Abstract

Masalah kedaulatan ekonomi sudah berkembang demikian kompleks terkait perkembangan di akhir Abad XX dengan kedigdayaan pasar, kebangkitan rezim perdagangan dan kerjasama supranasional di Amerika, Eropa, Asia Tenggara, dan Asia Timur, serta proses desentralisasi dan peraturan-peraturan hukum nasional berhadapan dengan tren yang ada. Dalam khazanah arti mengenai kedaulatan ekonomi itulah Frans Seda mengajukan pemikirannya tentang perlunya campurtangan Negara dalam pasar yang didasari oleh visi tentang manusia, peran masyarakat, dan kesejahteraan umum. Keyakinan itulah yang dipercaya akan menghasilkan hubungan harmonis antara pasar, Negara, dan masyarakat tanpa mengabaikan salah satu.

Abstract

To develop organizational culture in Catholic universities in Indonesia by applying core values raises the question of its eff ectiveness. Departing from Richard P. Nielson’s theory of cultural learning action and phenomenological refl ection on the results of the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and KII this article explains that the organizational culture of Catholic university in Indonesia is based on a Catholic spirituality which is supported by hierarchical leadership. Th e development of an organizational culture that relies on the participation of community members still relies on such hierarchical leadership as moral exemplars.

Abstract

Salah satu strategi komunikasi pemasaran digital produk dan jasa UMKM adalah melalui penggunaan jejaring media sosial. Strategi ini membutuhkan suatu kerangka kerja yang terpadu yang melibatkan setiap unsur dalam setiap pemangku kepentingan yang terlibat di dalamnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari faktor-faktor penting yang berperan dalam rekomendasi strategi tersebut, di antaranya faktor-faktor sosio-psikologis, faktor kredibilitas dan faktor penerimaan/adopsi terhadap penggunaan teknologi baru. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa beberapa faktor sosio-psikologis memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap arah pengembangan strategi komunikasi pemasaran terpadu produk dan jasa UMKM Indonesia di masa yang akan datang. Hal ini akan mendorong peran kaum muda (milenial) Indonesia dalam pengembangan industri kreatif dalam dunia ekonomi berbasis tekonologi digital.

Abstract

The phrase of “the knowledge based economy” has become one of our main questionings in our universities nowdays. With its basic assumption that science can be placed as a commodity that has its own price in the market place, this ideology pushes the concept of the culture of science out of the focus of the university. If before, science played its role as an important clue in the proccess of higher education, now this focus has been turned aside for the sake of money. This background invites us to think more and more about the idea of university. Instead of following the logic of market, this article tries to focus on the eros or the drives to learn as a fundamental nature of university as a community of explorers. The purpose of university is to have the intellectual excellence, to grow in the important truth and to serve the human and the nature.

Abstract

Globalization, as Anthony Giddens defines it, denotes a shift in the spatial form of human organization and activity to transcontinental or inter-regional patterns of activity, interaction and exercise of power. Under the spirit of capitalism, it can destroy our jobs, hollow out the decision-making power of government, and even threaten the nation-state as the nub of our kind of democracy. Critics of globalization worry about the inability of governments to set their own economic policies. They also worry about the increased power of financial markets to cause economic havoc. Looking at the ethical proposal to this problematic context, this article proposes that we move from an ethical study of the rational foundations of moral norms to a political reflection on the democratic construction of social norms. In such democratic construction, the plurality of views of life will be protected against overweening global capitalism. Kata-kata kunci: Globalisasi, kapitalisme, etika, demokrasi
