Abstract

As commonly known that theload fluctuations that have been performed on an induction motor operated as an induction generator (IG) triggers unstable induced voltage and frequency. Asthe result, the load that receiving the power quality is not running properly and the efficiency is low. The problems that have beenmitigated in this research in such way is the stability of the voltage that generated by IG due to fluctuating loading, and the harmonics can be damped by single tuned due to the work of thyristors and non-linear loads. The used method is the Ziegler-Nichols method by measuring and testing the design of prototype to get the best performance in stabilizing the voltage by using thyristor control reactor (TCR). The results showed that the induced generator with single tuned filter and TCR to nonlinear load variation at 1618 RPM is maintained stably for the voltage and frequency. Although, 3rd order harmonics of voltage and current that has been tuned can be dampedby using THDI 8.36%. Furthermore, it can be said that the response that generated by voltage control system using proportionalintegral (PI) control in 1kW-4 poles three-phase IG with additional and reductionalload generated a stable response.

Abstract

Gayo Lues has an operational micro-hydro power plant in Tingkem Village, Blangjerango District, which provides lighting, piping, and electricity to the residents of Tingkem Village. Among the objectives of this study were to determine and investigate the potential of the Aih Tilis river, the discharge of the carrier channel, the volume of the tranquilizer tank, the flow of water through the pipe, and the amount of electricity generated. Transport lines, troughs, and tubing are measured and calculated in this process. The discharge obtained on the carrier line is 0.5304816 m3/s, which is equal to 5.3 liters per second. There are 72.4605 cubic meters of dry trough volume and 65.556 cubic meters of wet section volume in this experiment. When the micro-hydroelectric power plant in Tingkem is operating at full capacity, it generates 79.631 kW of electricity with a turbine efficiency value of 70 percent and a generator efficiency value of 75 percent.

Abstract

Saat ini kebutuhan energi listrik semakin meningkat seiring dengan pertambahan jumlah penduduk dan kemajuan teknologi serta informasi.LajuĀ  pertumbuhan ekonomi dan pertambahan penduduk sangat terkait dengan konsumsi energi yang terus meningkat. Manajemen energi di tanah air selama ini lebih memberikan prioritas pada penyediaan energi atau perluasan akses terhadap energi kepada masyarakat yang diwujudkan dalam peningkatan eksploitasi bahan bakar fosil atau pembangunan listrik pedesaan. Tujuan ini untuk mencari peluang-peluang untuk penghematan energi danĀ  penghematan biaya berdasarkan kondisi aktual di lapangan. Pada bangunan dengan luas 628 m2 audit energi dilakukan menggunakan alat ukur Power Q Plus MI2392 sebagai alat untuk mengukur energi listrik dan luxmeter sebagai alat untuk mengukur kuat cahaya. Hasil audit energi menunjukkan bahwa nilai IKE pada gedung Puskesmas Banda Sakti sebesar 3.453 kWH /tahun sedangkan kWH yang sesuai dengan rekomendasi oleh SNI 03-6196-2000 sudah berada di atas standar IKE, dimana untuk gedung rumah sakit 380 kWH/m2 per tahun.
