Abstract

This article focuses on the teacher’s strategies in getting the students’ attention during transition. Since students could not proceed classroom activities without paying attention to the teacher’s instruction, various strategies in getting the students’ attention are necessary. This study employed a qualitative research method, particularly a case study design. The data were collected through five observations and two interviews. The participants of this study were an English teacher and a class of third grade students in a state elementary school in Bandung. The findings revealed that the teacher used desisting, chant, sound, clapping and singing a song in getting students’ attention.  Keywords:Transitional strategies, classroom management

Abstract

The aim of the study was to identify the motivations for involvement of members of the Parumasaan rural community in Serang District in visiting Posyandu. Such studies are useful in broadening the horizons of early childhood development in rural areas in addition to disseminating the benefits for community-based early childhood education through Posyandu. Qualitative research methods are the main instrument with observation, interviews and documentation. The interviews were mainly addressed to the visitors from women. The results of the activities show that there are many Posyandu activities and programs that have an impact on the knowledge of visitors in caring for early childhood, whether received directly from the organizers or discussions with fellow mothers. Such knowledge can change people's mindset about nutrition and child development from an early age

Abstract

Abstrak. Lamanya jangka waktu belajar daring di rumah yang disebabkan oleh pamdemi virus corona menyebabkan kekhawatiran adanya learning loss atau berkurangnya pengetahuan dan juga keterampilan belajar anak (Andriani, dkk., 2021). Selain itu, dikhawatirkan juga akan adanya kehilangan dalam pendidikan nilai moral dan karakter (character loss) anak yang merupakan salah satu tujuan pendidikan (UU No. 20 Tahun 2003). Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui metode dan penerapan pendidikan nilai moral dan karakter yang dilakukan oleh Guru Kelas 1 di salah satu sekolah dasar di Kota Serang. Metode yang diterapkan pada penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa Guru menerapkan beberapa metode dalam pendidikan nilai moral dan karakter seperti penerapan peraturan kelas daring, penerapan peraturan ketika beristirahat, pembiasaan berdoa, pemberian hadis dan kata- kata bijak dan pemberian dorongan (encouragement). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah, perlunya kerjasama antara Guru dan orang tua dalam mengawasi penerapan dari pendidikan nilai moral dan karakter tersebut di rumah. Kata kunci: Pendidikan Nilai Moral, Pendidikan Karakter, Pembelajaran Daring Abstract. The long duration of online learning at home caused by the corona virus pandemic raises concerns about learning loss or reduced knowledge and learning skills of children (Andriani et al., 2021). In addition, it is also feared that there will be a loss in the education of children's moral values ​​and character which is one of the goals of education (Law No. 20 of 2003). This study was conducted to determine the method and application of moral values ​​and character education conducted by Class 1 teacher at an Elementary School in Serang City. The method applied in this research is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The results of this study indicate that the teacher applies several methods in the education of moral values ​​and character such as the application of online class rules, the application of rules before break time, the habit of praying, giving hadith and words of wisdom and giving encouragement by the teachers. The conclusion of this study is the need for cooperation between teachers and parents in supervising the implementation of moral values ​​and character education at home.

Abstract

Exploring the implementation of an early childhood friendly school environment at the al-Husan KB is the main priority in this research. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods by means of observation, interviews, documentation, and data triangulation as data collection techniques. The results are: 1) Al-Husna's child-friendly environment is able to provide facilities and infrastructure that can meet the needs of children to grow and develop without any obstacles, feeling safe and comfortable. A child-friendly environment is a place that can support children's rights being fulfilled without any obstacles or threats. The inhibiting factor for its implementation is that parental intervention, which is allowed to wait in the school environment, means that children often have difficulty moving around to play at the yard.

Abstract

The MBKM (Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka) curriculum aims to improve higher education institutions' ability to produce graduates ready to face challenges in modern technology, science, and society. This study aims to evaluate the MBKM undergraduate Islamic Early Childhood Education (PIAUD) curriculum, focusing on its alignment with the needs of Raudatul Atfal (RA) institutions. Questionnaires were distributed to selected RA institutions using a comprehensive evaluation process. Most of the feedback indicated that the curriculum met professional standards very well, although there were some differences of opinion. A thorough analysis of the responses showed that most stakeholders appreciated the benefits of the curriculum but noted some inconsistencies in its relevance and pointed out areas for improvement. The curriculum aligns with industry expectations and can serve as a model for other programs. The study confirms its effectiveness and provides insights for education policymakers adapting to changing industry standards.

Abstract

Salah satu kompetensi yang harus dimiliki oleh guru agar menghasilkan anak yang berkualitas adalah kompetensi pedagogik, yang mana salah satu aspeknya yaitu guru mampu melakukan perencanaan pembelajaran, melakukan pengajaran dan penilaian sesuai dengan karakteristik dan kebutuhan anak. Penelitian ini dilakukan karena hasil studi pendahuluan yang menunjukan bahwa penguasaan mengajar kosakata guru belum optimal dan guru perlu dikembangkan dan ditingkatkan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan penguasaan mengajar kosakata guru menggunakan metode coaching. Penelitian ini adalah sebuah penelitian tindakan kolaboratif yang dilakukan disebuah sekolah taman kanak- kanak bilingual di Kota Bandung yang melibatkan seorang guru kelas TK A. Data pada penelitian ini didapatkan lewat wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Setelah proses coaching dilakukan guru mampu untuk melakukan perencanaan dan persiapan pembelajaran, menggunakan flashcards sebagai media mengajar kosakata dan menerapkan permainan dalam pembelajaran.
