Abstract

This study aims to determine the partnership between parents and teachers in building Clean and Healthy Behavior (PHBS) for early childhood aged 5 - 6 years at RA Al-Izzah, Serang City. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection methods through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects included the principal, one Class B teacher, and five parents, with details of three boys and two girls. The study focused on forms of partnership between parents and teachers in educating children to apply clean and healthy behaviors, such as washing hands with soap, maintaining personal and environmental hygiene, consuming nutritious food, and getting used to light exercise. The results show that the partnership between parents and teachers at RA Al-Izzah has run well and effectively, as reflected in the active involvement of parents in school activities, intensive communication between teachers and parents, as well as the consistent habituation of clean and healthy behavior at school and at home. Nevertheless, there are still some obstacles, such as the lack of motivation of some children and limitations of certain infrastructure. Overall, this partnership contributes significantly to increasing children's awareness of the importance of personal and environmental hygiene as part of character building for health from an early age.

Abstract

Creativity is one of the important aspects that need to be developed from anearly age as a provision for children to face challenges in the digital era. TheSTEAM (Science,Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) learningmodel integrated with loose parts materials offers an innovative approach indeveloping children's creativity. This study aims to describe the applicationof the STEAM learning model using loose parts and analyze its influence on the development of early childhood creativity in KOBER Az-Zaitun, SerangCity. The research method used isa qualitative research method with researchsubjects group A aged 3-5 years and totaling 12 children. Data collectiontechniques were carried out through observation, interviews, anddocumentation. The research instrument used an observation sheet for thedevelopment of creativity that includes aspects of fluency, flexibility,originality, and elaboration. The results of the study indicate that theapplication of the STEAM learning model using loose parts can significantlydevelop early childhood creativity. Children showed improvements indivergent thinking, problem-solving, exploration, and expression of originalideas through various STEAM activities that utilize loose materials such aswooden blocks, used bottles, patterned plywood, etc.). Child-centeredlearning and providing freedom to explore encourage children to be moredaring in trying, experimenting, and expressing their imagination. Thisresearch provides a practical contribution for PAUD educators inimplementing innovative and fun learning to optimize the development ofearly childhood creativity.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the habitual practice of infaq and sodaqoh as a means of instilling empathy in early childhood at TK Nurul Iman, Carenang District, Serang Regency. A descriptive qualitative approach was used, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving the principal, teachers, parents, and children. The findings show that empathy among children aged 4–5 years developed progressively, although not uniformly. Children began to demonstrate caring behaviors through sharing food, lending learning materials, helping friends, and participating in infaq and sodaqoh activities. Infaq was routinely conducted every Friday, while sodaqoh was practiced through sharing food, belongings, and assistance with people in need. Teachers strengthened the habit through modeling, reinforcement, praise, and guidance, while parents supported its continuity at home. The consistency of the activities and children's direct experience of giving were important in developing social awareness. The study indicates that habitual infaq and sodaqoh can integrate religious and social-emotional values in early childhood education.
