Abstract

The Assembly line is the assembly process that is carried out based on the order of the production process in the production line. The problem that is often found in assembly lines is bottleneck conditions where some material piled up at the station. This situation indicates an imbalance in the production line. The improvement of the work method is one of the effective ways that can increase line efficiency. This study presents an increase in line efficiency by improving working methods in a washing machine assembly line of PT.X. The study aimed to increase the value of line efficiency by improving work methods. In this study, improvements were made using the line balancing method and Eliminate, Combine, Rearrange, Simplify (ECRS) concept. The results that have been done, the obtained value of line efficiency for washing machine products is 76.76%. This value has not reached the company's productivity target of 99.50%. Therefore it is necessary to improve the assembling line to increase the value of product production. The proposed improvements made with improvements to the work methods on the assembling line obtained 89.38% results is to increase the amount of line efficiency by improving work methods.

Abstract

Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI) is the single source producer of the NC212i Aircraft. Almost every Aircraft is delivered to the customer over the deadline date. The existence of waste is believed to be one of causing the late delivery. Based on observations of the 117th NC212i Aircraft assembly line, which is precisely at the fuselage assembly in the paneling group, six wastes are identified: waiting, transportation, overprocessing, inventory, and motion. Waste of overproduction does not occur because PTDI applies MTO (Make to Order) system. These 6 wastes are then processed using Waste Assessment Model (WAM). The ranking result is: first place is 25% for defects, second place is 23% for waiting, third place is 17% for motion, fourth place is 15% for inventory, fifth place is 13% for transportation, sixth place is 8% for overprocessing, and seventh place is 0% for overproduction. Three critical wastes based Pareto principle can be minimized, so the delay of aircraft delivery can be reduced.

Abstract

Secara geografis wilayah kelurahan Manahan terletak ditengah kota Surakarta. Wilayah tersebut sangat strategis karena terdapat beberapa bagunan/aset penting. Banyaknya aset penting tersebut selain membawa dampak positif bagi ekonomi warga sekitar juga membawa dampak negatif khususnya gangguan keamanan. Upaya menjaga keamanan masyarakat sebelumnya sudah dilakukan. Setiap RT terdapat sebuah sistem penjagaan keamanan yang dikenal dengan nama sistem keamanan lingkungan atau siskamling. Siskamling pada awalanya cukup efektif untuk menekan angka kriminalitas. Seiring berjalannya waktu banyak warga yang tidak bisa mengikuti sistem tersebut karena kesibukan. Hasil diskusi yang dilakukan dengan warga, diperoleh informasi bahwa pengamanan yang dilakukan kurang maksimal. Warga sepakat untuk mengunakan alat CCTV dalam membantu pengamanan lingkungan secara mandiri. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian berupa pemasangan alat yang membantu warga dalam mencegah terjadinya tindakan kejahatan yang mungkin terjadi pada lingkungan mereka. Alat smart security camera bisa diakses dimanapun oleh warga melalui smartphone. Implementasi ini memanfaatkan teknologi Internet of Thing (IoT). Hasil kegiatan lainnya adalah memberikan pengetahuan terkait people awareness agar warga lebih peduli terhadap keamanan lingkungan melalui sosialisasi modus-modus kejahatan yang mungkin terjadi dan bagaimana mencegahnya. Warga juga diberikan sosialisasi dan pendampingan lapangan terkait pemasangan dan pengoperasian smart security camera serta pelatihan terkait cara pengambilan alat bukti kejahatan berupa foto/video dari software.

Abstract

Wilayah Polokarto, Sukoharjo dengan kondisi geografis 400 mdpl, mempunyai iklim tropis, kisaran suhu 25-280C dengan kelembapan udara mencapai 88%. Kondisi tersebut sangat sesuai untuk tumbuh kembang jamur tiram putih, tanpa ada rekayasa lingkungan. Kondisi ini mendukung masyarakat wilayah tersebut untuk berbudidaya jamur tiram. Seiring berkembangnya pembudidayaan jamur tiram di wilayah tersebut, teridentifikasi permasalahan berkaitan dengan limbah media baglog jamur tiram. Media baglog setelah melewati usia produktif (rata-rata 4 bulan) akan menjadi limbah padat. Pembudidaya jamur tiram di wilayah tersebut belum memanfaatkan limbah tersebut secara ekonomis. Solusi yang ditawarkan adalah dengan menjadikan limbah media tanam baglog menjadi bio briket. Bio briket dari limbah media tanam jamur tiram sangat bernilai ekonomis dan dapat dijual umum di pasaran. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian adalah implementasi teknologi tepat guna kepada mitra yang berupa alat produksi pengepres bio briket. Selain itu mitra juga diberikan sosialisasi dan pendampingan lapangan terkait dengan pengoperasian dan perawatan alat pengepres bio briket serta sosialisasi cara mengemas bio briket agar tampilan menjadi lebih menarik sehingga produk tersebut dapat dipasarkan kepada masyarakat umum. Selama kegiatan, mitra dilibatkan secara aktif mulai dari proses pengembangan alat hingga implementasinya. Hal ini bertujuan agar mitra memiliki kesadaran untuk menggunakan, merawat dan memanfaatkan teknologi yang telah diaplikasikan.

Abstract

Daya simpan susu sapi segar cenderung singkat, sehingga perlu usaha untuk memperpanjang daya simpannya. Sabun susu padat hasil olahan secara home made oleh Kelompok Wanita Ternak (KWT) Margo Mulyo di Dukuh Dungus Desa Mundu Kecamatan Tulung Kabupaten Klaten Propinsi Jawa Tengah belum memenuhi Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI) 06-3532-1994. Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) 2019 yang dilakukan ditujukan untuk optimasi formula/resep pembuatan sabun susu padat yang memenuhi SNI untuk meningkatkan komersialisasinya. Selain itu juga ditambahkan bahan tambahan alami dari sekitar lokasi KWT untuk meningkatkan nilai inovasinya dalam metode penyiapan, proses pembuatan, dan takarannya. Bahan tambahan alami berguna sebagai pewarna dan pewangi alami. Bahan yang dicoba adalah adas, sereh, kulit jeruk, bunga telang, kunyit, pandan, dan temulawak. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan pembuatan sabun susu secara cold process dengan takaran berat susu: minyak kelapa: minyak sawit: NaOH teknis: bahan tambahan alami = 55:25:100:26:10 memberikan produk sabun yang memenuhi kriteria SNI. Sabun susu yang dihasilkan diuji pH, kadar air, dan kadar alkali bebas. Selain itu juga dilakukan uji stabilitas busa dan penerimaan produk oleh calon konsumen. Keberhasilan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini akan meningkatkan nilai ekonomi susu sapi segar dan menjadi sumber tambahan penghasilan bagi peternak sapi perah.

Abstract

With the launch of the career development center (CDC) website in the digital era, XYZ university in Indonesia takes the initiative to serve as a liaison between students and companies in need of new talent. The website is intended to distribute job market and career development information to students and graduates. However, no evaluation directly involving students and graduates was conducted during the development process. As a result, this study aims to assess the level of user experience to comprehend users' perceptions of the current CDC website. The User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) is used in this study to assess students' and alumni's perceptions as one entity. In addition, semi-structured interviews are conducted to better understand users' pain points. From the measurement with UEQ, the website's attractiveness got a positive impression from users with 0,99 points. The pragmatic quality aspect also makes a positive impression. This aspect consists of three variables: perspicuity (1,21 points), efficiency (0,83 points), and dependability (1,12 points). In contrast, the stimulation (0,74 points) and novelty (-0,37 points) variables on the hedonic quality aspect leave the user with a neutral impression. Based on interviews, users believe that the job vacancy information available on the CDC website still needs to be improved in quantity and variety. Users also need help finding the novelty aspect in terms of website appearance. This study successfully incorporated UEQ into the evaluation stage of a university's career development center website, which had never been done in previous research.

Abstract

PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk is one of the largest cement producers in Indonesia and has been established since 1975 with a production capacity of 4.3 million tons per year, this aims to meet the demand for cement needed by the Indonesian people. This study aims to forecast the demand for limestone raw materials at PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk Plant Cirebon. The data used is limestone raw material demand data from January 2023 to December 2023. The Time Series method is an analysis method to make a forecast needed in the future. The variables used in this study are the demand for limestone raw materials in a certain period as a bound variable and the time period (months) as an independent variable. There are three types of method models used in this study, namely the Moving Average Method, Exponential Smoothing, and Trend Analysis. The error rate in the forecasting results was tested using the results of the mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) value. Based on the results of the MAPE calculation that has been obtained as the best limestone raw material demand forecasting model, namely by using the Trend Analysis method because the method has the smallest forecasting error rate, which is 30.832%.

Abstract

PT. Trijaya Plastik Utama is a company that manufactures raincoats. Based on the results of interviews with workers in 3 production departments, most experienced complaints in the upper limbs, especially the neck, back, and hands. Most of the work does repetitive activities with long cycles, so the nature of the work is suspected to cause musculoskeletal disorders for the operator. This study aims to identify the presence of musculoskeletal risks due to repetitive work using the Occupational Repetitive Action (OCRA) method. Based on the identification results of each department section, the packing section has the highest OCRA index value with a value of 3.86 for the right hand and 3.01 for the left hand. Improvement efforts to reduce risk due to repetitive work is to apply the concept of Eliminate, Combine, Re-Arrange and Simplify (ECRS) and the proposed design of work facilities. As a result, the OCRA index value dropped to 0.95 for the right hand and 0.85 for the left hand where the conditions were optimal
