Abstract

ABSTRACTMangrove is an important buffer ecosystem in the coastal area which has a function as carbon absorption through biomass growth.  Others also as support any kind ecosystem particularly is fish's biodiversity.  This research that was conducted in Bontang coast found 4 species of mangrove that dominated by Rhizophora apiculate that biomass production average 3714 kg/ha, Rhizophora mucronata 2415 kg/ha, Sonneratia 407 kg/ ha, and Bruguiera 251 kg/ha. Mangrove ecosystem support to biomass production of the shell, shrimp, mollusc until 2408 kg/ha of total population found.  The research found that have a similar trend of mangrove growth and biomass related biota production.  The message of this research is important of mangrove conservation to support biota and another ecosystem in the coastal area.    Keywords:  Mangrove, Association, Bontang,

Abstract

In general, the focus of this study analyzes the strengthening of solidarity through social media networks in communities living in the Ciliwung River Basin. There are two objectives of this study, namely analyzing social media can strengthen the solidarity and the forms of solidarity that are built on the community affected by floods and landslides in the Ciliwung River Basin. This research was conducted in a community that resides in the Ciliwung River, Kedunghalang Village, North Bogor District, Bogor City. Theoretical analysis uses social media theory from VanDijk and the theory of solidarity from Durkheim. Data collection techniques were carried out by non-participant observation, and in-depth interviews. The data analysis technique was carried out by the Milles and Huberman analysis model among neigboarhoods (RT) and hamlet/groups of neighboarhoods (RW) level. The results of the study show that social media is able to strengthen community solidarity in the Ciliwung Riverbank, a disaster prone area. Solidarity built through social media are social relations, social norms and inter-household trust. Social relations built on social media networks at the level of individuals and groups are high. The form of built solidarity is mechanical solidarity that has a strong collective awareness, trust and mutual assistance. The novelty of this research shows that social media network is able to form social relations in strengthening solidarity.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan ikan tuna begitu intensif sehingga potensial menyebabkan kerentanan.  Namun dalam perikanan multi spesies, kelompok non target (retain) sering tertangkap dalam jumlah lebih besar sehingga turut berpengaruh pada tingkat kerentanyan.  Penelitian yang dilakukan selama 2013 di Bali, Jakarta dan Pelabuhan ratu bertujuan melihat potensi kerentanan tersebut dari alat tangkap longline.  Pendekatan analisis PSA (producitivity dan susceptabilitas) dilakukan pada jenis ikan retain tuna yaitu ikan tenggiri, cakalang (Katsuwonus pelamis), bawal dan Ikan lemadang (Coryphaena hippurus).  Tingkat kerentanan kelompok retain alat longline secara keseluruhan masih rendah dari 1,8 dan dan ikan masih berpotensi berkelanjutan

Abstract

Kebijakan pemerintah dalam pengelolaan perikanan berbasis Wilayah Pengelolaan Perikanan (WPP) termasuk pada pengolahan yang menyangkut bahan baku. Potensi stok ikan lestari (maximum sustainable yield) merupakan potensi yang siap produksi sebagai konsumsi dan bahan baku olahan industri pengolahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan besaran stok yang tersedia di setiap WPP sebagai indikator daya dukung bahan baku untuk industri perikanan. Penelitian yang dilaksanakan tahun 2016 ini menggunakan data series 2010-2015 untuk pendugaan kapasitas bahan baku UMKM, dan data 2015-2016 untuk data kapasitas kebutuhan industri. Analisis mencakup ketersediaan bahan baku (stok pada MSY), kebutuhan bahan baku, dan daya dukung terhadap industri secara berkelanjutan dalam setahun. Daerah dengan potensi bahan baku tertinggi adalah WPP 718 yang mampu menopang lebih dari 600 UMKM, dan Industri. Rasio kebutuhan bahan baku industri 34,85% dan UMKM 65,15% dengan total bahan baku 5,05 juta ton. Potensi stok pada MSY sebesar 80% dari stok mampu mendukung 80 industri dan 3031 unit UMKM (total 3111 unit) usaha pengolahan ikan. Jumlah ini lebih rendah dari kondisi saat ini, dimana ada 650 lebih unit Industri, 6350 lebih unit UMKM. Artinya jumlah bahan baku yang tersedia tidak mencukupi untuk mendukung industri yang ada. Untuk menjamin tersedianya stok pada tiap WPP ke depan perlu perencanaan yang lebih baik. Strategi yang dapat dipilih adalah melakukan rasionalisasi industri, bukan impor ikan atau memperkuat sumber bahan baku dari budi daya ikan laut dan air tawar.

Abstract

 Kelompok ikan retain dari perikanan tuna juga termasuk kelompok komersial utama yang juga banyak dimanfaatkan. Penurunan hook rate tuna juga turut mempengaruhi perikanan tuna termasuk hasil tangkapan samping lainnya.  Untuk itu penelitian kerentanan kelompok retain ini juga perlu dilakukan untuk mengetahui potensi berkelanjutannya. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Juli 2013 di Sendangbiru Malang, Bitung, Wakatobi, dan Kendari. Data yang dikumpulkan dan kemudian dianalisis adalah produkitivitas dan susceptabilitas menurut kriteria MSC (Marine Steward Council). Indek kerentanan dievaluasi dari indek jarak (Index Jaccard). Hasil tangkapan ikan retain dari perikanan tuna adalah ikan cakalang (Katsuwonus pelamis), ikan lemadang (Coryphaena hippurus), dan baby tuna (Thunnus albacores).  Nilai produktivitas berkisar 1.43-2,14 tergolong sedang sampai tinggi dan susceptibilitas 1,13-1,48. Tingkat kerentanan ikan retain berkisar 86,3-96,2 yang tergolong rentan rendah (low risk) dan potensial berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Simping population (Placuna placenta) represent a type of benthic biota and it immobility. This species disperse in any coastal and territorial water of Indonesia such as in north Banten coast, Bekasi coast, Tuban, Gresik and Kalimantan. Dispesion of simping in Banten coastal having differences with other site.

Abstract

The monitoring technic  using  aquatic  organism  as bio indicator was  more  advance.    Monitoring of  water  quality conduct   with  biological indicator among   macrobentic biomass  and  green  mussel  population were  intensively used  by researcher. These research was consider  that  water  quality damage on Jakarta  bay might be identity with biomass analysis approach.   Benthic  organism used as sample  were  macrozoobenthos and green  mussel (Pema viridis).  Water  quality was analysed  using  Fsawb  (Fish and Wild  Life Method) index  from  ott. 1979, then  for  biomass  model  was analysed  by dominant cumulative curve.   Result  of this  research  showed  that  Fsawl index  average  was 64.99, that  its  value  was unappropriate for fishes.   The analysis  of abundance and biomass  comparison index  was tend  to increase  the  density, while the biomass was decrease.   The results  indicate that  water  body  was  already  polluted.  The si:: nificant  impact for  mussel of  pollution was appear on water column at 2 m under of sea level.

Abstract

The knowledge of fish reproduction is the most important in freshwater management continously. The research was done from February-July 2013, was aiming to describe information on reproductive aspects of belida fishes (Notopterus notopterus),i.e. sex ratio, gonado somatic stages, gonado somatic index, first size of maturity, fecundity, and spawning type. The fish Samples was taken by gill net which had many sizes such as 2, 2.5, 3, and 4 cm. Each gill net has length 30 m and width 2 m. Belida fishes have caught during research amounted 497 ind, which consisted of: 237 male and 260 female. Sex ratio male and female fish were relatively balance. The maturity gonad of male fish is faster than female fish. Featherback do spawn every month for each observation during the research. The spawning type of Featherback is partial pattern (step by step). The first size of maturity gonad from male fish was in length 135 mm and female fish was in length 162 mm. Fecundity of Featherback was in range 1.051-6.057 eggs. Fecundity is not influenced by length or weight body. For the sake to keep Featherback population needed a regulation, such as: the mesh size regulation of gillnet have to 30 mm or equal with 1.5 inci.
