Abstract

This research aims to describe the application of the inquiry learning model to learning to write negotiation texts in high school. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with qualitative data. The research data sources are divided into primary data and secondary data. The data collection techniques in this research are observation, interview, and documentation. The research data validity test uses the credibility test by triangulation. The data analysis technique of this research involves processing and preparing data, reading the entire data, starting data coding, applying the coding process to describe the things that are analyzed, showing descriptions and themes in qualitative narratives or reports, and interpreting the data. The results of this study show that the application of the inquiry learning model in learning to write negotiation texts includes planning, implementation, and assessment stages. The planning stage is related to the preparation of teaching modules. The implementation stage includes introduction, core, and closing activities. The assessment stage includes cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects.

Abstract

This study was used a qualitative-descriptive approach to purposely figuring the application of assesment in the performance of writing persuasive text for VIII grade of SMP Negeri 16 Jambi City in 2022/2023 Academic Year. The students and the teacher in class VIII become the subjects of this study during the class. Data collection techniques were carried out by interviews, observations, and also documentation of the subjects and objects of the research. The data used in this research is the application of performance assesment in writing persuasive text for VIII grade of SMP Negeri 16 Jambi City. The result of this study shows that the application of performance assesment in writing persuasive text was applied well according to assesment standard of Curiculum 2013, with the RPP, indicators, and the given tasks to students are mutually sustainable. The application of this performance assesment was met the obstacles caused by the internal factors, such as limited study time and motivation lacks students to studying.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation of a contextual approach in learning to write persuasive texts in class VIII B of SMP Negeri 11 Jambi City. Learning Indonesian cannot be separated from the approach methods in delivering the material. One approach used is a contextual approach. The purpose of this research was to find out how to implement contextual application in Indonesian language learning of persuasive text material for class VIII B students at SMP Negeri 11 Jambi City. This type of research is descriptive qualitative, data collection in this research was carried out by observing teachers, students and classes, interviews and documentation. The subject of this research is the Indonesian language study teacher in class VIII B of SMP Negeri 11 Jambi City. The implementation of the contextual approach was carried out ideally and this has been proven by the researchers' interviews with teachers, students and monitoring carried out during the teaching and learning process and the supporting factors were the enthusiasm of the students in participating in the learning, as well as adequate facilities and infrastructure. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the application of a contextual approach to learning to write persuasive texts for class VIII B students at SMP Negeri 11 Jambi City has been implemented quite well.
