Abstract

The social and emotional development of young children is affected by many stimulating factors, and one of those factors is early childhood education. However, not all pre-school children have the opportunity to attend early childhood education. This study was aimed at comparing children social and emotional development of those who attend and do not attend early childhood education. This comparative study was carried out using a cross-sectional approach among 72 participants divided into 2 groups: 36 participants who attend early childhood education and 36 participants who do not attend early childhood education. Accidental sampling technique was applied to select samples, Non-parametric statistical test employed was the Mann Whitney test. The comparison value of children attending and not attending early childhood education was P-value 0.000; the emotional comparison value was P-value 0.040. It means there were differences in social and emotional development between children who attend early childhood education and those who do not attend early childhood education. It can be concluded that early childhood education can help stimulate the development of children. Parents should pay more attention to their children social and emotional development, whereas if parents cannot be the medium to support children’s social and emotional development, they should engage their children in early childhood education.

Abstract

Gadgets are used by all people including preschool children. The use of gadgets in pre-school increase every year and can make the child social behaviour is impaired because addicted to gadget duration play more than 1 hour. This study aims to see the long relationship between the use of gadgets and the social behaviour of pre-school children. This type of research is quantitative using a description of correlation design with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used was consecutive sampling with a sample of 76 respondents. The data collection tool used is a questionnaire. The results of this study indicate that as many as 46.1% of children use gadgets more than 1 hour every day and 27.6% of children have bad socialization behaviour. Chi-square correlation test results obtained  = 0.003 (p <0.05), which means that there is a significant relationship between the duration of the use of gadgets and the social behaviour of pre-school children in TK Negeri Pembina 3 Pekanbaru. The results of this study are expected to provide knowledge to parents who have pre-school children to limit children in using gadgets.

Abstract

Mukositis oral merupakan efek samping  yang paling sering dialami anak yang menjalani kemoterapi. Mukositis menyebabkan gangguan fisiologis dan fungsional yang menurunkan kualitas hidup anak kanker.  Mengunyah permen karet merupakan salah satu intervensi non farmakologis yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengatasi mukositis oral. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah melihat efektivitas mengunyah permen karet dalam menurunkan derajat mukositis oral. Penelitian ini melibatkan 40 orang pasien anak yang terbagi dalam dua kelompok yaitu kelompok intervensi dan kelompok kontrol Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan mengunyah permen karet lebih efektif dibandingkan berkumur larutan chlorhexidine (p= 0,008). Mengunyah permen karet dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu protokol perawatan mulut pada anak yang mendapatkan kemoterapi.

Abstract

Chemotherapy is a cancer treatment that is most widely used in children and can lead to fatigue. The prolonged and improperly treated fatigue can lead to decreased quality of life of the children. The objective of this study is to analyze factors associated with fatigue in children undergoing chemotherapy. The study design is cross-sectional. The sample in this study are 101 children aged 8-18 years who were undergoing chemotherapy in three public hospital in Jakarta. Sampling techniques were used consecutive sampling. The study shown significant relationships among levels of hemoglobin (p= 0,021), pain (p= < 0,001), sleep quality (p=0,046), and depression (p= <0,001) with fatigue in children undergoing chemotherapy. The multivariate analysis shows that there are three factors that most contribute to fatigue that are hemoglobin levels, pain, and depression. Abstract

Abstract A healthy older adult life cannot be achieved alone by the older adult , but also requires the involvement of family members. Achieving optimal quality of life in the older adult must be supported by psychosocial care. Family members help the older adult meet their needs in achieving optimal quality of life. The purpose of this research is to help to provide an overview of family knowledge, attitudes and skills in caring for the psychosocial older adult . In this case the psychosocial function is memory, intellectual function, orientation of time and place. The sample in this study amounted to 30 families with a purposive sampling method. Data collection using the instrument in the form of a questionnaire and using the method of interviews and direct observation of families who have older adult family members. The results of the study revealed that the level of knowledge and skills was largely low, and family attitudes in caring for the older adult were high. This shows that families with the older adult still need an increase in knowledge about the care of psychotic functions, and an increase in knowledge will also have an impact on improving attitudes and skills in caring for the older adult by family members. This research can be a reference to determine the form of activities that support the improvement of psychosocial functions of the older adult .

Abstract

Perilaku agresif ialah perbuatan untuk menyakiti orang lain. Perilaku agresif dapat timbul pada semua usia dan salah satunya ialah remaja. Pola asuh orang tua merupakan salah satu penyebab terjadinya perilaku agresif pada remaja. Cara pola asuh yang diterapkan oleh orang tua dapat memberikan gambaran tingkah laku yang dapat menjadi panutan dan contoh oleh remaja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan persepsi pola asuh orang tua terhadap perilaku agresif pada remaja. Jenis penelitian ialah kuantitatif dengan menggunakan desain Cross sectional. Populasi pada penelitian ialah siswa dan siswi kelas X dan XI, sampel 168 orang, dipilih menggunakan Cluster sampling. Alat ukur berupa kuesioner. Data diperoleh dari analisis univariat dan bivariat dengan uji Chi square. Hasil penelitian P value <0,001, yang artinya terdapat hubungan antara persepsi pola asuh orang tua terhadap perilaku agresif pada remaja. Diharapkan pihak sekolah bisa memantau perilaku siswa dan siswi di sekolah, menerapkan pola asuh yang tegas dan konsisten supaya dapat mengatasi masalah perilaku pada remaja.

Abstract

Talasemia merupakan salah satu penyakit kronis yang banyak dialami oleh anak, anak dengan talasemia akan menjalani pengobatan dalam waktu yang lama dan dapat memengaruhi kualitas hidupnya. Berbagai faktor memengaruhi pada kualitas hidup anak talasemia salah satunya yaitu dukungan keluarga. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan dukungan keluarga terhadap kualitas hidup anak dengan talasemia. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi kuantitatif dengan desian deskriptif korelasi dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini adalah 84 orang yaitu 42 anak usia 5-17 tahun dan 42 orang keluarga yang diambil menggunakan teknik total sampling. Pengambilan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner, yaitu kuesioner dukungan keluarga dan PedsQL untuk kuesioner kualitas hidup. Data di analisis secara univariat dan bivariat. Uji univariat menggunakan distribusi frekuensi, sedangkan uji bivariat menggunakan uji Kolmogorov- Smirnov. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan usia anak mayoritas 6-12 tahun berjumlah 28 orang (66,7%), sebagian besar berjenis kelamin laki-laki berjumlah 25 orang (59,%), tingkat pendidikan anak mayoritas SD berjumlah 29 orang (69.5%) dan mayoritas terdiagnosa kategori lama berjumlah 28 orang (66.7%). Hasil uji korelasi didapatkan p value = 0,543 ( > 0,05) yang berarti tidak terdapat hubungan antara dukungan keluarga terhadap kualitas hidup anak dengan talasemia. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak hanya dukungan keluarga yang dapat memengaruhi kualitas hidup anak dengan talasemia terdapat beberapa faktor lainnya. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan agar meningkatkan kualitas hidup anak dengan memberikan pendidikan kesehatan pada orang tua dan anak

Abstract

Disease is an abnormal condition in the body that causes body misalignment. There are various types of diseases that threaten humans, both parents and children. This disease can be caused by germs, bacteria, viruses, toxins, organ failure to function, and also by inherited/hereditary diseases. The difficulty of parents to find out the disease suffered by their children is one of the problems of parents today. So, we need a system to help with this predicament. The purpose of making this application is to provide information quickly and accurately in solving problems to help consult about diseases in toddlers aged 0-5 years. In addition, to find out ways to make programs that are expert systems using programming languages for artificial intelligence applications, namely PHP and Mysql, the certainty factor method is applied in web form. Using the certainty factor method is a decision-making strategy that starts from the section premise to conclusion. The result of system implementation is that the user chooses from the symptoms that already exist in the system based on the existing symptoms then processed, from the process the system provides information on diseases in children suffered by toddlers. From the results of testing this expert system has been able to diagnose diseases in children. After the diagnosis, the types of diseases and solutions will appear. Diagnosing disease in children by using this certainty factor is expected to make it easier to diagnose disease in children

Abstract

Gadget merupakan perangkat media yang memiliki beragam fungsi dan kegunaaan, penggunaan gadget memiliki pengaruh yang negatif. Gadget bisa memengaruhi perilaku pada anak-anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara durasi penggunaaan gadget terhadap masalah perkembangan perilaku emosional anak usia pra sekolah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain cross sectional. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik total sampling dengan menggunakan kuesioner tentang perilaku emosional anak diperoleh hasil uji validitas kuesioner pada rentang nilai r hasil 0,451 – 0,619 yang diuji pada 20 orang dengan nilai reliabilitas 0,9, sampel penelitian ini adalah anak usia pra sekolah di TK Dayyiinah Kids 1 yang berjumlah 75 orang. Hasil analisis data univariat pada data numerik disajikan dalam bentuk nilai mean diperoleh rata-rata usia anak adalah 4 tahun. Data kategorik dalam bentuk distribusi frekuensi persentase (%) diperoleh mayoritas anak perempuan (53.3%), profesi orang tua adalah sebagai ibu rumah tangga (44%) dan pendidikan orang tua lulusan perguruan tinggi (50.67%). Penggunaan gadget lebih 1 jam sebanyak 56% anak dan anak yang mengalami gangguan perilaku emosional sebanyak 69%. Hasil analisa data bivariat menggunakan uji chi square diperoleh nilai p= 0,038 ( < α 0.05), yang artinya terdapat hubungan antara durasi penggunaan gadget terhadap masalah perkembangan perilaku emosional anak usia pra sekolah.
