Abstract

Abstract

The schedule of a project is a very principal aspect in project management because it is arranged to achieve the time target of project completion and to avoid delays in the project. IAIN Ambon Auditorium Building Construction Project experienced delays in Sloof work, so it should be accelerated. By using crashing method, it can be seen how far the project duration can be accelerated with minimum additional costs. The Crashing Method determine which jobs are included in the critical path. It can be seen the crash cost of each activity on the critical path, the crash cost of each activity on the critical path, the normal total cost and the total cost after the program crash. From the data analysis result, a critical trajectory was obtained on the work of the SMK3K, Structural Work (Sloof), Work (Wall, Plasteran and Painting), Lighting and Installation Work, AC Work and Mechanical Ventilation, Fire Extinguisher Work (R. Pump Per. Main Fire Fighting, Fire Hydrant Fire Fighting) and Parking Jobs. Costs after acceleration are IDR 26,548,098,287.58 or decrease by 0.15% with an acceleration time of 126 days. The impact caused by the addition of 2 hours of overtime with a difference in costs of IDR 11,278,287.44 or an increase of 0.09% from the initial cost. When crashing the duration of the project is reduced by 9 days, which was originally 135 working days to 126 working days. Keywords: Project Scheduling, Critical Path, Crashing Program

Abstract

Risk management is an effort to manage risk in a comprehensive, planned and structured manner in a good system to prevent unexpected events. It allows management to improve results by identifying and analyzing the risk of work accidents that exist, namely the construction project of Masela Block Supporting Integrated Laboratory, Pattimura University. Each risk of the work phase must be assessed for professional risk management/control. The assessment method applied a risk assessment matrix sourced from NHS Highland which was adopted from AS/NZS 1360:2004 Risk Management. The secondary data obtained for this study consists of the company's organizational structure and project work items. Primary data obtained from observations in the field that is obtained by conducting interviews and distributing questionnaires. The data analysis carried out in this study was a variable test, namely Validity Test and Reliability Test. The next step was the application of risk assessment. The result of this study was that there were 4 risk factors, namely human resources, equipment and work materials, work methods, and working environment. The classification of the risk level from the 29 variables of occupational accident risk, there were two work risks that were included in the high-risk category and the other 27 risks were included in the medium risk category. Based on known risks, a strategy that can be carried out is obtained, namely risk control based on the classification of risk levels, namely Elimination, Substitution, Administration, and Personal Protective Equipment.

Abstract

The development project of the Masela Block Supporting Intergrated Laboratory, Pattimura University was intended to be the object of this research because it was based on the problems that occurred in the project, namely delays. Based on secondary data obtained from the project, the budget plan (RAB) and time schedule are used the duration and normal costs of the project. Then crashing program method and the fast-track method are applied to reduce the duration and find out the total cost needed so that the project can run properly as the planned target time and does not experience delays.  Crashing and fast-track methods are methods use to accelerate the execution time in contruction projects. Although these two methods can clearly reduce the application of these two methods on project implementation costs.  From the analysis result carried out on structural work that crosses the critical path, it is obvious that the crashing time method is reduced by 17% or 38 days and the resulting cost overrun is 0.02% or IDR 10,615,733.38, while for the fast-track method reduced work duration is around 18% or 41 days where the project cost is also reduced by 1.89% or IDR 774,757,772.32 from the normal duration which should be 225 days at a cos of IDR 62,257,321,000.00.

Abstract

The construction of the Waiheru Ambon Hajj Embarkment Transit Building was intended to be the object of this study because it was based on the background that occurred in the project, namely delays. Based on secondary data obtained from the project, the Budget Plan (RAB) and Time Schedule are used as project’s duration and normal costs of the project. Then the time cost trade off method is applied which aims to be able to reduce the duration and find out the total cost needed so that the project can reach the planned time target so as not to experience delays. Dimyati, H (2014) explained that there are two reasons why acceleration of construction of construction projects is carried out. First, because off the desire of the owner so that the project can be completed before the deadline for project completion. Second, because in the implementation of the project there is a delay in time or progress, the acceleration must be carried out. This is where the importance of a plan that must be prepared carefully so that cosis that will have an impact on acceleration the project can be controlled properly. Time acceleration in this project, using the Time Cost Trade Off  Method with the principle of increasing overtime working hours. After accelerating with the addition of 3 hours, it could save time by 0.11% where the project cost is reduced by around 0.003%. Meanwhile, the addition of 2 hours could save time by 0.10% where the project cost is also reduced by around 0.003%. While the optimal duration and optimal costs were known in the alternative addition of 3 hours of overtime obtained 94 working days at a cost of IDR 27,388,709,338.20. Meanwhile, in addition to 2 hours of overtime, 95 working days were obtained at a cost of IDR 27,388,026,130.23.
