Abstract

Abstrak– This study aims to find out the relationship between perceived organizational support and organizational commitment to UKKI members. This research design was quantitative with 70 UKKI members recruited through accidental sampling technique. The data was obtained then tested first into the classical assumption test, which consists test of normality and homogeneity. Then, after the data passed the classical assumption test, the data was continued with the pearson correlation test. The results showed that there was a significant correlation between perceived organizational support and organizational commitment and the p value = 0,001 < 0,05. The implication of this research shows that in order to increase the commitment of UKKI members, UKKI must be able to provide beneficial support for its members during Covid 19 pandemic period such as by maintaining intense communication and many more. Abstrak- Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mencari tahu hubungan antara perceived organizational support terhadap organizational commitment pada anggota UKKI. Adapun desain penelitian ini ialah kuantitatif dengan jumlah subjek sebanyak 70 orang anggota UKKI yang direkrut melalui teknik accidental sampling. Data yang diperoleh kemudian diuji terlebih dahulu ke dalam uji asumsi klasik yang terdiri atas uji normalitas dan homogenitas. Kemudian setelah data dinyatakan lolos uji asumsi klasik, data akan diolah pada uji korelasi pearson. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat korelasi signifikan antara perceived organizational support dengan organizational commitment dengan nilai korelasi p = 0,001 < 0,05. Implikasi dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa untuk meningkatkan komitmen anggota UKKI, maka organisasi UKKI harus bisa menyediakan dukungan yang baik bagi anggotanya selama masa pandemi seperti dengan cara menjaga komunikasi yang intens dan lain sebagainya.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the cultural picture of the millennial generation in the city of Surabaya is viewed from the six dimensions of Hofstede's culture. This research is a quantitative research that uses the "VSM 08" questionnaire to collect the desired data. The sample of this study amounted to 100 subjects who were taken using accidental sampling technique. The data that has been collected is then analyzed using the formula that has been formulated by Hofstede. The results of the study detail that the millennial generation in the city of Surabaya which is reviewed through Hofstede's cultural dimensions has: (1) the Power Distance Index (PDI) has a high index with a result of 65.5 or believes there is a distance between power holders and those under them. (2) The Individualism Index (IDV) shows a low index score with a result of 13.5, which may indicate strong collectivism. (3) Masculinity Index (MAS) with a result of 64 or millennials in Surabaya City tend to like the pattern of competition. (4) The Uncertainty Avoidance Index (UAI) has a high index score of 79, meaning that millennials do not like things that are uncertain. (5) Long Term Orientation Index (LTO) has a result of 72.5 or happy future-oriented. (6) Indulgence Index (IVR) with a result of 46 or tend not to indulge in lust.

Abstract

Abstrak Kemiskinan merupakan sebuah kondisi deprivasi, di mana pada umumnya hal tersebut hanya akan membuat manusia tidak bahagia. Namun berdasarkan studi di lapangan ditemukan terdapat orang-orang miskin yang tinggal di perkotaan masih dapat menunjukkan perasaan bahagia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi pengalaman bahagia di kalangan orang miskin di Kota Surabaya. Melalui penggunaan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi, penelitian ini mengkaji lima orang miskin di Surabaya yang berpenghasilan di bawah garis kemiskinan BPS dan merasakan hidup bahagia dibuktikan melalui Oxford Happiness Questionnaires. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara semi terstruktur secara mendalam. Hasil dari temuan di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa orang miskin yang hidup di perkotaan masih dapat merasakan bahagia. Faktor yang membuat orang miskin dapat menikmati hidup bahagia beragam, mulai dari dapat berkumpul dengan keluarga, terjalinya relasi positif dengan teman dan tetangga, merasakan adanya kehadiran Tuhan, terhindari dari perselisihan yang berkepanjangan, menerapkan nalar subsistent atau hidup sederhana sehingga terhindar resiko masalah finansial, beserta beberapa life events seperti melihat partisipasi anak dalam pendidikan yang lebih tinggi, hingga adanya bantuan pemerintah. Kata Kunci: Kebahagiaan, Kemiskinan, Kota Surabaya Abstract Poverty is a condition of deprivation which generally makes people unhappy. However, based on field studies, it was found that poor people who live in urban areas can still show feelings of happiness. The purpose of this study was to identify the experiences of happy among the poor in the city of Surabaya. Through the use of qualitative methods with a phenomenological approach, this study examines five poor people in Surabaya who earn less or below than BPS poverty line and feels happy as evidenced by the Oxford Happiness Questionnaires. Data was collected through in-depth semi-structured interviews. The results of the findings in the field show that poor people who live in urban areas can still feel happy. The factors that make them able to enjoy a happy life vary, ranging from being able to gather with family, establishing positive relationships with friends and neighborhood, feeling the presence of God, avoiding prolonged disputes, applying subsistent reasoning (simple living so as to avoid the risk of financial problems), as well as several life events such as seeing children's participation in higher education, to the existence of government assistance.
