Abstract

The influence of wudu is so deep that wudu can cultivate positive perception and motivation, effective coping, positive emotional response, and can avoid stress reaction. Body part that is exposed to ablution water is an open body part, which is often encountered by bacteria and virus causing disease, that part must be cleaned to avoid various diseases .. For that, Hydroterapi education ablution on vocational education students is an integrated mental education program that serves as a key learning. This is a solution to improve learning success for children who choose vocational education as a means of aspiration towards the future. However, the devotion to the mental education program for vocational education students based on school health units is still very limited. Therefore, it takes a dedication that can produce technical applications. Location devotion is in SMKN 2 Pekanbaru. This devotion is motivated by mental readiness in low vocational student learning. One reason is that the students feel very anxious, and frightened when confronted with technical things outside of themselves. Solutions that can be done to reduce anxiety or stress in the face of learning is to perform ablution before the class begins.

Abstract

Background: The use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) devices is very broad, almost all human activities cannot be separated from technological devices, one example of which is the use of gadgets such as mobile phones, smartphones and tablets. Not many realize that using a gadget can pose a number of risks. Risks that can arise are De Quervain Syndrome. De Quervain Syndrome is a form of inflammation of the tendon membrane which is accompanied by pain at the base of the thumb extending to the lower arm, the presence of tendon swelling and causing and involving the narrow tendon movement (known as tenosynovitis) which is in synovial sheaths, that is covering the abductor pollicis longus and extensor pollicis brevis muscles. The purpose of this community service is to find out the impact of knowledge on the prevention of the risk of de quervain syndrome in gadget users at Muhammadiyah 2 Vocational School Pekanbaru-Riau. Methodology: this community service is in the form of lectures and discussions, examinations and measurements of early detection on the scale of pain with a VAS (Verbal Analog Scale) scale. Descriptive data analysis technique. Results and discussion: of community service activities were attended by students with a total of 54 people ranging in age from 15 to 17 years. In the number of students 54, the average value of pre-test and post-test, there is an increase in knowledge by 40%. Conclusion: There is an impact of increasing knowledge in students about the benefits of preventing the risk of de quervain syndrome in gadget users at Muhammadiyah 2 Vocational School Pekanbaru-Riau. Abstract

Dementia is a disorder that occurs in the brain so that patients experience memory disorientation. In the elderly who experience dementia, it is also possible to experience difficulty sleeping due to damage to the sleep wake cycle in the brain. This study was conducted to determine the effect of providing Brain Gym therapy and music therapy to improve sleep quality in the elderly with dementia. The measuring instrument used to determine the quality of elderly sleep is the Pittsburgh Sleep Qualty Index (PSQL). The research subject consisted of 1 patient with dementia who experienced sleep disturbances. The study was conducted for 9 times therapy (T1-T9) at the patient's home. After being given 9 times of therapy with the provision of Brain Gym and music therapy, the initial therapy results obtained a total score of 14 and the final therapy 4 with a total interpretation, if the value ≤5 = good sleep quality and if the value >5 = poor sleep quality. The results of this study indicate that the administration of Brain Gym and Music Therapy can improve sleep quality in the elderly who experience dementia.

Abstract

Elderly people are identified with various declining health conditions, especially physical health conditions. The health conditions of the elderly decline along with increasing age, which will affect the quality of life of the elderly. The worsening health condition of the elderly is contrary to the elderly's desire to remain healthy, independent, and able to carry out activities. Balance disorders are something that often occurs in the elderly. Balance is the basis of functional human movement for both children and the elderly. Weakened lower extremity muscle strength in the elderly can cause slow movement, short steps, feet not being able to move firmly enough and being more easily swayed so that balance becomes disturbed. Methods: This research is a pre-experimental research with a one-group pre-test & post-test design. The sample population is elderly people with balance disorders in Pekanbaru nursing homes. Collecting patient data using the Berg Balance Scale (BBS) pre-test and post-test. During the research period, the total sample was 22 respondents the sampling technique used was the cluster sampling technique, namely the selection of samples referring to groups with certain predetermined characteristics, namely those who met the inclusion criteria. Result: The results of the study showed an increase in balance before & after the intervention showing a significant change from the p value = 0.000 with a confidence level of 95%. Based on the Paired Sample T Test with a value of p = 0.000 < (0.05), it shows that there is an increase in balance in the elderly. Conclusion: It was concluded that the increase in balance before & after giving balance exercise and tandem stance showed an increase in balance in the elderly after being given with a frequency of 3 times a week for 1 month.
