Abstract

Rank fusion meta-search engine algorithms can be used to merge web search results of multiple search engines. In this paper we introduce two variants of the Weighted Borda-Fuse algorithm. The first variant retrieves documents based on popularities of component engines. The second one is based on k user-defined toplist of component engines. In this research, experiments were performed on k={50,100,200} toplist with AND/OR combinations implemented on ‘UNIB Meta Fusion’ meta-search engine prototype which employed 3 out of 5 popular search engines. Both of our two algorithms outperformed other rank fusion algorithms (relevance score is upto 0.76 compare to Google that is 0.27, at P@10). The pseudo-relevance automatic judgement techniques involved are Reciprocal Rank, Borda Count, and Condorcet. The optimal setting was reached for queries with operator "AND" (degree 1) or "AND ... AND" (degree 2) with k=200. The ‘UNIB Meta Fusion’ meta-search engine system was built correctly.

Abstract

Computer network security is an important factor that must be considered. Guaranteed security can avoid losses caused by attacks on the network security system. The most common prevention against network attacks is to place an administrator, but problems will arise when the administrator is not supervising the network, so to overcome these problems a system called IDS (Intrusion Detection System) can detect suspicious activity on the network through automating the work functions of an administrator. Snort is one of the software that functions to find out the intrusion. Data packets that pass through network traffic will be analyzed. Data packets detected as intrusion will trigger alerts which are then stored in log files. Thus, administrators can find out intrusions that occur on computer networks, and the existence of instant messaging applications can help administrators to get realtime notifications, one of which is using the Telegram application. The results of this study are,  Snort able to detect intrusion of attacks on computer networks and the system can send alerts from snort to administrators via telegram bot in real-time.

Abstract

Advances in information technology in the banking sector have led banking institutions to continuously innovate and improve their services. One such service is the emergence of mobile-based banking applications. Bank Bengkulu has introduced a mobile-based banking application, but it has received poor ratings and negative feedback from its users. This study aims to evaluate user satisfaction with the Bengkulu mobile banking application using the End User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) method, then improve user satisfaction by redesigning the application using the Double Diamond method, and re-evaluate the results of the application redesign using the System Usability Scale (SUS) method and sentiment analysis using Natural Language Processing (NLP) with the IndoBERT model. The results show that user satisfaction with the Bengkulu mobile banking application was 2.77 when measured using the EUCS method. This measurement falls into the ‘adequate’ category but is very close to the ‘dissatisfied’ category. After the application redesign, user satisfaction improved, as indicated by the evaluation of users using the SUS method with a score of 87.975, which falls into the ‘excellent’ category. The results of qualitative user satisfaction measured using sentiment analysis methods show that there were 75 positive sentiments, 22 neutral sentiments, and only 3 negative comments. The results of the study show that there was a notable improvement in user satisfaction after the Bengkulu Bank application was redesigned.

Abstract

Abstract - Adaptive learning systems adapt instructional materials to students' needs through personalized learning paths, changing the layout interface, or hiding some material links. The System Usability Scale (SUS) focuses on developing a usability assessment for an adaptive education system, using an approach that asks users to evaluate web pages. This research was conducted with first-semester students in the Computer Programming subject from the Information Systems Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, University of Bengkulu. Based on the SUS calculation, the application achieved a score of 75.08. This result falls within the 68-80.3 range, placing the program product at the "Good" level. This indicates that overall user satisfaction with the adaptive online learning system is acceptable. However, there are some areas that require repairs, especially those related to inconsistent functionality and user convenience. Further study can continue to use Concurrent Think Aloud (CTA) and test scenarios for each use case to gain insight into user behavior as users interact with the application in the moment. Keywords: Evaluation; Online Learning Systems; Adaptive; System Usability Scale; Abstrak - Sistem pembelajaran daring adaptif menyesuaikan materi pembelajaran dengan kebutuhan siswa melalui jalur pembelajaran yang dipersonalisasi, mengubah tata letak antarmuka, atau menyembunyikan beberapa tautan.
