Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of teacher career development at MAN 2 Model Medan. The research focuses on planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating teacher career development at MAN 2 Model Medan. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical study method. Obtaining data using observation techniques, interviews, and document studies. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using data reduction techniques, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or data verification. The results of this study indicate that the management of teacher career development at the MAN 2 Medan Model is carried out effectively. It can be viewed from the aspects; (1) planning for teacher career development in the form of motivation and application of a conducive organizational culture (climate); (2) organizing human resources (HR) for teachers in madrasah through leadership support, technical meetings, coordination between madrasah leaders and vice-principals involving supervisors to improve teacher qualifications; (3) the implementation of teacher career development is carried out based on promotion, transfer, and promotion; (4) evaluation of teacher career development is carried out based on online-based supervision and teacher performance assessment. This research hopes that it can be used as a reference for further research on the management of teacher career development in Islamic educational institutions. This research also has implications for teachers in Islamic educational institutions to accelerate careers as educators in madrasah.

Abstract

This paper aims to analyze personal ethics and time management on the study habits of students of the Islamic Religious Education Study Program (PAI), the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training (FTIK) of the Langsa State Islamic Institute (IAIN). This study uses a qualitative approach with phenomenological methods. The data collection was done by using interviews, observation, and documentation studies. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using data reduction techniques, narrative data presentation, conclusion drawing and data verification. The results of this study indicate that (1) students understand and practice learning ethics well in accordance with the ethical guidelines of students at IAIN Langsa, (2) students' time management in learning is divided into two, namely students who actively make daily activity schedule, plans and targets they want to achieve. achieved, while there are students who are in the inactive category in managing study time, and (3) the study habits of PAI FTIK IAIN Langsa students are classified into 2, namely 73% are active and enjoy learning alone and 27% are active and enjoy participating in group learning.

Abstract

School climate is “heart” and “breath” in a school. It relates to all interaction components among school members from culture, social until the harmonization of the learning environment which affects the output quality. This study discusses the school climate in increasing learning quality in MIN (State Islamic Primary School) 2 Sibolga. The scope of the study focused on how to produce a school climate and its role in improving learning quality in MIN 2 Sibolga. This study applied the qualitative approach and school activities as the object of the study, such as daily routine, programmed activities, and self-development activities. The result of the study showed that a “conducive” school climate was created well in MIN 2 Sibolga, it could be seen from (1) creating a conducive learning climate, (2) managing school environment, (3) developing school psychologic-cultural routines, and (4) improving “discipline” culture for school members. However, there were some obstacles, such as inadequate infrastructure, low teacher competence, less financing, less student development, and lack of training for the teachers.

Abstract

Madrasah internal policies are needed in implementing the curriculum as an effort to adapt to changes and community needs. This study aims to describe the implementation of curriculum implementation policies in state madrasah ibtidaiyah in Central Tapanuli Regency (MIN 3, 4, and 7). This study seeks to describe or describe data obtained from the field or literature related to PAI curriculum management in MIN 3, 4 and 7 Central Tapanuli Regency. The informants or resource persons are the head of the madrasa, the deputy head of the madrasa in the curriculum field, and the teacher of PAI subjects. The results of this study indicate that the overall implementation of the Islamic religious education curriculum in MIN Central Tapanuli Regency is well implemented. It is characterized by (1) planning aspects; includes analysis of the needs and conditions of local communities, analysis of the availability and readiness of resources in madrasas, analysis of supporting programs implemented in the agenda of the annual work meeting (2) implementation aspects; including optimizing the role of supervisors and monitoring the head of madrasah, implementing training to improve the competence and quality of teachers, as well as coordinating with teachers in madrasas in the weekly meeting agenda, (3) evaluation aspects; includes an assessment every year, in the form of program evaluations in the curriculum, planning learning tools, and evaluating students.

Abstract

Curriculum policy is an urgent matter that must be determined by the madrasa leadership every year. This is intended to upgrade components and learning activities in accordance with technological developments and community needs. This study aims to describe the implementation of curriculum policies at MAN Sibolga. The focus of this research discussion includes a study of the formulation, solutions, and steps for implementing curriculum policies at MAN Sibolga. This research method is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The data were obtained using observation, interview, and documentation techniques. Data analysis used data reduction techniques, data presentation, and verification, and was declared valid through triangulation techniques. The results of this study indicate that (1) The policy formulation process in developing the MAN Sibolga curriculum is in the form of carrying out deliberation activities or meetings. The meeting is in the form of deliberation or work meeting (work meeting), besides that seminars and discussions are held. In meetings and deliberation the head of madrasah held discussions to find formulations and solutions to determine a policy in building and directing MAN Sibolga; and (2) steps for implementing policies in curriculum implementation at MAN Sibolga by socializing to teachers and conducting training and guidance for teachers in understanding the curriculum so that it can be implemented properly.

Abstract

Quality is an absolute image that must be owned by every educational institution. In general, quality can be seen from the accreditation of educational institutions and academic services. Likewise, graduates are a reflection of the quality of educational institutions. One of the absolute factors to produce quality graduates is to support the development of teacher quality. This study aims to describe the policy model for developing the quality of MTs teachers in Central Tapanuli. The research approach is a qualitative type, with a descriptive study method. Data was collected using observation, interview, and document study techniques. Furthermore, data analysis uses data reduction techniques, data presentation, and data verification (to draw conclusions). Test the validity of research data using data triangulation techniques. The results of this study conclude that teachers have an important role in the progress of madrasas, the quality of teachers can be seen from the model of teacher quality development policies implemented in madrasas. The leadership of MTsN 1 and MTsN 2 in Central Tapanuli Regency implemented policies in the form of teacher quality improvement models according to needs, teacher quality development policies according to government policies, and instilling teacher discipline. Teachers are required to have high academic qualifications, and meet (four) competency standards, namely pedagogic, personality, social, and professional competencies. The teacher quality development policy at MTsN 1 and MTsN 2 Tapanuli Tengah has been implemented well, this can be seen from the ability of the madrasa principal to regulate all madrasa policies and programs so that the quality of education in Central Tapanuli can continue to improve.
