Abstract

This research aims to examine Self-Empowerment: Between Work Motivation, Time Management, and Responsibilities as a Student. The respondents in this study consisted of 11 university students who work part-time in Yogyakarta. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, with criteria requiring respondents to be part-time students who have been working for at least three months. Data collection was conducted through interviews with respondents selected based on their relevance to the research objectives. The challenges faced by part-time student workers include time management, as they must balance dual roles as both students and employees. In addition, part-time student workers often experience stress due to workload or the dual roles they must perform. The findings of this study reveal that the participants generally have a positive self-evaluation regarding their performance, demonstrate a strong commitment to continuous growth, and successfully apply adaptive time management strategies and stress management techniques to cope with their dual responsibilities. It is recommended that companies provide adequate rest time and fair, transparent incentives for part-time workers. Future research is suggested to employ quantitative methods to measure the extent of the influence of work motivation, time management, and work stress variables on employee performance.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh program pelatihan, disiplin kerja, dan misi valensi terhadap kinerja Aparatur Sipil Negara (ASN) di Kabupaten Purbalingga. Permasalahan yang diangkat dalam penelitian ini didasarkan pada kondisi ASN yang dinilai belum optimal dalam menjalankan tugas, disebabkan oleh lemahnya implementasi pelatihan, kurangnya disiplin kerja, serta rendahnya kesadaran terhadap nilai misi organisasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada 120 ASN di lingkungan Pemerintah Kabupaten Purbalingga. Data dianalisis dengan teknik regresi linier berganda menggunakan perangkat lunak SPSS versi 25. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketiga variabel independen, yaitu program pelatihan, disiplin kerja, dan misi valensi, memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja ASN, baik secara parsial maupun simultan. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa peningkatan kualitas pelatihan, penerapan disiplin yang konsisten, serta penanaman nilai-nilai misi organisasi mampu mendorong peningkatan kinerja ASN. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi praktis bagi pengambil kebijakan dalam merancang program peningkatan kapasitas ASN berupa Meningkatkan Efektivitas Program Pelatihan ASN dan Memperkuat Budaya Disiplin Kerja di Lingkungan ASN serta menjadi referensi teoretis bagi penelitian selanjutnya.

Abstract

The The development of digital technology has driven changes in organizational work patterns through the implementation of remote working, particularly among millennial employees who prioritize flexibility and work–life balance. However, empirical findings regarding the impact of remote working on employee productivity and work–life balance remain inconsistent. Therefore, this study aims to examine the effect of remote working on employee productivity and work–life balance with employee engagement as a mediating variable among millennial employees in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. This study employs a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data were collected through an online questionnaire utilizing a five-point Likert scale and analyzed using statistical analysis techniques. The respondents consist of millennial employees who implement a remote working system in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. The results indicate that remote working has a positive effect on employee engagement. Furthermore, employee engagement positively influences employee productivity and work–life balance and serves as a mediating variable that strengthens the relationship between remote working and both outcomes. These findings suggest that the effectiveness of remote working largely depends on the level of employee engagement
