Abstract

Vaccines or immunizations have become controversial. Various reasons are used by parents not to include their children when vaccines are carried out. One reason that is the basis is related to the content contained in the vaccine. Which makes the cause of the negative effects that occur due to the vaccine. In the city of Metro, especially in Metro Center Subdistrict, parents' interest in the MR Vaccine program prior to the MUI's decision was different. Many parents do not give MR vaccines for their children. In this study aims to explain the extent to which parents understand about MR vaccine. To analyze the interest of parents in the provision of MR Vaccines after the MUI's decision. This research is a type of field research. This research is descriptive qualitative, namely describing and describing the condition or an object then analyzing it. Sources of data in this study are the parents of children receiving MR Vaccines in Metro Pusat Subdistrict and also reference books that will complement the results of observations, interviews, and existing documentation. The results of this study are that parents' understanding of MR vaccines varies. There are parents who understand clearly there is also a lack of understanding. Whereas regarding the parents' interest in the MR Vaccine after the MUI's decision was that there were parents who stated that the decision had an effect, there were also parents who stated that the MUI's decision did not have a strong influence on its decision.

Abstract

This study aims to explain that the function of the traditional Sasadu house is not only seen as a cultural phenomenon but can also be seen as a means of cultural communication owned by the Sahu Tribe community in West Halmahera Regency. The shape of this traditional house is rectangular which was built on the ground and does not have an insulating wall in the middle of the village on the side of the road so that everyone has easy access from various directions. The method used in this research is qualitative which explores the meaning of the Sasadu traditional house by using a communication approach. Data were obtained through interviews with informants who were selected in a purposive way or based on the criteria for the research objectives. The results of the study describe the existence of the Sasadu traditional house as a symbol that brings together people from various circles and becomes the glue of social relations. Every ornament in the Sasadu traditional house contains cultural messages that are full of meaning about the values of life that must be preserved by each generation so that apart from being a cultural heritage, the Sasadu traditional house also has a social and cultural communication function

Abstract

Cultural messages are only captured with genuine appreciation and understanding by the cultural stakeholders themselves. The owner of culture will be able to feel the meaning because of living it in the environment even since childhood. This cultural message is then translated into values of life in society. The meaning contained in the cultural message of Maku Gawene contains about the principles of life to love each other, protect each other in the communication process. Simply Maku Gawene can be interpreted as a sense of mutual love and from this feeling is the basis for the formation of social solidarity as well as glue for any differences that exist. The meaning of Maku Gawene's cultural message then makes the communication behavior of Ternate people to be inclusive and full of love, so that they can accept others as part of them
