Abstract

ABSTRACT Mangosteen is one of the types of plants that have a high economic value and become a commudity export market internationally. This is because the mangosteen has many beneficial uses. Mangosteen is one of tropical forest trees that have the correct length of the cycle and have a less good rooting systems making it difficult to grow naturally. So, the mangosteen seeds procurement needs to be done quickly and in an excellent quality to support the productivity of the mangosteen. One of the ways that can be done is with the technique of tissue culture. The research aimed to get the concentration of yeast, corn seed extract as well as the combination of yeast and corn seed extract which is optimum for budding multiplication mangosteen and the mangosteen shoots long added. The research was carried out using the basic method of complate random design arranged in a factorial with two factors, namely the yeast with 5 degrees of treatment (control, R1=7%, R2=8%, R3=9%, R4=10%) and corn seed extract with 5 treatment levels (control, J1=7%, J2=8%, J3=9%, J4=10%)  so there are 25 treatment with 3 replicates and earned 75 units of the experiment. The results showed the best yeast concentration in the yeast is added the number of shoots with a concentration of 9% while the increase in the concentration of the best corn number of shoots was with a concentration of 8%. To increase the length of the shoots of the mangosteen, the best yeast concentration is 8%, while the best corn seed extract is concentration on 0%. The best combination between the yeast and corn seed extract in the amount of the increase of the mangosteen is R3J2 and shoots to high value added mangosteen shoots, a combination of yeast and corn seed extract is best R2J0. Abstract

The green turtle is one of the most intensively exploited members of the turtle family. The purpose of this study was to describe the egg-laying behavior of green turtles (Chelonia mydas) on Belacan Beach Sebubus Village Paloh District Sambas Regency. Research using direct observation method with observation technique is done by noting all behavior seen at each time and its description. Research shows that all types of turtles have almost the same stages of laying eggs, namely emerging to the sea surface and choosing a location to lay eggs, digging holes, laying eggs, closing the nest and closing the hole and disguise the distance. Factors that influence the presence of green turtles going up to the mainland to lay eggs are the tides of sea water, the slope of the coast and the presence or absence of vegetation that can be used as a shelter for their nest.Keywords: Belacan beach, Turtle, Turtle behaviorAbstrakPenyu hijau adalah salah satu anggota keluarga penyu yang paling dieksploitasi secara intensif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan perilaku bertelur penyu hijau (Chelonia mydas) di Pantai Belacan Desa Sebubus Kecamatan Paloh Kabupaten Sambas. Penelitian menggunakan metode observasi langsung dengan teknik observasi yang dilakukan dengan mencatat semua tingkah laku yang dilihat pada setiap waktu dan uraiannya. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semua jenis penyu mempunyai tahapan bertelur yang hampir sama, yaitu muncul ke permukaan laut dan memilih lokasi bertelur, menggali lubang, bertelur, menutup sarang dan menutup lubang serta menyamarkan jarak. Faktor yang mempengaruhi keberadaan penyu hijau naik ke daratan untuk bertelur adalah pasang surut air laut, kemiringan pantai dan ada tidaknya vegetasi yang dapat dijadikan tempat berlindung sarangnya.Kata kunci: Pantai Belacan, Penyu, Tingkah laku penyu

Abstract

Scylla spp is a fishery commodity that has the potential to support community life, especially for small-scale fishermen. The mangrove ecosystem has an important role as the main habitat for mangrove crabs (Scylla Spp). The mangrove ecosystem (mangrove) is an ecosystem located in coastal areas that is influenced by sea tides so that the floor is always flooded with water. The aim of research on the diversity of mangrove crabs (Scylla spp) in the mangrove ecosystem is to record and describe the types of mangrove crabs (Scylla spp) in the mangrove vegetation and surrounding areas in the mangrove forests of Keramat Jaya Village, Kendawangan District, Ketapang Regency. Data was collected from various sources including the types, numbers and populations of mud crabs found at the research location. The data taken is primary data and secondary data. The data obtained was then analyzed, namely the species diversity index (H'), number of individuals (ni), total number of individuals (n), species abundance (N) and analysis of habitat conditions. The research results obtained 3 species from 3 locations with a total of 30 individuals. The value of the species diversity index H'=1,0692, the value of the number of individuals ni=0,33, the value of the total number of individuals n=1,108 and the value of species abundance N=0,3564. Scylla olivacea has the highest number of individuals, namely 11 individuals, while the lowest number of individuals is Scylla serrata, 9 individuals.Keywords: Ecotourism, Kendawangan, Mangrove, Scylla sppAbstrakKepiting bakau merupakan salah satu komoditas perikanan yang memiliki potensi sebagai penyangga kehidupan masyarakat terutama bagi nelayan sekala kecil. Ekosistem mangrove mempunyai peran penting sebagai habitat utama bagi kepiting bakau (Scylla Spp). Ekosistem mangrove (bakau) adalah ekosistem yang berada di daerah tepi pantai yang dipengaruhi oleh pasang surut air laut sehingga lantainya selalu tergenang air. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendata dan mendeskripsikan jenis kepiting bakau (Scylla spp) pada vegetasi bakau dan sekitarnya di hutan mangrove Desa Keramat Jaya Kecamatan Kendawangan Kabupaten Ketapang. Pengumpulan data di lakukan dari berbagai sumber yang meliputi jenis-jenis, jumlah dan populasi kepiting bakau yang ditemukan di lokasi penelitian. Data yang diambil berupa data primer dan data sekunder yang kemudian dianalisis, yaitu Indeks keanekaragaman jenis (H"™), Jumlah individu (ni), Jumlah total individu (n), Kelimpahan jenis (N) dan analisis kondisi habitat. Hasil penelitian diperoleh 3 jenis dari 3 lokasi dengan jumlah individu 30 ekor. Nilai indeks keanekaragaman jenis (H"™)=1,0692, nilai jumlah individu (ni)=0,33, nilai jumlah total individu (n)=1.108 dan nilai kelimpahan jenis (N)=0,3564. S. olivacea memiliki jumlah individu tertinggi yaitu 11 ekor sedangkan jumlah individu paling sedikit yaitu S. serrata 9 ekor.Kata kunci: Ekowisata, Kendawangan, Kepiting Bakau, Mangrove

Abstract

Local wisdom is a tradition that has been passed down from generation to generation by the community from generation to generation until now in a traditional organization called periau. Local wisdom is carried out by the people of Dusun Batu Rawan to preserve the nesting places of forest bees (Apis dorsata) in the Sentarum Lake Forest Area. This study aims to explain the form of community local wisdom in preserving nesting sites with tikung techniques, efforts to preserve nesting sites and efforts to conserve forest bee feed (Apis dorsata) by the people of Dusun Batu Rawan in the Danau Sentarum Forest Area, Selimbau District, Kapuas Hulu Regency, West Kalimantan Province. This study used a survey method with interview techniques to 20 respondents from Periau Semangit and 15 honey farmers in Batu Rawan Hamlet. The results show that the form of local wisdom practiced by the people of Dusun Batu Rawan, Nanga Leboyan Village, still maintains customs, ancestral values, prohibitions, harvest systems, sanctions for violations and tree ownership. Preservation of the type of feed is carried out by planting putat (Barringtonia actutangula) trees along the lake, not mining without a permit, not burning and cutting trees in the Sentarum Lake Forest Area. Preservation of nesting trees is carried out by guarding forage trees, not burning forests, involving APDS and traditional institutions.Keyword: Forest Honey Bees, Local Wisdom, Tikung TechniquesAbstrakKearifan lokal dalam melestarikan tempat bersarang lebah madu hutan merupakan tradisi yang diturunkan secara turun temurun oleh masyarakat hingga sekarang dalam suatu organisasi adat yang disebut periau. Kearifan lokal dilakukan oleh masyarakat Dusun Batu Rawan untuk melestarikan tempat bersarang lebah madu hutan (Apis dorsata) di Kawasan Hutan Danau Sentarum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan bentuk kearifan lokal masyarakat dalam melestarikan tempat bersarang dengan teknik tikung dan upaya pelestarian tempat bersarang dan upaya pelestarian pakan lebah hutan (A.dorsata) oleh masyarakat Dusun Batu Rawan di Kawasan Hutan Danau Sentarum, Kecamatan Selimbau, Kabupaten Kapuas Hulu, Provinsi Kalimantan Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei dengan teknik wawancara kepada 20 responden dari Periau Semangit dan 15 petani madu di Dusun Batu Rawan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bentuk kearifan lokal yang dilakukan masyarakat Dusun Batu Rawan Desa Nanga Leboyan masih mempertahankan adat istiadat, nilai-nilai leluhur, larangan, sistem panen, sanksi pelanggaran dan kepemilikan pohon. Pelestarian jenis pakan bagi lebah madu hutan dilakukan dengan menanam pohon putat (Barringtonia actutangula) di sepanjang danau, tidak melakukan penambangan tanpa izin, tidak membakar dan menebang pohon di Kawasan Hutan Danau Sentarum. Pelestarian pohon bersarang dilakukan dengan menjaga pohon, tidak membakar hutan, melibatkan APDS dan lembaga adat dalam upaya pelestarian Kawasan Hutan Danau Sentarum.Kata Kunci: Lebah Madu Hutan, Kearifan Lokal, Teknik Tikung
