Abstract

Preparing children before entering elementary school needs to be done. One way that can bedone is to provide education before elementary school. This education can be provided in PAUD.Preparation of children entering elementary school, one of which is children can understandlanguage. Children who have the ability to understand language will be able to interact with theirenvironment. From the results of research conducted at 005 Public Elementary School BukitRanah, Kampar District, Kampar District, it is known that two indicators are still in the category ofdeveloping (MB), namely Understanding the rules in a game and Happy and appreciating readingand two categories included in the category of developing according to expectations (BSH )Understand several commands simultaneously and repeat more complex sentences. Mempersiapkan anak sebelum memasuki sekolah dasar perlu untuk dilakukan. Salah satu carayang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan memberikan pendidikan sebelum sekolah dasar. Pendidikantersebut dapat diberikan di PAUD. Persiapan anak memasuki sekolah dasar salah satunyaadalah anak dapat memahami bahasa. Anak yang memiliki kemampuan memahami bahasaakan dapat beriteraksi dengan lingkungannya. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan di SekolahDasar Negeri 005 Bukit Ranah Kecamatan Kampar Kabupaten Kampar diketahui dua indikatormasih masuk dalam kategori mulai berkembang (MB) yaitu Memahami aturan dalam suatupermainan dan Senang dan menghargai bacaan serta dua kategori termasuk dalam kategoriberkembang sesuai harapan (BSH) Mengerti beberapa perintah secara bersamaan danMengulang kalimat yang lebih kompleks.

Abstract

Global conditions due to COVID 19 change things in life, including the way of learning which was initially carried out using face-to-face changes using online or online methods. This change also occurred in learning Malay Arabic Writing. In the Arabic Malay Writing course, online learning is something new. The purpose of this study was to determine the learning motivation of students in the online Malay Arabic Writing course. This research uses a descriptive quantitative method with a large sample of forty students. From the results of the study, it can be seen that the device that is widely used for online learning is android, the experience of learning Malay Arabic writing is generally at the elementary school level, the device used with the motivation to learn Malay Arabic writing online has no significant relationship, and the learning experience with the motivation to learn writing in Arabic Arab Malay online does not have a significant relationship.Kondisi global akibat akibat COVID 19 mengubah hal kehidupan termasuk dalam cara belajar yang pada awalnya dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan tatap muka berubah menggunakan cara online atau daring. Perubahan ini juga terjadi pada pembelajaran Tulisan Arab Melayu. Pada mata kuliah Tulisan Arab Melayu pembelajaran online merupakan hal yang baru. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui motivasi belajar Peserta Didik pada matakuliah Tulisan Arab Melayu online. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan banyak sampel sebanyak empat puluh orang Peserta Didik. Dari hasil penelitian dapat diketahui perangkat yang banyak digunakan untuk belajar online adalah android, pengalaman belajar tulisan arab melayu pada umumnya pada jenjang sekolah dasar, perangkat yang digunakan dengan motivasi belajar tulisan arab melayu online tidak memiliki hubungan yang signifikan, dan pengalaman belajar dengan motivasi belajar tulisan arab melayu online tidak memiliki hubungan yang signifikan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk dan fungsi pantun atui yang ada dalam masyarakat Kampar-Riau Indonesia. Pantun atui merupakan warisan budaya masyarakat Kampar Riau yang sudah terancam punah seiring dengan perubahan zaman. Tujuan utama dalam penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan bentuk dari pantun atui yang dilihat dari segi tipografi, rima, asonansi, aliterasi, diksi, imaji, gaya bahasa serta fungsi atau penggunaan pantun atui dalam kehidupan masyarakat Kampar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan strategi analisis dokumen dan fenomenologi. Melalui strategi analisis dokumen penelitian ini menganalisis teks pantun atui dari segi bentuk pantun atui dari segi tipografi, rima, asonansi, dan alterasi). Melalui strategi fenomenologi penelitian ini menganalisis penggunaan atau fungsi pantun atui masyarakat Kampar Riau. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pantun atui memiliki keindahan bentuk dan unik yang dapat ditinjau dari tipografi yaitu berdasarkan jumlah baris, rima atau persajakan, asonansi, aliterasi, diksi, imaji dan gaya bahasa. Berdasarkan fungsinya pantui atui sebagai alat ekspresi diri dan sekaligus menjadi sarana edukatif dalam memberika nasihat terutama yang berhubungan dengan ajaran Islam. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan baru dalam kajian pantun dan pantun Melayu Klasik serta pelestarian warisan budaya takbenda yang berupa pantun sehingga bisa menjadi tetap lestari.

Abstract

This Community Service Activity was carried out at SDN 192 Pekanbaru with the title Training on Reading Metacognition Strategies to Strengthen Reading Comprehension of Grade V Students of SDN 192 Pekanbaru City. The activity was carried out using qualitative research using observational data collection and interviews. This activity used a contextual approach in the form of training and exercises. The purpose of the training was to improve teachers' and students' knowledge and understanding of reading metacognition strategies in reading comprehension. The teacher training activity was carried out on February 14, 2026 and February 21, 2026, reading metacognition training for grade V students of SDN 192 Pekanbaru. The results of the training: (1) Strengthened understanding of reading metacognition strategies by teachers which include prediction, questioning, clarifying, summarizing, and monitoring or checking strategies; (2) Strengthened students' understanding of reading metacognition strategies applied in the reading comprehension process. Based on final observations and interviews, the training was very helpful in strengthening teachers' understanding of metacognition strategies applied in reading comprehension. For students, the training accompanied by the exercises provided was useful for increasing reading comprehension knowledge and improving student learning outcomes

Abstract

This study aims to map the character education values represented in Suciati’s novel Meniti Asa through Thomas Lickona’s framework of ten essential virtues. This research is important because the novel portrays the moral struggles of adolescents in conditions of economic hardship, family conflict, and social pressure, making it relevant to contemporary character education discourse. The study employed a qualitative descriptive method using content analysis. The data source was the novel Meniti Asa published in 2021 by PT Inti Prima Aksara. Data were collected through hermeneutic reading techniques involving reading, note-taking, classification, and interpretation. The findings reveal 120 data points representing character education values, consisting of wisdom, justice, fortitude, self-control, love, positive attitude, hard work, integrity, gratitude, and humility. Among these values, fortitude emerged as the most dominant virtue, followed by love and positive attitude. Nayla’s moral development reflects resilience, empathy, responsibility, emotional maturity, and self-awareness throughout the conflicts she experiences. The study also demonstrates that Meniti Asa possesses strong pedagogical relevance as a literary medium for strengthening character education in literature learning. Therefore, the novel contributes not only as literary entertainment but also as a meaningful source of moral learning in educational contexts.

Abstract

This study investigates the representation of the human–nature relationship in the essay poems of Atas Nama Bencana by Denny JA through the lens of Lawrence Buell’s ecocritical theory. While previous studies on Denny JA’s essay poetry have predominantly examined social, political, and humanitarian concerns, ecological dimensions and environmental representations remain insufficiently explored. Moreover, the application of Buell’s ecocritical framework to contemporary Indonesian essay poetry has received limited scholarly attention. Addressing this gap, the study explores how ecological values and environmental criticism are articulated within the poems. Employing a descriptive qualitative design with a content analysis approach, the research examines words, phrases, lines, and stanzas related to ecological issues across ten essay poems in the collection. Data were gathered through close reading, note-taking, and classification techniques and analyzed using Buell’s four ecocritical principles. The findings reveal that ecological disasters are portrayed not merely as natural occurrences but as consequences of anthropocentric exploitation and environmental negligence. Two dominant patterns emerge: nature is represented as an active agent capable of responding to human actions, and environmental degradation is depicted as both a moral and social crisis. Through the interconnected imagery of forests, rivers, rain, floods, and landslides, the poems challenge anthropocentric perspectives and promote ecological awareness. The study demonstrates the relevance of Buell’s ecocritical framework in uncovering environmental ethics embedded in contemporary Indonesian literature, positioning Atas Nama Bencana as both an aesthetic work and a vehicle for ecological critique.
