Abstract

Dayun is one of the villages in the Siak Regency. Every year, the thread of fire and haze disaster always occurs and causes economic losses and health impairment of the villagers. This Community service was in partnership with the Regional Disaster Management Agency of Siak Regency. Through the integrated Community service program for the student of Abdurrab University, collaborating with the Lecturer’s Community Service program, the students from various majors are taking action to the community service in Dayun Village. The activities were to transfer the knowledge to the community and designing an early detection system. During the program, the students were creating media designs such as videos and pamphlets. Some Informatics students were developing a web-based application for early detection. The results were presented at the Regional Disaster Management Agency of Siak Regency and acquired positive responses from the participants.

Abstract

Coronavirus (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a new version of the coronavirus that was discovered at the end of 2019. Most of the disorders experienced by individuals infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience respiratory disease and most of them recover without requiring special treatment. Indonesia is currently hit by the Covid-19 pandemic. Various policies in prevention efforts have been carried out by the government, which have an impact many aspects of society. In Pekanbaru specially needs a lot of information related to Covid 19. Through Community Service in Simpang Tiga Village, Bukit Raya District, they can provide aid of information or other social aid which is a synergy of students and academics during the Covid 19 Pandemic, of course by following health protocol procedures. The results of this service are expected to assist the government and society as an effort to break the chain of spreading covid-19.

Abstract

This community service was carried out at the inclusive school X in Pekanbaru involving all Children with Special Needs. Children with Special Needs or commonly called ABK is a term for children who have physical, mental, social, or emotional conditions that are different from children in general. The use of the "Smart Learning" method which is optimized for children with special needs in inclusive schools is urgently needed to facilitate learning. This service involves collaboration between research teams, inclusive teachers, and principal to design, develop, and test the effectiveness of adaptive learning models that use information and communication technology (ICT). This "Smart Learning" method is specifically adapted to facilitate an inclusive learning process, taking into account the learning needs and preferences of each student. The method is carried out with the stages of observation, implementation and evaluation by presenting pre and post test surveys to find out the effectiveness of learning. The results of the post test show that the application of "Smart Learning" to children with special needs in inclusive schools can increase their active participation, motivate and increase their academic achievement
