Abstract

This article elaborates the result of the Pilot Study which is related to IT implementation factors at the Higher Education Institution (HEI), a pilot study is used to validate quantitative readiness model of IT implementation. The main objective of this study is examining the factors that influence the readiness of IT implementation in HEI. This study attempts to analyze IT Content factors, Institutional Context, People, Process, Technology, Service Quality and IT Implementation Readiness (ITIR). The sample of data was taken from 150 HEIs throughout Indonesia which was then processed in statistical techniques through PLS-SEM method. The research finding shows that 9 of the 14 hypotheses used as ITIR model construct have a very significant influence on IT implementation on HEI, so that this finding can provide a comprehensive contribution to the literature of ITIR model development.

Abstract

This paper elucidates the sequential revisions of an information system (IS) project framework across the research model development and its examinations. The authors adopted, adapted, and combined five concepts of the project management discipline and the information processing theory to revise the framework. Besides the use of this multi-dimensional perspective, the authors were also succeeded to present an interrelation between the framework and the examined model within a coherent representation. It was one of the essential points of this model development study, in particular for presenting the research focus. It may be trivial issue for the experts in the research fields, but the coherent illustration is one of the critical issues in the validity measurement of a model, whereas the inexpert ones may need a guideline to represent the interrelationship. Such points became the main contribution of this study to fill the gap in the literatures, particularly in the lack of comprehensive detail of a research model development.

Abstract

It is inevitable that information system (IS) has been the essential role in the management and academic functions of the higher education institutions (HEIs) in developing countries, like Indonesia. In this country, despite the IS project developments have been performed since 1980s, but its performances tended still low. The efforts have been performed for responding this issue, but the studies have been remained in limited number. Accordingly, this study was carried out to know what factors that influence the satisfactions, in respect of its significant effects towards the project performances. The internal stakeholders were the population, which was sampled using the purpose random sampling. The 52 (87%) paper based data and the 61 (9%) online ones were then used in the data analysis stage with the partial least squares-structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) method. The results revealed that, besides the system and service qualities directly affected the endogenous variable, the institutional contexts also indirectly influenced the variable. The study remained limitations, but its findings may theoretically and practically contributes towards the user satisfaction measurement, especially from the perspectives of the Islamic HEIs in Indonesia.

Abstract

User satisfaction is one of the system use variables which is affected by the system creation variables in the information system (IS) success measurements, especially in the mandatory use of IS. This paper reports the relational variable assessments between three variables of the system creation dimension towards the user satisfaction variable in the library information system (LIS) implementation of a sampled university in Indonesia. Practically, the measurement has never been done since the early system implementation in the institution. The study focused on the status of the user satisfaction construct and what are the factors which influenced the construct. The used measurement model was adopted and adapted from the DeLone and McLean’s IS success model. A total of 185 respondents were selected in this study using multi-stage purposeful random sampling. The researchers used the partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) with the SmartPLS version 2.0 for analyzing the collected data. Findings of the study showed that users of the LIS were sufficiently satisfied and the proposed hypotheses were accepted. In terms of the adopted model, besides the findings theoretically proved that the user satisfaction construct has affected by the system creation constructs; the findings may also have proposed the practical recommendations to the sampled institution for the next LIS improvements in particular.

Abstract

This research aims to compare the performance of three classification algorithms, namely Random Forest, XGBoost, and LightGBM, in classifying emotions in Reddit comments. Emotion classification in Reddit comments is a complex classification problem due to its numerous variations and ambiguities. This research utilizes the GoEmotions Fine-Grained dataset, filtered down to 7,325 Reddit comments with 5 different basic emotion labels. In this study, data preprocessing steps, feature extraction using CountVectorizer and TF-IDF, and hyperparameter tuning using GridSearchCV for each algorithm are conducted. Subsequently, model evaluation is performed using Cross-Validation and confusion matrix. The results of the study indicate that Random Forest outperforms the XGBoost and LightGBM algorithm with an accuracy of 75.38% compared to XGBoost with 69.05% accuracy and LightGBM with 66.63% accuracy.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital telah mendorong peningkatan penelitian dalam analisis sentimen di berbagai platform digital. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memvisualisasikan tren analisis sentimen. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan merupakan analisis bibliometrik dengan data yang diperoleh dari database Scopus. Pencarian data dilakukan dengan kata kunci utama “sentiment” dan “analysis”, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan perangkat lunak seperti R Studio, Biblioshiny, dan VOSviewer. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penelitian analisis sentimen mengalami peningkatan signifikan dalam rentang tahun 2020-2025, dengan metode berbasis kecerdasan buatan seperti BERT, Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM), dan Lexicon sebagai teknik yang paling dominan. Selain itu, analisis tren topik mengungkapkan bahwa pendekatan terbaru, seperti aspect-based sentiment analysis dan deep reinforcement learning, semakin banyak digunakan. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukan bahwa Domain atau area implementasi penelitian analisis sentimen pada Teknologi, Ilmu Sosial, dan Bisnis sebagai domain paling dominan.

Abstract

Commodity Auction Markets (PLK) serve as a platform for interactions between sellers and buyers to conduct transactions through a price-bidding system. Traditionally, these auctions are held offline to facilitate transactions between farmers, farmer groups, traders, businesses, and other commodity buyers. However, conventional auctions face multiple challenges, including inefficiencies in execution time, limited access to information for buyers, and high operational costs. This study aims to design and develop an Integrated e-Auction Market System (PLT) based on the English Auction model. The system supports the entire auction process from preparation, announcement, and bidding, to winner determination and transaction finalization. System development was conducted using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) approach for planning, analysis, design, and implementation phases. Unified Modeling Language (UML) tools were utilized to model system design components.The web-based PLT system successfully integrates all auction processes efficiently and transparently. It provides stakeholders with access to commodity catalogs, session schedules, and detailed transaction information, while enabling real-time online auctions. The implementation of this system is expected to broaden commodity marketing networks, increase local government revenues, and significantly reduce auction operational costs particularly venue rental expenses.
