Abstract

Non-timber forest products are a wealth of natural resources that provide many benefits for the needs of the community around the forest. This study aims to determine the potential and utilization of bamboo in Leu Village in Bolo District, Bima Regency. The usefulness of this research is expected to be an information material for efforts to empower and utilize bamboo optimally and alternatively for the community. This research was conducted in March-April 2018 in Leu Village, Bolo District, Bima Regency. The data collected in this study consists of primary data and secondary data. Primary data is obtained by observing and recording in the field, as well as interviewing the community / respondents who use bamboo plants. Secondary data is collected through library studies sourced from books, journals, and data from relevant agencies. Leu village has the potential of rope bamboo stands (Gigantochloa apus) in Leu Village, Bolo District, Bima Regency, which is relatively low at 3843 stems per ha, with 61 clumps of clumps with an average of 63 clumps. The average bamboo harvested per year is still relatively small at 11.25% of the potential of old bamboo. The form of utilization of bamboo by farmers in addition to being sold is generally used as building materials, handicrafts, and as fences.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat efektifitas dan efisiensi mesin dalam proses produksi plywood di PT. Panply. Pengumpulan data primer diperoleh melalui observasi tentang aliran produksi atau alur kerja mesin dalam proses produksi dan wawancara langsung pada karyawan terkait proses produksi sedangkan data sekunder diperoleh melalui studi pustaka dari berbagai sumber terkait dari hasil penelitian sebelumnya. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan metode analisis data deskriptif berupa tabel dan grafik perhitungan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai efektivitas penggunaan mesin di PT. Panply telah mencapai nilai efektifitas terbaik sebesar 87,5% pada beberapa tahap produksi kayu lapis termasuk Rotary, Continues, Dryer, Glue Spreader, Cold Press, Hot press, dan Sander. Tahap Pemotongan log dan Sizer masing-masing sebesar 62,5% dan 78,75%. Sedangkan nilai efisiensi di PT.Panply berkisar antara 55% - 91%. Tahap yang paling efisien dalam proses produksi adalah tahap Glue Spreader sebesar 91% dan efisiensi terendah yaitu tahap Rotary dan Sander masing-masing 56,08% dan 68,28%

Abstract

The biogeophysical characteristics of watersheds have an important role as a determinant of the river discharge amount in the watershed. Various watershed problems such as flood and drought related to river discharge require data and information. The importance of this data and information will determine a better watershed management plan. The issue of flooding and drought are the important issues in Ralla subwatershed, Souht Sulawesi Province. This study aims to describe the biogeophysical characteristics and the discharge of Lompo Riaja Atas and Lompo Riaja Bawah Rivers in Ralla subwatershed, Lisu Watershed. This research was conducted in from November 2016 to August 2017. Primary data collection was done through river discharge and precipitation measurements during 34 days of observation. Secondary data obtained from government or related agencies such as geological data obtained from Geological map of the Ujung Pandang sheet 1982, the slope data from Aster DEM, land type from RePPProt 1987, land cover data from google earth image 2015. A quantitative descriptive method was used to analyze the data obtained. The results showed that the Lompo Riaja Atas and Lompo Riaja Bawah rivers have relatively similar discharge fluctuation, although they have a different amount of discharge. River discharge of both rivers is more influenced by rainfall compared to biogeophysical conditions such as geology, topography, soil type, watershed area, watershed shape, river length and order, gradient, flow pattern, flow density,and land cover.
