Abstract

Teachers tend to have less knowledge in the conceptualization of multicultural education. This study aims to determine teacher perceptions of religion-based multicultural education in integrated Islamic elementary school Iqra, Serang city. This study used a qualitative descriptive research method by collecting data through observation and interviews with teachers at the Islamic elementary school integrated Iqra, Serang city. In this study, it is revealed that multicultural education is implemented integrated in several subjects such as PPKn and Indonesian. This study recommends that multicultural education should be part of the curriculum in education. Teachers need to be given training on the implementation of multicultural education to provide teachers with an understanding of the practice of multicultural education in religion-based schools.

Abstract

Kemampuan membaca lancar siswa dalam pembelajaran BahasaIndonesia masih rendah di II MI Manbaul Hikmat Desa Padasuka Kec.Petir. Hal ini disebabkan kurangnya minat dan motivasi siswa dalammembaca, dan guru pun belum memanfaatkan media dalampembelajaran. sehingga mengakibatkan kemampaun membacanya masihrendah. Siswa kelas II MI Manbaul Hikmat Desa Padasuka Kec. Petirdengan menggunakan media Big Book. Metode penelitian yang digunakandalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), yangdilaksanakan dua siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penggunaanmedia Big Book dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca lancar siswakelas II MI Manbaul Hikmat dari segi aktivitas siswa dalam prosespembelajaran maupun hasil siswa mengenai kemampuan membaca lancarsiswa. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari persentase pada siklus I, ketuntasanaktivitas siswa sebesar 67%, aktivitas guru 80%, dan hasil siswa mengenaikemampuan membaca lancar 50%. Kemudian mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II ketuntasan aktivitas siswa sebesar 80%, aktivitas gurusebesar 80,35% dan hasil siswa mengenai kemampuan membaca lancar75%.

Abstract

This development research was motivated by obstacles to children's fine motor developmentand the limitations of innovative elearning media in schools. This study aims to developand test the feasibility and effectiveness of the Lacing Cardeducation algame media for early childhood. Using the Research and Development (R & D) method with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation), this study involved 15 children aged 4 – 5 years at RA Bina Al Kautsar, West Jakarta. Data were collected through expert validation, performance observation, and interviews. The result sof the validation test showed that the Lacing Card media was categorized as Very Feasible with a score range of 3,80 – 4,00. Empirically, this media has been proven effective in improving children's fine motor skills, as seen from the increase in the average score from 2,30 (Beginning to Develop) at the initial meeting to 3,74 (Developing Very Well) at the final meeting. Significant improvements were recorded in the indicators of independence and accuracy of eye –hand coordination. Teacher responses confirmed that this media is practical and effective as a fine motor stimulation tool. It can be concluded that Lacing Cardis a feasible and optimal learning media for stimulating fine motor development in early childhood.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the partnership between parents and teachers in building Clean and Healthy Behavior (PHBS) for early childhood aged 5 - 6 years at RA Al-Izzah, Serang City. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection methods through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects included the principal, one Class B teacher, and five parents, with details of three boys and two girls. The study focused on forms of partnership between parents and teachers in educating children to apply clean and healthy behaviors, such as washing hands with soap, maintaining personal and environmental hygiene, consuming nutritious food, and getting used to light exercise. The results show that the partnership between parents and teachers at RA Al-Izzah has run well and effectively, as reflected in the active involvement of parents in school activities, intensive communication between teachers and parents, as well as the consistent habituation of clean and healthy behavior at school and at home. Nevertheless, there are still some obstacles, such as the lack of motivation of some children and limitations of certain infrastructure. Overall, this partnership contributes significantly to increasing children's awareness of the importance of personal and environmental hygiene as part of character building for health from an early age.
