Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengeksplor situs keagamaan & kebudayaan di Provinsi Aceh agar dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika di tingkat Madrasah Tsanawiyah sebagai media dan mengeksplor situs tersebut menjadi media pembelajaran berbagai materi ajar matematika di tingkat Madrasah Tsanawiyah untuk dikembangkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan menggunakan rancangan eksplorasi, Jenis penelitiannya adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan tataran analisis eksploratif. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian berupa lembar angket, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, sedangkan untuk menganalisis datanya berupa analisis kualitatif untuk mengekspoler situs keagamaan & kebudayaan di Provinsi Aceh yang dapat digunakan untuk media pembelajaran matematika di tingkat Madrasah Tsanawiyah. Subjek untuk mendapatkan data dalam penelitian ini adalah perwakilan tokoh agama, tokoh adat, ahli arkeologi dan ahli arsitektur yang benar-benar memahami nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam situs keagamaan, artefak dan rancangan bangunan dan benda-benda yang sedang berkembang dalam zona-zona wilayah di atas. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa Situs keagamaan dan kebudayaan di Provinsi Aceh yang dapat dijadikan sebagai media pembelajaran matematika di tingkat Madrasah Tsanawiyah adalah Kalung pada pakaian adat, Sudong, Geudrang, Kuah Beulanggong, Sie Reuboh, Tugu Kupiah Meukeutop Teuku Umar, Tilam Gulong, Kindang, Karah. Adapun situs yang dieksplor tersebut dapat dikembangkan menjadi media pembelajaran utnuk materi ajar matematika di tingkat Madrasah Tsanawiyah diantaranya adalah layang-layang, kerucut, tabung, sistem persamaan linear dua variabel.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matemastis antara siswa yang belajar menggunakan pendekatan CTL dengan siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional, untuk menelaah perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah antara siswa dengan kemampuan matematika tinggi, sedang dan rendah pada siswa yang belajar dengan pendekatan CTL, untuk melihat apakah terdapat pengaruh atau interaksi antara faktor pendekatan pembelajaran yang diberikan dengan faktor kategori kemampuan siswa menyangkut peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman dan pemecahan masalah siswa, untuk Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif menggunakan dua kelas, yakni kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dengan pre-test post-test group design. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII MTsN Rukoh Banda Aceh, sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah dua kelas yaitu VIII-1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VIII- 4 sebagai kelas kontrol dengan pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Analisis data dilakukan secara kuantitatif dilakukan terhadap rataan gain ternormalisasi antara kedua kelompok sampel dengan menggunakan Uji-t. Pengolahan data menggunakan Software SPSS 14,0 for Window dan Microsoft Office Excel 2007. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran matematika dengan pendekatan kontekstual dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman dan pemecahan masalah siswa ditinjau secara keseluruhan dan kategori kemampuan matematika siswa. Pembelajaran matematika dengan pendekatan kontekstual secara signifikan lebih baik dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman dan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional.

Abstract

The ability of students in learning Mathematics Senior high school, still cannot be categorized as good, because students who have only been able to work on questions without being able to communicate it well back to other parties. This study raises the problem of how students' mathematical communication skills in solving mathematics problems at Senior high school?. This study aims to determine students' mathematical communication skills in solving mathematical problems at Senior high school. This research uses field research method with qualitative approach and descriptive research type. The subjects of this study consisted of three students. Data collection techniques were carried out by tests and interviews. The data was then analyzed using a qualitative descriptive approach. Based on the results of the study, it can be seen that the mathematical abilities of the students of Senior high school Sabang City can be classified into three levels of ability, namely students with high, medium and low abilities. Students who have high abilities in addition to being able to work on questions well are also able to communicate them to others. Students who have moderate mathematical ability are only able to do one aspect, namely only being able to work on questions without being able to communicate them well to other parties. Meanwhile, low-ability students are only able to solve problems and are not good at communicating mathematically to other parties.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to find out the increase in the ability to understand mathematical problem solving of students after applied Learning Cycle 7E model and also was to find out the differences in problem solving abilities of students after applied Learning Cycle 7E model with conventional learning on SPLDV material in SMPN 6 Sabang. Kind of the research was used Quasi Experimental Design with pretest-posttest control group design. Population of this research are all of eight grade students in SMPN 6 Sabang. This research involves two class,VIII-1 as an experimental class and VIII-2 as a control class. Data was collected using test of students mathematical problem solving abilities.(1) Using the t-test (paired sample t-test) obtained tcount = 4,80 and ttable = 1,71. So because tcount ttable, it means refused and accept . So it can be concluded that the learning with used Learning Cycle 7E could increase mathematical problem solving abilities of students on SMPN 6 Sabang. As for the average increase is 0,30 in the medium category.(2) Based on the sample independent t-test, test of the criteria is refused if tcount ttable, because obtained tcount = 8,76 and ttable = 1,68. Because 8,76so accept . Based on the hypothesis test so it can be concluded that mathematical problem solving abilities of students SMPN 6 Sabang which applied with Learning Cycle 7E model there is a differences with mathematical problem solving abilities of students SMPN 6 Sabang which applied conventional learning.Keywords: Problem solving abilities, Learning Cycle 7E model

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find the mathematical problem solving abilities of junior high school students who are taught between the CORE model and conventional learning, increase students' mathematical problem solving abilities after implementing the CORE model. The research method used was experimental research with a pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this study were all students of SMP Negeri 3 Meulaboh, with sampling carried out using simple random sampling techniques. In this study the sample consisted of two classes, namely VIII4 as the experimental class and VIII6 as the control class. From the research results, it was obtained (1) the mathematical problem solving abilities of students who were taught the CORE learning model were better than conventional learning, this could be obtained from the t-test statistical data with t-count = 3.45 and t-table = 1.67. (2) increase in mathematical problem solving abilities of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 3 Meulaboh who are taught through the CORE learning model,13,86 1,67. Thus rejected, which means acceptedTherefore, it can be concluded that there isincreasing students' mathematical problem solving abilities through the application of the CORE learning model to junior high school students.

Abstract

The main key in learning mathematics is understanding the concept. If students are going to learn higher concepts, then students must master the concepts that underlie these concepts because mathematical concepts are arranged in a systematic, hierarchical, and real way from simple to complex things. The purpose of this study was to describe the ability to understand the concept of relations and functions based on APOS theory. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with six research subjects, consisting of grade VIII-A2 UBP students at MTsN 1 Aceh Barat Daya. Subject selection is based on certain student ability criteria, namely 2 students with high abilities, 2 students with moderate abilities, and 2 students with low abilities. The data collection technique used was a concept understanding test sheet and interview guidelines. Data analysis is done by reducing, presenting, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that: Subjects with high ability (ST) fulfilled all indicators of concept understanding. Subjects with moderate ability (SS) and subjects with low ability (SR) only have 4 indicators of concept understanding. In indicator (1) the ST subject meets the action stage, while the SS subject and SR subject do not meet the APOS stage. In indicator (2), the ST subject fulfills the process, object and schema stages, the SS subject fulfills the process and object stages, the SR subject only meets the object stage. In indicator (3), the ST subject fulfills the action, process and object stages, the SS subject fulfills the action and process stage, the SS subject fulfills the process and object stage. In indicator (4) the ST subject fulfills the process, object and schema stages, the SS subject and SR subject only fulfills the process stage. In indicator (5) the ST subject meets the process and object stages, the SS and SR subjects only meet the process stage.

Abstract

ABSTRACKThe presence of ethno-mathematics in mathematics learning provides a new nuance that learning mathematics is not only confined in the classroom but the outside world by visiting or interacting with local culture can be used as a medium for learning mathematics. The research begins with the activity of exploring and examining the potential for the use of religious and cultural sites (artifacts) as learning media for various mathematics teaching materials at the junior high school level using a qualitative approach followed by research and development (RD) methods following the 4D model at the product trial stage. The stages taken are the define stage, the planning stage, the develop stage and the dissemination stage. Data collection techniques in this study were interviews and questionnaires. Validation is carried out by material experts. Based on the results of the validation of the quality stage of the learning media content, it was obtained an average score of 89.46% with the criteria "very appropriate or very feasible". Based on the results of the research the teacher's response to the media obtained an average score of 4.23 where x 3.25 with the criteria "very good". In the trials of students, an average score of 4.55 was obtained where x 3.25 with the criteria "very good". Based on this assessment, the mathematics learning media material of the Two-Variable Linear Equation System (SPLDV) based on Islamic culture can be used as a learning medium.Keywords: Media Development, Based on Islamic Culture of Aceh Besar Community, 4D ModelABSTRAKHadirnya etnomatematika dalam pembelajaran matematika memberikan nuansa baru bahwa belajar matematika tidak hanya terkungkung didalam kelas tetapi dunia luar dengan mengunjungi atau berinteraksi dengan kebudayaan setempat dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian diawali dengan kegiatan mengeksplorasi dan mengkaji potensi pemanfaatan situs (artifaks) agama dan budaya sebagai media pembelajaran untuk berbagai materi ajar matematika di tingkat sekolah menengah pertama menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dilanjutkan dengan metode penelitian dan pengembangan (RD) mengikuti model 4D pada tahapan uji coba produk. Tahapan yang dilakukan yaitu tahap pendefinisian (define), tahap perencanaan (design), tahap pengembangan (develop), dan tahap menyebaran (disseminate). Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara dan angket. Validasi dilakukan oleh ahli materi. Berdasarkan hasil validasi tahap kualitas isi media pembelajaran diperoleh skor rata-rata 89,46% dengan kriteria sangat sesuai atau sangat layak. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian respon guru terhadap media diperoleh rata-rata skor sebesar 4,23 dimana x 3,25 dengan kriteria sangat baik. Pada uji coba kepada peserta didik diperoleh rata-rata skor sebesar 4,55 dimana x 3,25 dengan kriteria sangat baik. Berdasarkan penilaian tersebut maka media pembelajaran matematika materi Sistem Persamaan Linear Dua Variabel (SPLDV) berbasis budaya islami dapat dijadikan sebagai media pembelajaran.Kata Kunci: Pengembangan Media, Berbasis Budaya Islami Masyarakat Aceh Besar, Model 4D

Abstract

There are religious and cultural problems of the Pidie Community that have not been explored so that they are not properly utilized as a medium for learning mathematics. Researchers try to provide solutions through the development of religious-based cultural mathematics learning media in the form of PowerPoint software and teaching materials. With the aim of identifying various religious and cultural sites in the district that have not been explored as media for learning mathematics, describing the process of developing learning media for various mathematics teaching materials, and testing the validity of learning media development products with flat-sided building materials based on cultural sites in Pidie and Pidie Jaya. With this design, the research begins with activities that are explored and examined the potential use of religious and cultural sites as learning media for various mathematics teaching materials at the junior high school level using the ethnographic method (qualitative approach), research and development (RD) methods. 4D model with a quantitative approach at the product trial stage. The stages taken are the defining stage, the planning stage, the development stage, and the distribution stage. The data techniques in this study were interviews and questionnaires. Validation is carried out by material experts. Based on the results of the validation of the content quality stage of the learning media, it was obtained an average score of 95.36% with the criteria "very appropriate or very feasible". Based on the research results, the teacher's and in the trials of students response to the media obtained, where x 3.25 with the criteria "very good". So that this learning media can be used as a complement to teaching materials.
