarawih dan shalat ied. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah mendapatkan desain rencana yang memenuhi syarat teknis guna memberikan rencana struktur yang baik pada Masjid Darussalam. Metode penerapan Ilmu Pengetahuan dan Teknologi (IPTEK) dilakukan dalam beberapa tahap yaitu survei lapangan dan pembuatan desain renovasi masjid dengan software Structure Analysis Program (SAP2000). Dengan diadakannya kegiatan ini, maka takmir dapat menyampaikan ke jamaah dan warga setempat tentang hasil perhitungan struktur dan gambaran rencana renovasi masjid.

Abstract

Landslide risk is common on most slopes. It happened suddenly. Landslides are caused by the presence of shear stress and a decrease in shear strength in the landslide area. Sambiroto Urban Village is one of the areas with relatively steep slopes so that it is prone to landslides. One method to overcome landslides is to install a retaining wall. The design of a secure retaining wall must take into account the factors of safety for shear, overturning and bearing capacity. Based on the calculation of retaining wall designed is gravity type with height 500 cm, width under 280 cm, width 55 cm, with retaining wall soil entering ground as high as 70 cm. Gravity retaining walls with these dimensions have been analyzed to be safe against overturning hazards, shear hazards and bearing capacity.

Abstract

Setiap aktivitas manusia membutuhkan sumber daya air dalam pelaksanaannya. Saat ini, dengan perkembangan penduduk yang semakin banyak menyebabkan kebutuhan air bersih pun meningkat. Suplai air bersih dapat diperoleh dari air permukaan. Apabila tidak ada, maka dapat menggunakan air tanah, namun, eksploitasi air tanah yang berlebihan dapat menyebabkan berkurangnya cadangan air tanah, yang berakibat jangka panjang terhadap terjadinya penurunan tanah. Dengan demikian, diperlukan kegiatan pengelolaan dan pelestarian air dimana salah satunya adalah menggunakan Biopori. Biopori selain untuk menjaga ketersediaan air, juga dapat mengurangi sampah organik, menyuburkan tanah, serta membantu mencegah terjadinya banjir. Telah banyak sosialisasi biopori yang dilakukan, namun demikian, masyarakat masih belum dapat mengimplementasikan di lapangan karena kurangnya contoh secara nyata. Pendampingan secara langsung diperlukan sebagai rangkaian kegiatan pembuatan biopori, oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dapat memberikan contoh langsung pembuatan Biopori kepada masyarakat. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan di Desa Jembrak, Kecamatan Pabelan, Kabupaten Semarang, Jawa Tengah. Dengan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini, yang dilakukan melalui sosialisasi dan dilanjutkan pendampingan pembuatan Biopori, maka diharapkan semakin membuat masyarakat sadar akan pentingnya Biopori. Selain itu, pelaksanaan Biopori yang mudah, cepat, dan murah diharapkan dapat membangkitkan ketertarikan bagi masyarakat untuk membuatnya.

Abstract

Planning of drawings as an initial design stage in a building construction are needed as a work reference for contractors and supervisors as well as a description of the work to be carried out as transparency for the owner. This initial design is between the preliminary study and design calculations stage. By predetermining design drawing, then the calculation of the design which referring to the design drawing can be carried out. This calculation includes the endurance of the structure and its Budget Plan. Currently, there are many necessities of mosque renovation in line with population growth in both urban and rural areas. A prayer room in a village needs renovation because during holidays such as Idhul Fitri, prayer cannot accommodate congregations. Therefore, the renovation can improve the function of the mosque. Initial planning in a construction work is usually in the form of a simple drawing design which includes 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional drawings. This community service activity integrates the knowledge on campus to be applied in society. One of the 3-dimensional design drawing software is using Google SketchUp. The result of this community service activity is a front and side view plan drawing which is used as a reference in calculating the budget plan and project work methods. The community participates by having discussions regarding the Mushala design so that it can match with the requirements of the community and ease of construction later. In addition, this activity can also increase public knowledge about making designs with Google SketchUp.

Abstract

Pesatnya Pesatnya perkembangan perindustrian di bidang transportasi dantatanan pertamanan kota, turut mempengaruhi industri paving block. Salah satu home industri yang berkembang dalam bidang produksi paving block adalah UD. Putra Mandiri dan UD Abadi jaya yang bertempat di jalan Prof. Suharso No. 27 Semarang. Usaha paving block ini dilakukan secara bersamaan pengelolaannya dengan kegiatan usaha lainnya seperti batako. Tingginya permintaan konsumen terhadap paving block tidak diimbangi dengan ketersediaan kualitas yang memadai baik dari segi kekuatan, umur pakai, dan durability paving. Pada usaha ini masih banyak ditemukan beberapa produk yang retak dan pecah, hal ini mungkin disebabkan oleh proses pencetakan yang masih menggunakan proses manual dengan tenaga manusia. Proses pencetakan manual ini menyebabkan ketidak konsistensian dalam pemadatan cetakan paving block sehingga seringkali hasil produksi tidak dapat dipasarkan karena terdapat banyak produk yang cacat. Sehingga tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk melakukan pemeriksaan uji kuat tekan produk Paving Block yang dihasilkan mitra dengan proses pencetakan manual, serta membandingkan kuat tekan produk tersebut dengan Paving Block hasil pencetakan dengan proses mekanis.

Abstract

Masjid sebagai tempat ibadah menjadi bangunan yang selalu digunakan oleh masyarakat islam untuk beribadah. Seiring dengan pertumbuhan penduduk maka perlu dilakukan perluasan masjid yang lebih baik. Masjid Yayasan Amalbhakti Muslim Pancasila (YAMP) Tlogosari, Semarang, Jawa Tengah menjadi salah satu masjid yang membutuhkan perluasan bangunan. Masjid ini digunakan untuk ibadah wajib dan sunnah, pendidikan, dan kegiatan masyarakat. Oleh karena itu tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah melakukan pendampingan perencanaan pengembangan atau perluasan masjid YAMP sesuai dengan kriteria bangunan gedung. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian meliputi survei lokasi, pembuatan gambar kerja masjid, penyusunan rencana anggaran biaya, penjelasan hasil gambar dan biaya ke pengelola masjid. Hasil dari pengabdian ini adalah tersusunnya gambar teknis dan rencana anggaran biaya yang dimanfaatkan oleh pengelola masjid untuk menjadi dasar renovasi masjid. Pengelola masjid menjadi terbekali dengan gambar rencana dan rencana biaya saat dilakukan pekerjaan konstruksi.

Abstract

Contractor selection plays a vital role in project management, where factors such as cost, quality, and time must be carefully considered. This study presents an innovative approach to optimize contractor selection using an AI-driven method based on Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO). The objective is to achieve the best possible selection of contractors by considering multiple criteria simultaneously. Real-world data on cost estimates, quality scores, and project times are collected and normalized for fair comparison. The PSO algorithm is utilized to search for the optimal combination of contractors that minimizes cost, maximizes quality, and minimizes project time. The proposed weighted objective function evaluates the performance of each contractor based on the selected criteria. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of the AI-driven PSO method in achieving optimal contractor selection. The findings highlight the potential of using AI techniques for decision-making in project management, enabling project stakeholders to make informed and data-driven contractor selection decisions. This research contributes to the growing body of knowledge on AI applications in project management and provides practical insights for project managers and stakeholders involved in contractor selection processes.

Abstract

In the simple buildings, shallow foundations can be used to support the construction above them. This shallow foundation has various types, including the type of footplate which can be calculated using the Terzaghi equation. In the Terzaghi equation, it requires dimension parameters of the footing and soil material parameters such as cohesion and soil volume weight which requires laboratory testing to obtain it. Meanwhile, Schmertmann provides an equation to obtain the Terzaghi bearing capacity factor in the form of Nq and Nγ by using the Cone Penetration Test (CPT). This bearing capacity factor value can be used to calculate the bearing capacity using the Terzaghi Equation. In addition, Schmertmann also provides an equation to directly calculate the bearing capacity value based on CPT data. Based on this problem, this study analyzes the bearing capacity of various footplate dimensions using the Schmertmann approach. The study took place in the Argoboga, Salatiga which the type of soil based on the CPT test value generally is sandy soil. The results show that the bearing capacity calculated by the Nq correlation method is greater than the Nγ correlation method and the direct correlation method. In addition, the greater the difference between the dimensions and the depth of the foundation, the greater the deviation of the bearing capacity results between each method.

Abstract

Productivity is a challenge in the construction industry, commonly initiated by fragmentation. In addition, some work levels have been identified, including the micro, meso, and macro. However, the construction supply chain is one of the possible solutions adopted to increase productivity. The purpose of this study, therefore, is to develop a framework for measuring supply chain construction performance at the micro, meso, and macro levels. These respective stages are tiered from the bottom to the top level as a supply chain management concept. Furthermore, a design for the supply chain performance measurement framework is created, followed by formulation with KPI, and the consequent application in the project. Therefore, performance is evaluated based on the construction materials, as a large resource. The results identified the supply chain performance at the micro-level as the basis for possible measures between contractor and supplier, using the SCOR. However, the emphasis was made on the strength of construction companies with large suppliers at the meso level. Meanwhile, the macro-level includes the accumulation of related measurements from micro as well as meso, and are consequently used to define the relationship between construction actors at the national level.
