Abstract

Nursing vocational education is an education that emphasizes the competence or performance of certain skills, which is supported by good attitudes and behavior and extensive knowledge of the area of expertise. So that later they can carry out the task of providing health services in accordance with community expectations. To get high skills during clinical learning it is necessary to apply a learning theory model that allows students to achieve these skills and skills. The implementation of the behavioral theory according to the author is a model theory that allows it to achieve the objectives of learning clinical practice based on competence. The emphasis on behavioral theory focuses on changing the mindset and behavior of a person, in this case, students will imitate or model the model. Learners learn by imitating the correct practices and then doing the same actions and doing so many repetitions. Students who are required to carry out a practicum program for 3 weeks with a duration of 18 days by practicing as many as 75 times the same actions, for example taking action in the form of a physical examination with all the right techniques and methods in different patients, can be ascertained students become teachers/proficient in need, and good attitude. Abstract

The communication method of Situation, Background, Assessment, and Recommendation (SBAR) are effective communication techniques that aim to improve patient safety. This study aims to analyze the application of SBAR communication to nurses to improve the safety culture of patients who are part of the service at A.W. Sjahranie Hospital, Samarinda, Indonesia. This study used a cross-sectional design with a population of 452 people spread over 14 service units. The sample size was 77 people. Variables in this study were SBAR communication methods and patient safety culture. The instrument used to assess the application was the SBAR communication method in the form of an observation sheet for the procedure for reporting patients' conditions during handover while collecting data on variable patient safety culture used a questionnaire from the agency for Healthcare Research Quality (AHRQ). Data of SBAR communication technique variables were collected using the observation method, while the patient safety culture variable was collected by distributing patient safety culture questionnaires. Data were analyzed using a Chi-Square test. The results of this study showed that nurses who used the SBAR communication method had a better patient safety culture (p = 0.000). The conclusion is the SBAR communication method to nurses can use to improve patient safety culture in the hospital. Keywords: SBAR communication method, Patient safety culture

Abstract

The important factor affecting patients’ treatment and safety service quality is patients’ safety culture. This research aimed to identify the most effective strategy to develop the patients’ safety culture to prevent nursing error in the highest referral hospital in East Kalimantan Province. This research is a mix method. The population in this study were all nurses in the inpatient room totaling 342 people and a sample of 119 people obtained by proportional random sampling. In quantitative research, data were obtained using questionnaires and then analyzed using multiple linear regression. While qualitative data were obtained through in-depth interviews with 3 informants, namely the implementing nurse, the head of the inpatient room and the chairman of the patient safety committee. The results of the analysis show that there are two environmental factors that influence patient safety culture, namely lifesaving control (p value = 0.002) and patient safety (p value = 0.041). Through in-depth interviews, it is known that individual, organizational, and environmental factors are effective in developing a patient safety culture.Keywords: strategy; development; patients safety culture

Abstract

Keselamatan pasien di Puskesmas merupakan salah satu prioritas utama dalam memberikan pelayanan kepada pasien salah satunya melalui penerapan tujuh langkah menuju keselamatan pasien. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengevaluasi pelaksanaan tujuh langkah menuju keselamatan pasien. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dilaksanakan di Puskesmas Loa Kulu Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara pada bulan Januari-Maret 2020. Informan yang terlibat sebanyak lima orang terdiri dari dua orang unsur manajemen yaitu pimpinan Puskesmas dan ketua tim keselamatan pasien dan tiga orang representasi dari koordinator unit pelayanan yaitu poli umum, poli Kesehatan Ibu dan Anak (KIA) dan farmasi. Hasil penelitian menggambarkan langkah pertama, budaya keselamatan; dan  kedua, manajemen kepemimpinan telah dilaksanakan secara optimal; sedangkan ketiga, pengelolaan risiko;  keempat, sistem pelaporan;  kelima, berkomunikasi dengan pasien dan masyarakat;  keenam, belajar dan berbagi tentang pembelajaran keselamatan; dan  ketujuh, implementasi solusi dalam mencegah cedera belum dilaksanakan secara optimal. Puskesmas dapat meningkatkan staf yang memahami keselamatan pasien dan melakukan kaji banding dengan Puskesmas yang telah menerapkan program keselamatan pasien dengan baik.

Abstract

Kualitas pelayanan kesehatan dasar Puskesmas menjadi prioritas dalam isu transformasi pelayanan kesehatan dan mendukung ketercapaian Standar Pelayanan Minimal (SPM) bidang kesehatan di Kabupaten/Kota. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan kualitas pelayanan terhadap kepuasan pasien di Puskesmas Tanah Grogot Tahun 2020. Penelitian ini adalah analitik observasional dengan pendekatan cross- sectional. Sebanyak 98 pasien yang berobat lebih dari sekali dijadikan sebagai sampel. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara purposive. Variabel penelitian adalah kualitas pelayanan dan kepuasan pasien yang diukur berdasarkan skala Likert. Sebanyak 57,1% pasien menyatakan puas terhadap pelayanan yang diberikan dan 82,4% pasien menyatakan kualitas pelayanan baik.Berdasarkan hasil uji statistik chi square tidak terdapat hubungan kualitas pelayanan terhadap kepuasaan pasien di Puskesmas Tanah Grogot dengan nilai p (sig) sebesar 0,130. Kepuasan pasien bersifat dinamis, oleh karenanya pemantauan tingkat kepuasan pasien harus selalu dilakukan secara berkala dan informasi keluhan yang disampaikan oleh pasien harus ditindak lanjuti dengan baik.

Abstract

Not a few Covid-19 patients have died while undergoing self-isolation (isoman) at home. According to data obtained from the Sempaja Timur Village, there were 533 patients who underwent isomanism and 15 of them died. Lack of assistance while undergoing isoman causes the patient's condition to worsen and end in death. This community service aims to increase the knowledge of isoman patient companion volunteers with the hope that the safety of isoman patients in Sempaja Timur Village can be improved. This activity was attended by 20 volunteers who were chosen by the head of the RT in Sempaja Timur Village. The method used consists of four stages, namely the stage of situation analysis, planning, preparation and implementation. The assessment instrument uses a questionnaire. The training materials include information about Covid-19 including case tracking, volunteer protocol and isoman protocol. The results of the evaluation showed the average value of pretest knowledge was 67 (SD 10,848) and the average posttest score was 79,20 (SD 7,797). Thus there is an increase in volunteer knowledge after training by 12.20. Suggestion: Volunteer training needs to be carried out on an ongoing basis including post-covid handling so that symptoms that arise after recovering from covid can be detected and treated immediately.   ABSTRAK Tidak sedikit pasien Covid-19 meninggal dunia saat menjalani isolasi mandiri (isoman) di rumah. Menurut data yang diperoleh dari Kelurahan Sempaja Timur terdapat 533 pasien yang menjalani isoman dan 15 orang diantaranya meninggal dunia. Kurangnya pendampingan saat menjalani isoman menyebabkan kondisi pasien yang semakin memburuk dan berakhir dengan kematian. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan relawan pendamping pasien isoman dengan harapan keselamatan pasien isoman di Kelurahan Sempaja Timur dapat di tingkatkan. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 20 orang relawan yang dipilih oleh ketua RT di Kelurahan Sempaja Timur. Metode yang digunakan terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu tahap analisis situasi, perencanaan, persiapan dan pelaksanaan. Instrument penilaian menggunakan kuesioner. Materi pelatihan meliputi informasi tentang Covid-19 termasuk pelacakan kasus, protokol relawan dan protokol isoman. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan   nilai rata-rata pengetahuan pretest adalah 67 (SD 10,848) dan rata-rata nilai posttest adalah 79,20 (SD 7,797). Dengan demikian terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan relawan relawan setelah pelatihan sebesar 12,20. Saran: Pelatihan relawan perlu dilakukan secara berkesinambungan termasuk penanganan pasca covid agar gejala-gejala yang timbul setelah sembuh dari covid dapat segera terdeteksi dan dapat segera ditangani.

Abstract

There are various factors that cause incomplete documentation of nursing care, including the motivation and workload of nurses. This study aims to determine the relationship between motivation and workload of nurses with the completeness of nursing care documentation in the inpatient room of RSUD Dr. Abdul Rivai Berau District. This research is quantitative with a cross sectional approach. the number of samples is 40 people, the sampling technique is total sampling. The instrument used was a Likert scale questionnaire. Data analysis techniques Univariate analysis with frequency distribution and bivariate analysis using the Fisher's exact test. The results of the analysis found that motivation with the completeness of nursing care documentation had a p value = 0.394 (p => 0.05), and the workload of nurses with the completeness of nursing care documentation p value = 1.000 (p = > 0.05) . So it can be concluded that there is no relationship between motivation and workload of nurses with the completeness of nursing care documentation in the internal room of RSUD Dr. Abdul Rivai Berau District. It is expected that nurses can maintain the completeness of their nursing care documentation.

Abstract

The nurse coordinator is a manager who is directly related to nursing care activities and nursing management. Purpose This research was conducted to determine the relationship between the role of the nurse coordinator and the performance of nurses at the puskesmas. This type of quantitative research with a descriptive correlation research design using a cross sectional approach. The results of the research on the role of nurse coordinator based on this study showed a good planning role of 93.5%, an organizing role of 51.6%, a directing role good by 87.1%, and a good supervisory role by 77.4%. The results of the analysis of the relationship between the role of the nurse coordinator and the performance of nurses obtained a p value of 0.015 (p <0.05). The conclusion of this study is that the role of a good nurse coordinator can improve the performance of nurses at the puskesmas.
