Abstract

This The 21st century requires human resources who have superior quality with critical thinking skills, creativity, collaboration, and communication skills. Education is the main sector that plays a role in increasing the number of human resources with superior skills. The research objectives are: 1) Knowing the mathematical literacy skills of students 2) Knowing the higher order thinking skills of students 3) Knowing the correlation between mathematical literacy and students' higher-order thinking skills. The research method used in this research is correlational, without giving any treatment. The data collection technique in this study was a test technique, with the research population being students of class X SMA Negeri 2 Kuningan with a total of 249 students. The sampling technique used was Stratified Random Sampling so that the number of samples taken was 35 students. The results obtained that the level of mathematical literacy ability seen in each indicator obtained results on the formulate indicator with a mean value of 66.09 being in the good category, the mean value of the employing indicator of 78.43 being in the good category, while the mean value of the employing indicator was 78.43. the indicator interprets the mean value of 27.51 in the low category. Meanwhile, the level of students' higher order thinking skills seen in each indicator obtained an average score or mean from the analyzing indicator (C4) of 56, the C5 indicator evaluated getting the mean or average value of 53.57, and the mean value of the C6 indicator. create 44.57. The mean or average value obtained for each indicator is interpreted based on test scores with a sufficient category for the C4 indicator, the low category for the C5 indicator, and the very low category on the C6 indicator, and the results of this study indicate that there is a significant correlation between mathematical literacy and ability students' higher order thinking. Abstract

One of the purpose of mathematics is to develop students’ mathematical reasoning abilities. But in the fact indicate that objective can’t be realized optimally. This research aims to determine the effect of application Van Hiele theory aided software wingeom to mathematical reasoning ability students on geometry. This research is case study with a sample of 40 students and using technique purposive sampling. The technique of collecting data used questionnaire and essay tests. Based on analysis of questionnaire obtained an average percentage of 63,04%, that means the student responded strongly. While mathematical reasoning ability is quite an average of 67,25%. Based on the hypothesis test analysis whit significance 5% show there is the effect of application Van Hiele theory aided software wingeom to mathematical reasoning ability on geometry. From the regression equation obtained = 8,482 + 0,847 X. The coefficient is positive, that means there is a positive correlation between the application Van Hiele theory aided software Wingeom and mathematical reasoning ability. The coefficient of determination 0,166 meaning that 16% variable mathematical reasoning ability is determined by the Van Hiele theory aided application software wingeom, while the remaining 84% is explained by other variable. The application of Van Hiele theory aided Wingeom software significantly affect students’ mathematical reasoning ability on geometry.

Abstract

AbstrakPendidikan matematika di sekolah sebagai bagian integral dari kurikulum nasional memiliki peranan yang strategis dalam membentuk Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) Indonesia. Hal ini sejalan dengan tujuan umum diberikannya maten.matematika pada tingkat pendidikan dasar, yaitu melalui matematika siswa diharapkan akan mampu berpikir dan bertindak atas dasar pemikiran yang logis, sistematis, kritis, cermat, jujur, efektif, dan efesien dalam kehidupannya. Oleh karena itu upaya meningkatkan kualitas SDM Indonesia dapat dimulai melalui peningkatan kemampuan penalaran matematik (mathematical reasoning) siswa sekolah dasar, seperti yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian ini merupakan studi pengembangan multimedia matematika interaktif yang didesain untuk menumbuhkembangkan kemampuan penalaran matematik siswa SD. Studi pengembangan ini dilakukan dalam dua tahap (satu tahun per tahap), mencakup: identifikasi dan pengembangan struktur model multimedia, pengembangan dan penerapan multimedia matematika interaktif, serta evaluasi dan diseminasi model yang dihasilkan. Instrumen yang dikembangkan dalam penalitian ini adalah bervariasi sesuai dengan keperluan penelitian pengembangan (developmental research). Pada tahap pertama dilakukan pengkajian mendalam secara teoritis dan empiris materi matematika sekolah dasar yang dapat menumbuhkembangkan kemampuan penalaran matematik, sehingpa diperoleh wacana pembelajaran matematika yang berdasarkan pedagogi materi subjek yang siap dipresentasikan melalui komputer. Pada tahap kedua didesain multimedia interaktif berupa perangkat lunak (software) untuk belajar matematika dan dilakukan ujicoba penerapan multimedia ini, menentukan efektivitas model yang telah dikembangkan dan penyebarluasan produk.Kata kunci : Multimedia Interaktif, Kemampuan Penalaran Matematik

Abstract

This study aims to develop Android-based media for learning the orm applications by developing designs to attract students to learn independently. The application used in this study is the Smart Apps Creator (SAC). This media development uses the research and development (R&D) method according to Sugiyono by using the Potential and Problem steps, Gathering Information, Product Design, Design Validation, Design Improvement, Product Testing, Product Revision, and Usage Trials. The validation results by the media expert were 0.84 with the criteria "Very Appropriate." The validation results by the material experts were 0.80 with the criteria "Very Suitable." Based on the results of expert validation, the application is declared valid and feasible to be tested on a limited and broad basis. Based on the limited trial results and broadly obtained from the results of the questionnaire for each item number> 50%. To sum up,  that this android-based mathematics application media is suitable for independent learning wherever and whenever

Abstract

This study aims to determine the statistical thinking skills of mathematics students and their differences based on gender, school origin, and semester level. To map the statistical thinking skills using the modified Artist test standards. The development of students' statistical thinking skills is one of the focuses of learning mathematics in Higher Education. Students' statistical thinking ability is absolutely necessary to be able to think scientifically. Statistical thinking is the ability to think inductively. The population in this study were all mathematics students, while the sampling was based on proportional random sampling. The data analysis technique uses the t-test, Anova, and Least Significance Difference (LSD) as a follow-up test. Based on the results of the analysis carried out, it was found that students 'statistical thinking skills were classified as low which was below the value of 60 on a scale of 100. These results indicated that students' statistical thinking skills were still low, especially the ability to communicate data and draw conclusions. Another result shows that there is a difference in the ability to think statistically at the semester level, while there is no difference between sex and school origin. For semesters, third-semester students do better than other semesters
