Abstract

Ikan pelagis kecil merupakan spesies target penangkapan karena bernilai ekonomis. Sampai 2016, Kementerian Kelautan Perikanan melaporkan bahwa pemanfaatan sumberdaya ikan pelagis kecil telah mencapai kondisi tangkap lebih. Hal ini disebabkan oleh upaya penangkapan yang tidak terkendali, salah satunya akibat penggunaan alat tangkap ikan yang sangat beragam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi tingkat kerentanan sumberdaya ikan pelagis kecil berdasarkan jenis alat tangkap yang beroperasi di perairan Utara Jawa. Diketahui bahwa lima dari enam jenis ikan yang ditangkap memiliki laju eksploitasi yang melebihi batas optimum (50%) dan digolongkan sebagai overexploited. Selain itu, alat tangkap bagan juga diduga sebagai alat tangkap yang paling menyebabkan sumberdaya ikan pelagis kecil rentan, karena memiliki nilai kerentanan tangkap (IV catch) yang paling tinggi sebesar 52,21. Hal ini diindikasikan juga oleh biomassa hasil tangkapan dan ukuran panjang ikan yang tertangkap dari suatu alat tangkap. Jika ukuran ikan yang tertangkap makin kecil dan ukuran pertama kali matang gonadnya (Lm50) rendah, maka jenis ikan tersebut dikhawatirkan berada pada kondisi rentan. Spesies ikan yang berstatus rentan tinggi berarti beresiko mengalami deplesi di alam dalam waktu yang singkat.

Abstract

Kawasan pesisir Kabupaten Brebes merupakan kawasan yang memiliki potensi sumberdaya ikan gelodok. Daerah ini menjadi salah satu sentra penangkapan ikan gelodok. Ikan gelodok memiliki keanekaragaman jenis untuk itu perlu dilakukan identifikasi jenis ikan yang ada disana sebagai inventarisasi dan pengelolaan. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei – Agustus 2017 di kawasan pesisir Kabupaten Brebes yang merupakan sentra penangkapan dan pengolahan ikan gelodok, titik lokasi yang diambil adalah Desa Kaliwlingi, Muara Polang, Desa Sawojajar dan Desa Bangsri. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pengamatan langsung dan identifikasi menggunakan buku Kottelat et al. (1993) serta perhitungan kepadatan dan pola sebaran populasi ikan dan analisa vegetasi mangrove. Hasil yang diperoleh terdapat 6 jenis ikan gelodok yaitu Acentrogobius viridispunctatus, Boleophthalmus pectinirostris, Oxuderces nexipinnis, Parapocryptes serperaster, Periophtalmodon schlosseri, dan Scartelaos histophorus. Ikan gelodok dengan ekosistem mangrove memiliki hubungan korelasi nilainya menunjukkan suatu hubungan yang beragam mulai dari rendah-sangat kuat.

Abstract

Cherax quadricarinatus is one of the important fisheries commodities in Lido Lake, but this spesies often become invasive. Egg production is used as basic information for managing freshwater cryfish in Lido Lake. This study aims to analyze the egg production of freshwater crayfish Cherax quadricarinatus in the waters of Lido Lake Bogor, West Java Province. This research was conducted in December 2017 until February 2018 with a total sample of 101 females. The growth pattern of Cherax quadricarinatus based on the t-test is negative allometric. Different carapace lengths have a significant effect on the total number of eggs. The average number of eggs produced during the three months sampling was 212 ± 65 eggs. The average egg volume produced is 4,2376 ± 1,2270 mm3 and the average egg diameter produced is 1,9919 ± 0,1869 mm.

Abstract

Abstract. The objective of the present study was to examine the water quality and macrozoobenthos community of Belumai, North Sumatra. The study was conducted from March to May 2013 at three  sampling locations for three times sampling with one month interval. The water quality parameters which recorded in the study was temperature, current velocity, stream width, depth, turbidity, pH, DO, COD, TOM. The results shows that the Belumai River has a high turbidity level (163.57 - 242.6 NTU) and COD have passed the threshold standard class 1, which is intended to standards drinking water. The dominant macrozoobenthos was the Oligochaeta (79%). The Agglomerative Hierarchical Clustering (AHC) is displaying 2 group where the group A (station 1) has a fairly good water conditions characterized by the presence of organisms that are facultative i.e. Gastropoda, while group B (station 2,3, and 4) was considered as polluted areas indicating by the present of a dominant macrocoobenthos fauna of Oligochaeta. The Oligocheata is a tolerant fauna and as indication of pollution.Keywords: Belumai River; Water quality; Macrozoobenthic diversity Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan menilai kondisi perairan dan komunitas makrozoobentos di Sungai Belumai, Sumatera Utara. Penelitian dilakukan pada Bulan Maret sampai Mei 2013 di empat 4 stasiun, pengambilan sampel dilakukan sebanyak tiga kali dengan interval sebulan sekali. Parameter yang diukur adalah suhu air, kecepatan arus, lebar sungai, kedalaman, kekeruhan, pH, DO, COD, TOM, dan Makrozoobentos.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Sungai Belumai memiliki tingkat kekeruhan yang tinggi yaitu 163,57 – 242,6 NTU dan nilai COD telah melewati ambang batas baku mutu kelas 1, yang diperuntukkan untuk baku mutu air minum. Makrozoobentos yang mendominasi yaitu dari kelas Oligochaeta sebesar 79%. Analisis Agglomerative Hierarchical Clustering (AHC), menghasilkan 2 kelompok dendogram, yaitu  kelompok A (Stasiun 1) memiliki kondisi perairan yang cukup baik ditandai dengan keberadaan organisme yang bersifat fakultatif yaitu dari kelas Gastropoda sedangkan kelompok B (Stasiun 2,3, dan 4) telah tercemar ditandai dengan keberadaan organisme dari kelas Oligochaeta yang jumlahnya mendominasi. Oligochaeta merupakan organisme yang memiliki sifat toleran terhadap bahan pencemar dan menjadi indikasi adanya pencemaran.Kata kunci : Sungai Belumai; Kualitas air; Keanekaragaman Makrozoobentos

Abstract

Abstract. The objective of thepresent study was to evaluate the mercury concentration at Kao Bay, North Halmahera and its relationship to density index of snail T. telescopium. Samplings were conducted at three locations in estuarine Balaitin, Cibok, and Kobok Rivers The samples were processed and analyzed for Standard procedure of Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry(AAS). The results showed that the mercury concentration in the water were ranged between 0.000239 to 0.000560 ppm, and mercury concentrations in sediment were ranged from 0.003 to 0.08 ppm and 0.06 to 0.15 ppm in the snail mussel. In general the concentration of mercury in the waters, sediment and snail mussel are stil below of quality standardsbythe U.S. EnvironmentalProtection Agencyandquality standard ofthe World Health Organization/Food andAgriculture Organization(WHO/FAO). There is a strong relationship between mercury concentration and density of snail, where the concentration of mercury was lower when the density index of snail higherKeywords: Mercury concentration; Marine water; sediment and density index of mud wakls (T. telescopium).Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsentrasi merkuri pada air laut, sedimen dan keong popaco (T. telescopium), serta hubungannya dengan indeks kepadatan. Sampling dilakukan pada tiga stasiun yaitu di muara Sungai Balaotin, Cibok dan Kobok. Analisis konsentrasi merkuri menggunakan Spektrofotometer Serapan Atom (SSA). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan konsentrasi merkuri pada air laut pada ketiga stasiun di Perairan Kao Teluk berkisar antara 0,000239-0,000560 ppm. Konsentrasi merkuri pada sedimen berkisar antara 0,003-0,08 ppm. Konsentrasi merkuri pada keong berkisar antara 0,06-0,15 ppm. Berdasarkan Keputusan Menteri Lingkungan Hidup Nomor 51 Tahun 2004 tentang baku mutu air laut, dan US Environmental Protection Agencytentang baku mutu sedimen, serta World Health Organization/Food and Agriculture Organization (WHO/FAO) tentang keamanan pangan maka kandungan merkuri pada air, sedimen dan keong popaco masih berada dibawah baku mutu yang ditetapkan. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang erat antara konsentrasi merkuri pada air dan sedimen dengan indek kepadatan keong popaco, dimana pada kepadatan tinggi maka kandungan merkuri cenderung rendah. Abstract

This aims of the study was to descript and evaluate the mangrove management strategy by local community (local wisdom) in East Coast Surabaya.. The survey method was utilized in this study using the stakeholder analysis and AWOT analysis. Primary data were collected through observation on object of study and by in-depth interviews, while secondary data were obtained through the literature review and reports. The results showed there were 50 stakeholders involved in the management of Pamurbaya mangrove, which was divided into three groups i.e. government, private and community. Local wisdom priority was mangrove ecotourism. The strategy for development of mangrove ecotourism was by increasing the institutional capacity and creativity, innovation of eco-tourism workers, and improvement of cooperation with related agencies.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine distribution and abundance macrozoobenthos  at Tangerang coastal waters, Banten. Study was carried out from April to August 2013 at Tangerang coastal waters, Banten with purposive sampling method and similarity Bray Curtis analysis using minitab.v15.1.2-Equinox softwere. A total of 5458 individuals macrozoobenthos were recorded during the study, its were belonging to 74 species The abundances of macrozoobenthos at Tanjung Pasir location was 634 ind/m2 dominated by Tellina palatum and Tellina timorensis, Kronjo location was 595 ind/m2 dominated by Codakia puncata and lower macrozoobenthos Cituis location was 177 ind/m2 dominated by Clitellio arenarius and Codakia puncata. The spatial distributin based on similarity Bray-Curtis analysis showed that the Kronjo, Cituis, and Tanjung Pasir locations generate four, three, and five groups, respectively. Nuculana bicuspidata dan Ophryotrocha puerilis was a cosmopolite macrozoobenthos were found at all locations. Generaly,  the macrozoobenthos distribution at Tangerang coastal waters were strongly depended on the types of sedimen and dissolved oxygen concentration
