Abstract

The objectives of this study are (1) to get description the family needs of the Outer Baduy Community, (2) to analyze factors that influence the perception of Outer Baduy Community towards the needs of their families; and (3) To get tentative model of Planned Changes, such as intervention, and things that need to be intervened to fulfill the needs of Outer Baduy Community’s Family. (4) Social Interaction through interpersonal communication and with the agent of change had significant relation to the perception of Heads of family on basic needs, safety, loved, and appreciated are felt, and the perception towards the satisfaction on safety, loved, and appreciated; To develop strategy and policy in fulfilling the needs of SCC family of Baduy can be created through the enhancement of standard family’s needs by making a centre of business practice, discussion forum (community information group), escalation of business facility, community participation, the support by opinion leader in Baduy community, private support, and the motive and the awareness to change is high.Key words: community of baduy custom, perception, fulfillment of family needs.

Abstract

Salah satu strategi komunikasi pemasaran digital produk dan jasa UMKM adalah melalui penggunaan jejaring media sosial. Strategi ini membutuhkan suatu kerangka kerja yang terpadu yang melibatkan setiap unsur dalam setiap pemangku kepentingan yang terlibat di dalamnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari faktor-faktor penting yang berperan dalam rekomendasi strategi tersebut, di antaranya faktor-faktor sosio-psikologis, faktor kredibilitas dan faktor penerimaan/adopsi terhadap penggunaan teknologi baru. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa beberapa faktor sosio-psikologis memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap arah pengembangan strategi komunikasi pemasaran terpadu produk dan jasa UMKM Indonesia di masa yang akan datang. Hal ini akan mendorong peran kaum muda (milenial) Indonesia dalam pengembangan industri kreatif dalam dunia ekonomi berbasis tekonologi digital.

Abstract

This research discusses how to manage roads and bridges in public services. This study aims to analyze the performance of road and bridge construction in public services at the Banten Provincial Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) Office in 2017. The theory used in this study discusses the performance appraisal model according to Dwiyanto in pasolong (2010: 178), quality service, Responsiveness, Responsibility, and Accountability. The research method used is qualitative. Data collection techniques used were interviews and documentation. The results of this study are that the performance of the Banten Province PUPR Service can be approved quite well about there are several developments on roads and bridges such as the failure of development and delays, the work carried out is in accordance with the vision and mission of the organization. The Banten Provincial PUPR Office tried to respond in the settlement of the community lawsuit, the compilation of development planning responses was made, the construction and maintenance of the road and development was carried out according to the budget and carried out in stages. Factors that hamper performance such as facilities and infrastructure that are still lacking such as heavy equipment in the construction / maintenance of roads and bridges if used in time related to activities that can help and slow down materials, amount and quality of human resources in terms of PUPR service staff or service providers, people's perceptions of consistency, and natural nature. The efforts of the PUPR Service to improve community licensing in managing roads and bridges Speed up the arrival of material stocks, increase the number of heavy equipment, improve the quality and advantages of human resources, and implement E-Government by improving the SIAP PUPR application system that is available for community needs in response to complaints / complaint. Kata Kunci : Kinerja, Pengelolaan jalan dan jembatan, Pelayanan publik.

Abstract

Abstrak;Tulisan  ini memaparkan  bagaimana  pengaruh  teknologi  komunikasi  berpengaruh  padakehidupan sosial dan budaya masyarakat. Kini sebuah raksasa budaya dengan rakus menelan budaya-budaya  lokal  di  seluruh  bumi.  Keragaman  kultural  telah  didesak  oleh  standarisasi kultural yang dilahirkan industrialisme. Telah terjadi budaya baru. Dalam budaya baru yang memerintah bukan Raja atau kepala suku, tetapi teknologi mengatur hidup dan mati anda sejak makan, minum, sampai sehat dan sekarat. Teknologi informasi sebagai bagian dari teknosfer akan mewarnai infosfer-yakni,  budaya pertukaran  informasi, pada akhirnya akan membentuk dan mengubah sosiosfer-yakni norma-norma sosial, pola-pola interaksi, dan organisasi sosial kemasyarakatan.  Saat  ini  kebebasan  menyampaikan  pendapat  dan  mengekspresikan  hampir tidak  melihat  etika,  khususnya  para  pengguna  media  sosial  dan  media  on  line.  Siapakah manusia  yang  memperoleh  kebebasan  murni dan menafikan  tanggung  jawab?  Pasti  seorang tiran. Bila anda  tiran anda dapat melakukan  apapun  yang anda  kehendaki  semaunya  tanpa batas, kecuali bertanggung  jawab. Kita dapat menyanjung  atau memaki tanpa digugat siapa pun. Anda dapat memenuhi hak apapun kecuali hak orang lain. Menurut Ibn Khaldun bahwa komunikasi yang didasarkan pada etika merupakan suatu jaringan masyarakat yang manusiawi, dan mengalirnya komunikasi seperti itu, menentukan arah dan laju perkembangan sosial yang dinamis.

Abstract

Tulisan tentang kefektifan film sebagai media yang dapat membangun kultur tradisi baik postif maupun negatif. Film, dalam posisinya sebagai media, adalah sebuah media yang, selain menghubungkan dan menjadi perantara bagi sebuah realita (s), juga menjadi pembentuk realita baru serta pemberi makna bagi realita tersebut.Melvin DeFleur dalam Teori Norma Budaya, media menawarkan norma budaya, mampu mengubah norma tradisi masyarakat, ekstrimnya mengganti norma budaya yang ada. Seperti halnya koran, televisi, ataupun media lainnya, posisi film sebagai media di masyarakat cukup kuat. Sebagai media yang bersifat dua arah, film dapat membuat masyarakat bertanya-tanya tentang sebuah realita yang ditampilkan. Margaret R. Miles dalam bukunya Seeing and Believing: Religion and Values in The Movies dalam balutan hiburan, film dapat membuat masyarakat bertanya, menegosiasikan, serta melawan nilai dan budaya yang sudah dipercayai di masyarakat.

Abstract

Tulisan ini menjelaskan pentingnya pemahaman terhadap masyarakat dan kebudayaan sebelum sebuah kebijakan pembangunan diputuskan. Kebijakan pembangunan memang untuk memperbaiki taraf hidup dan kesejahteraan manusia, hanya sayang dalam hal ini sering lupa memperhatikan manusia manakah yang dimaksud. Dalam lingkup Indonesia dengan berbagai kebudayaan dan etnik masalah ini menjadi penting diperhatikan. Tidak sedikit sebuah kebijakan pembangunan diambil dengan tidak memperhatikan kebutuhan dan budaya masyarakat tidak optimal manfaat dan dirasakan langsung oleh masyarakat. Karena itu, persoalan pembangunan untuk siapa menjadi sangat penting diperhatikan, artinya, kita tidak dapat menggunakan ukuran yang ada pada sistem nilai kita saja, yang biasa menjadi penentu ukuran penentu kebijakan itu. Dengan pemahaman ini kebijakan pembangunan dapat ditentukan dari pandangan atau pemikiran yang ada pada masyarakatnya, sehingga langkah yang akan ditentukan itu mengikuti realitas budaya yang dihadapi masyarakat. Salah satu pendekatan dan riset yang dapat menjawab permasalahan tersebut adalah etnografi komunikasi, karena berupaya mengkonstruksi tradisi dan pola komunikasi dalam suatu etnik atau komunitas tertentu.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to measure the level of community participation, analyze communication patterns, and formulate communication strategies and communication innovation patterns to increase community participation in tourism activities. Research methods: The level of community participation was measured by structured interviews and questionnaire instruments and analyzed using the IBM SPSS Statistics 26 with Arnstein's participation typology. Communication patterns and communication strategies to increase participation were obtained through focus group discussions (FGD) with Penyengat Island tourism stakeholders and in-depth interviews with respondents and key informants. Results and discussion: The results of this study indicate that community participation in tourism activities is found in participation in Pokdarwis activities, training and capacity building for business actors, as well as monitoring and evaluation of tourism activities. The typology of participation is in the manipulative category, with a lack of community participation in planning activities and tending to only be executors of government programs. Implication: The communication pattern applied is only limited to linear communication with no reciprocity from the communicator to the communicant, so a participatory communication strategy is needed that allows circular communication to increase community participation in tourism activities.   Keywords: Development Communication, Linear Communication, Tourism, Participation

Abstract

This research focuses on when the General Election Commission (KPU) issued KPU Regulation (PKPU) Number 20/2018 on the Nomination of Members of the House of Representatives, Provincial House of Representatives, and Regency/City Regional House of Representatives. This PKPU is the “PKPU on Candidates of Former Corruption Convicts." This regulation is controversial, causing polemics and dividing the community between the pros and cons. Various accusations were directed at the KPU, even accusations conveyed by the closest colleague, the Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu), which requested that the KPU obey higher regulations and ended in the Adjudication of Election Process Disputes. The peak of public distrust was the Judicial Review in the Supreme Court. Researchers use the Image Repair Theory to analyze an organization's response when its positive image and reputation are threatened. This research uses a postpositivist paradigm. Based on the research paradigm, the type and nature of this research are descriptive and qualitative. Data was collected using observation, interview, documentation, and literature study techniques. The results of the study showed that of the five crisis communication strategies, KPU used typologies, namely denial (simple denial, shift blame), evade responsibility (provocation, good intentions), and reduce offensiveness (bolstering, minimization, differentiation, transcendence, attack accuser). Four (4) typologies that are not used are defeasibility, accident, compensation, and mortification

Abstract

The Lebak Regency Government is trying to maximize it’s tourism potential by conducting various types of marketing communications. This is in line with the vision and mission of the Regent of Lebak who wants to make Lebak Regency a leading national tourist destination based on local potential. In the mids of budget constraints due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the government needs to know the most effective marketing communication tools to increase tourist visits in order to effectivelu use the budget. The purpose of this study was to find out the most effective marketing communication tool used by the Lebak Regency goverenment to attract domestic tourst destination in Lebak Regency. The research methode used is through path analysis testing with a cross-sectional research design on domestic tourist. From this research, it is know that the marketing communication tools that influence the interest in visiting domestic tourists are online marketing, word of mouth marketing, as well events and experiences.

Abstract

Rhetoric is an art of speaking used by someone to convey knowledge, information, and issues to public with the intention of building trust, so that the initial goal will be achieved. Rhetoric is a field that studies and delves into how to speak in a charming manner, so that the audience can understand and be captivated by the conversation. In other words, rhetoric is the science of the art of speaking. RESEARCH PURPOSES The aim is to determine the rhetorical style of doctors in conveying diagnoses of critical illnesses to patient families. and how physicians can modify their rhetorical styles to achieve better understanding and support of patients and their families. RESEARCH METHODS Mixed methods is an approach where researchers use both qualitative data (such as interviews, observations) and quantitative data (such as surveys, experiments) to answer research questions. By using mixed methods, researcher can gain a more complete and in-depth understanding of the issue or research problem, blending statistical accuracy with richer social or behavioral context. By combining quantitative data (which is objective and measurable) with qualitative data (which is objective and measurable), researchers can obtain a more comprehensive picture of the phenomenon being studied. RESULTS A doctor's rhetorical style, namely the way how the doctors communicate with patients, has a significant influence on the effectiveness of medical services. Good communication between doctors and patients is not just about conveying medical information, but also involves how the information is delivered so that the patient feels heard, appreciated and supported. Care for critical illnesses requires tight coordination between various specialists and medical disciplines to provide optimal and integrated care for patients. The goal is not only to prolong life but also to improve the quality of life of patients and their families. CONCLUSION The relationship between rhetorical style, Newcomb ABX Theory, and critical illness is closely related to effective communication in a medical context, especially in treating patients with serious health conditions. Each of these elements plays an important role in ensuring that medical information is delivered in a way that supports patient understanding, shared decisions, and emotional management
