Abstract

The result of low mathematics learning related to several factors. The relationship between numerical skills, independent learning, and parent’s attention are the factors that may be linked to learning outcomes. The research is intended to know about is there any positive correlation and significance or not between numerical ability, independence learning, and parent’s attention with mathematics learning outcomes in students class VII in odd semester of MTs Muhammadiyah Karangkajen Yogyakartar in the academic year of 2016/2017. The population in this research was the students of  VII grade in MTs Muhammadiyah Karangkajen Yogyakartar in the academic year of 2016/2017, consisted of class  VIIA, VIIB, VIIC, VIID, and VIII, totaling 150 students. Samples were taken from VIIE as the research sample class and with the random sampling technique. The writer uses a questionnaire method to collect the data of independent learning and parent’s attention, and test method to get the numerical ability and result learning of math. The research instrument: validity test, different power test, and reliability test. Test requirement analysis includes a test of normality, a test of linearity, and the test of independence. The writer uses product-moment correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis to analyze the data. The results showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between numerical ability, independence learning, and parent’s attention with mathematics learning outcomes in students class VII in e odd semester of MTs Muhammadiyah Karangkajen Yogyakartar in the academic year of 2016/2017. It is showed by Fcount  Ftable is 7,4503 > 2,9912  with R = 0,6870 and R2 = 0,4720 with , with SR = , SR =  and SR = 35,5476 , SE = , SE =  and SE = .

Abstract

This research was conducted on the grounds that there were still many students who were less active and initiative in making decisions to solve problems because students only copied from the teacher's example and waited for the teacher's instructions to solve the problems. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of the PMRI Approach (Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education) Against Mathematics Learning Outcomes of Class VIII Students of SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Kalasan Sleman Regency Even Semester Academic Year 2015/2016. The research design uses Posttest-Only Control Design. The population in this research is the eighth-grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Kalasan. The research sample was taken using a random sampling technique obtained by class VIII D as an experimental class and VIII B as a control class. Data collection is done by the test method. The instrument testing used validity tests, different power tests, and reliability tests. Data analysis techniques using analysis prerequisite tests include normality test with Chi-Square formula, homogeneity test with Bartlett test, and hypothesis testing with t-test. Based on calculations of the significant level  and 67 degrees of freedom could be concluded that: (1) there were different result of Mathematics study between the students who used the learning of PMRI approach and the students who used traditional learning approach. This case showed from the result of the first hypothesis test is . (2) learning by using the PMRI approach more effective than using a traditional learning approach. This case showed from the result of the second hypothesis test is .

Abstract

This class action research aims to improve the learning activities of students of class XI RPL at SMK Muhammadiyah Kretek through Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) cooperative learning models. The research subjects were students in class XI RPL. Research instruments in the form of test questions, observation sheets, and interviews. Data analysis techniques using qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the application of the TAI type of cooperative learning model could increase student mathematics learning activities. Cycle I obtained the percentage of enthusiastic aspects of students in taking lessons 50.781% with sufficient criteria. Aspects of student interaction with teachers 49.98% with sufficient criteria. Aspects of interaction between students 50.78% in the criteria sufficient. The aspect of group collaboration 52.343% in the criteria is sufficient. Aspects of student activity in groups of 49.98% insufficient criteria. The aspect of student participation in concluding the results of discussion 56.25% in the criteria is sufficient. So the learning activities of students in class XI RPL are 51.71% with sufficient criteria. Cycle II obtained the percentage of enthusiastic aspects of students in taking lessons 66,406% with good criteria. 64.063% aspects of student interaction with teachers with good criteria. Aspects of interaction between students 61,709% in good criteria. The aspect of group cooperation is 64,063% in good criteria. Aspects of student activity in groups 62.5% in good criteria. The aspect of student participation in concluding the results of the discussion was 65,625% in good criteria. So the learning activities of students in class XI RPL are 64,063% with good criteria.

Abstract

The result of a student's mathematics learning is related to many factors. Learning interest and home study facilities are some of the factors that allegedly relate to learning outcomes. This study aims to determine whether there is a positive and significant relationship between the interest of learning and home study facilities with the results of learning mathematics students of class VIII State Junior High School (SMP Negeri) 2 Pandak Bantul District Even Semester Year Teaching 2017/2018. This type of research is classified as quantitative research. This study's population is all students of class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Pandak Bantul District, even semester 2017/2018 academic year consisting of 5 classes with 155 students. Samples were taken by random sampling technique to the class and obtained class VIII A, consisting of 31 students. Data collection techniques used questionnaires and test techniques. Test the research instrument using validity test, reliability test, and different power test. The prerequisite analysis test includes the normality test, independent test, and linearity test. Data analysis using correlation analysis and linear regression analysis. The results showed that there was a positive and significant correlation between learning interest (X1) and home study facility (X2) with mathematics learning result with Fcount = 3,6046  >  Ftable = 3,34 is with R = 0,4525 and R2 = 0.2048 with Y = 15,4039 + 0,2336X1 + 0,3336X2 and (RC X1) = 31,9745%, (RC X2) = 68,0255%, (EC X1) = 6,5469%, and (EC X2) = 13.9284%.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a mathematical module on the set material for students of class VII Junior High School (SMP/MTs) based on the 2013 curriculum and know the feasibility of modules developed based on material experts, media experts, and student's responses. The type of this research is the development research, which refers to the model of ADDIE, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The instruments used in this study are an assessment sheet for material experts, assessment sheets for media experts, and a student response questionnaire to the module. The subjects of this study are material experts, media experts, and students of SMPN 15 Yogyakarta and MTs Muhammadiyah Karangkajen Yogyakarta. The results of this research and development show that the module The mathematics developed included in the category is a very well based questionnaire assessment by a material expert with a score of 137.667; Questionnaire assessment by expert media with a score 128,667; and average student response results in this study is 124,427. The assessment results show that the mathematics module, the set material for grade VII students of SMP / MTs based on the 2013 curriculum, is worthy of use in the learning process.

Abstract

Learning mathematics is still a lesson that is considered difficult for students. Student activity also seems to be lacking. This can be seen from some students who pay less attention to the teacher's lessons, and some students chat with their friends. Students also do not want to ask the teacher if they have difficulty learning or working on math problems. Sometimes students lack the confidence to ask questions or express their opinions. For this reason, students need an active attitude in solving problems during the learning process of mathematics. This study aims to improve students' mathematics learning activities. This study's subjects were the sixth-grade students of Junior High School (SMP) Muhammadiyah Ngemplak Sleman Regency, totaling 32 students consisting of 20 male students and 12 female students. This research aims to apply the team's games tournament (TGT) type learning model. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation and interview methods. The research instrument used observation sheets and interview sheets. The data analysis technique in this study used a qualitative descriptive. This study indicates that passing the TGT cooperative learning model can improve mathematics learning activities in VIIA students in the Middle Semester of SMP Muhammadiyah Ngemplak Sleman Regency 2018/2019. This is shown from the results of the observation sheet of student learning activities in mathematics learning, which has increased every Cycle, namely in Cycle I, indicators of student enthusiasm in participating in learning amounted to 59,38% with sufficient criteria, student and teacher interaction of 55,86% with sufficient criteria, the interaction between students was 53,52% with sufficient criteria, group collaboration was 62,90% with good criteria, student activity in the group was 57,82% with sufficient criteria, student participation in concluding the discussion result was 55,86% with sufficient criteria. While in Cycle II, each indicator has increased, namely the indicator of student enthusiasm in participating in learning amounting to 79,69% with good criteria, the interaction between students and teachers amounted to 73,83% with good criteria, the interaction between students was 71,10% with good criteria, group collaboration amounted to 78,91% with good criteria, student activities in the group amounted to 76,95% with good criteria, student participation in concluding the results of the discussion amounted to 73,44% with good criteria.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan karena kurangnya aktivitas belajar siswa kelas X Akuntansi SMK Muhammadiyah Kretek Kabupaten Bantul Tahun Pelajaran 2017/2018 dalam pembelajaran matematika. Tujuan dari penelitian yaitu meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Quantum Teaching pada siswa kelas X Akuntansi SMK Muhammadiyah Kretek Kabupaten Bantul Semester Ganjil Tahun Pelajaran 2017/2018. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari dua siklus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X Akuntansi SMK Muhammadiyah kretek Kabupaten Bantul Semester Ganjil Tahun Ajaran 2017/2018 dengan jumlah siswa 25 yang terdiri dari 3 siswa laki-laki dan 22 siswa perempuan. Data dikumpulkan dengan metode observasi menggunakan lembar observasi aktivitas belajar siswa, dan wawancara. Analisis Instrumen menggunakan validitas isi. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Quantum Teaching dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa kelas X Akuntansi SMK Muhammadiyah Kretek Kabupaten Bantul Tahun Pelajaran 2017/2018. Hal ini terbukti dari hasil analisis lembar observasi aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran setiap siklus mengalami peningkatan yaitu rata-rata presentase hasil observasi aktivitas siswa pada siklus I 52,67% yang mencapai kriteria cukup, dan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 63,91% yang mencapai kriteria baik. Dari hasil wawancara dengan siswa menunjukan respon yang positif terhadap aktivitas belajar siswa.

Abstract

Learning is a human process to achieve a wide range of competencies, skills, and attitudes. The availability of mathematics teaching materials at SMP Negeri 1 Tempel and MTs Negeri 2 Sleman still lacks, especially the teaching materials that use The Open-Ended approach. The student worksheet based on The Open-Ended approach is one of the teaching materials alternatives that can be used to facilitate teachers and empower students. This research aims to develop and test the feasibility of the student worksheet using The Open-Ended approach for grade VII SMP / MTs students in the second semester on the Quadrangle two-dimensional shapes material.  The research was done through a procedural development model. The stages in developing student worksheets using The Open-Ended approach were preliminary research, data collection, product development, product validation, and product trial. The subjects of research and development were materials experts, media experts, and students. In this research, material experts and media experts were expert lecturers and grade VII junior high school mathematics teachers. Data collection techniques used were interviews and questionnaires. The type of data used was qualitative data, which was then converted into quantitative data. Data analysis using a qualitative descriptive analysis technique was used to describe the development of student worksheets. The descriptive statistic was to analyze the questionnaire of the feasibility test of material experts, media experts, and the student response to the worksheet. The result of the research and development succeeded in making student worksheets using The Open-Ended approach for grade VII SMP / MTs student on the Quadrangle materials. The assessment of the material experts, media experts, and student responses to the student worksheet using The Open-Ended approach is 84.21% with very reasonable criteria. These results indicate that the student worksheet using The Open-Ended approach for grade VII SMP / MTs student on the Quadrangle two-dimensional shapes material is very feasible in the learning process

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk memberikan pemahaman konsep materi persamaan linear satu variabel menggunakan video pembelajaran berbasis penemuan terbimbing dengan kategori yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Pengembangan video pembelajaran menggunakan ADDIE yaitu (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Hasil penelitian dari hasil uji validasi video pembelajaran termasuk dalam kategori valid, dapat dilihat dari persentase rata-rata, diperoleh rata-rata 4,1 dengan kategori baik dan hasil ahli media diperoleh rata-rata 4,25 dengan kategori sangat baik, hasil uji coba respon peserta didik pada video pembelajaran berbasis penemuan terbimbing termasuk dalam kategori praktis dengan rata-rata 3,25 dengan kategori baik. Keefektifan rata-rata hasil belajar peserta didik adalah 77 dengan kategori baik. Sehingga video pembelajaran berbasis penemuan terbimbing valid, praktis, dan efektif.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini didasari atas permintaan dari Kepala Sekolah SMP Muhammadiyah PleretKabupaten Bantul, yang menginginkan siswa –siswa kelas IX yang akan menghadapi UjianNasional (UN) sukses dan memperoleh nilai UN yang optimal. Tujuan dari pengabdian untuk : 1)memberikan wawasan pentingnya belajar untuk menghadapi UN, 2) Trik dalam mengerjakan soalUN, dan 3) pelatihan dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal latihan UN Matematika.Kegiatan dilaksanakan di SMP Muhammadiyah Pleret pada semester genap TA 2016/2017pada tanggal 25 April 2017. Peserta siswa kelas IX MBS yang berjumlah 37 orang berdasarpermintaan pihak sekolah SMP Muhammadiyah Pleret. Kegiatan dibagi dalam 3 sesi (sesi aljabar,sesi geometri dan sesi statistik) yangberupa penyuluhan dan pelatihan.Hasil dan respon peserta dalam mengikuti kegiatan penyuluhan dan pelatihan ini adalah : (1).Peserta memperoleh berbagai cara dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika, (2). Peserta antusiasdalam mengerjakan soal UN, (3) Peserta dapat bekerjasama dalam menyelesaikan soal soal UN, (4)Peserta dapat menggolongkan soal-soal UN yang tergolong mudah dan dapat mengerjkannya secarabenar dan (5) Rata-rata Nilai UN yang diperoleh siswa mengalami kenaikan dari nilai rata-rata tryout matematika 38,25 naik menjadi 90,00.
