The composition is such as carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins and water. Sometimes the important nutrient loses because of contaminated by environmental factors. Other factors that influence the quality of goat milk of Etawa are the udder, feces, water, soil, dust, handling breeder/milker, equipment, and air. The most common of contaminant is bacteria, particularly Escherichia coli. The aim of this study is to determine the association of personal hygiene and sanitation milker with the contamination of Escherichia coli in fresh goat milk Etawa in Boyong Hargobinangun Village Pakem Sleman, Yogyakarta Province. Methods: This was a quantitative cross-sectional study. The sampling method used technique purposive sampling by using inclusion and exclusion criteria. Totally 34 cow milker interviewed and the milk sample tested in laboratory. Results: 15 of 34 milker did not practice good personal hygiene (44.1%); 15 of 34 milker did not have good sanitation. Laboratory test revealed 13 of 34 milk sample contaminated by Escherichia coli (+), and the rest were (-). Result of Chi-square test presented that personal hygiene of milker statistically associated with contamination of Escherichia coli (p-value = 0.049) and sanitation did not associate with contamination of Escherichia coli (p-value = 0.867). Conclusion: Personal hygiene of milker associated to contamination of Escherichia coli in fresh goat milk Etawa in the Boyong Hargobinangun village, Pakem Sleman in 2017. Abstract

Background: Orange juice is a popular drink in terms of taste, aroma, and price. However, if the behavior of the drink handler and environmental hygiene sanitation does not meet the requirements, it will allow the beverage to be contaminated with E. coli bacteria which can cause health problems. This study aimed to examine the relationship between behavior and angkringan sanitation with the existence of E. coli bacteria on orange juice in angkringan around Malioboro area of Yogyakarta City. Methods: This was observational analytic study with cross sectional time frame. The research samples were the angkringan reseller in Malioboro Region, amounting to 40 samples, 40 samples of orange juice and 40 samples of ice cubes. Data analysis used univariate analysis and bivariate analysis with Fisher statistical test. Results: The results of univariate analysis showed the good behavior of drink handler by 60%, good sanitation angkringan as much as 52.5%, 75% of ice cubes and 80% of the qualified or was found negative based on laboratory test in orange juice. The result of bivariate analysis, there was a relationship between the behavior of the drink handler with the presence of E. coli p = 0.042. There was no relationship between sanitation angkringan with the presence of E. coli p = 0.442. There was no relationship between the presence of E. coli on ice cubes and E. coli in orange ice p-value = 0.089. Conclusion: There was no correlation between sanitation of angkringan and the presence of E. coli on ice cubes and E. coli on orange juice. There was a relationship between the behavior of the beverage processor and the presence of E. coli on orange juice. Keywords: E. coli, Behavior, Sanitation of angkringan

Washing and cleaning utensils are very important in food processing and inseparable part of the principles of food preservation. The use of cutlery that is determined or determined by the Ministry of Health in 2004 is the total number of tableware germ that is ≤ 100 colonies / cm2 from the surface of the equipment being examined. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and management of eating utensils with the number of germs counts in toddler cutlery in Blawong I Sub-village, Bantul. Methods: The type of this research is analytic observational research with laboratory tests and cross-sectional research designs. The sampling technique used in the study is probability samples or random samples. The sample in this study were mothers who have children under five in Blawong I Sub-village, Bantul. The research instrument used was a laboratory test and a research questionnaire. Data analysis used univariate and bivariate analysis and the Fisher's Exact Test as an alternative test. Results: There was found the relationship between the level of knowledge with the number of germs in the tableware of Blawong I Bantul sub-village with a value of p = 0.011 (

School-age is a golden period to instill the values of clean and healthy life behavior (PHBS), so it has the potential as an agent of change to promote within the school, family and community. The function of the school is also a place of learning that can be a threat of disease transmission if not managed properly. Besides, school-age for children is also a vulnerable period for various diseases. The aim of this study was to determine the association between knowledge, attitude and role of teacher with the implementation of PHBS in the school. This study used observational quantitative research by using a cross-sectional approach. The research subjects were 58 students in fourth and fifth grade from elementary school number 1 East Kuripan West Lombok which selected by using total sampling. That school was selected because it has the lowest scope in terms of implementation of PHBS. The instrument used was a questionnaire in the checklist form which consisted of 19 questions about knowledge, 15 questions about attitude, 13 questions about the role of teacher, and 11 questions about the implementation of PHBS. Each variable was categorized into good category if the correct answers was covered >70 % out of total score, and vice versa. Data analysis performed by Chi-square. The results of the bivariate analysis revealed that knowledge and attitude were significantly associated with implementation of PHBS behavior. The role of the teacher did not have any association with implementation of PHBS among fourth and fifth grade elementary school students’ number 1 East Kuripan. It can be concluded that the implementation of PHBS in Elementary School Number 1 was influenced by student’s knowledge and attitude.
