Abstract

Abstract :This paper examines the right for women as imam prayer for men in the Quranic and Islamic jurisprudence (school of thouht) perspectives. Based on the mission of Quranic liberation, every man and woman has the right that can not be limited by gender status, because Alquran gives equal rights for each to worship and to be devout to God, including as an imam prayer for men. However, the four schools of fiqh (Hanafian, Malikian, Syafi'ian, and Hanabilan) expressed otherwise. They stated that woman should not to be as an imam prayer of men. Although small fraction of fuqaha permited that action, but the mainstrem of Islamic school of thought is more widely supported by the majority of Muslim community and at a time it  shackle them. The shackle is influenced by religious texts positioning women as root of slander. The factor is compounded by the historical fact that the interpretation of religious texts is merely dominated by men. Abstrak : Makalah ini membahas hak bagi perempuan sebagai imam shalat bagi laki-laki dalam hukum Quran dan Islam (sekolah thouht) perspektif. Berdasarkan misi pembebasan Quran, setiap pria dan wanita memiliki hak yang tidak dapat dibatasi oleh statusnya jenis kelamin, karena Alquran memberikan hak yang sama untuk masing-masing untuk menyembah dan menjadi taat kepada Allah, termasuk sebagai doa imam bagi laki-laki. Namun, empat sekolah fiqh (Hanafian, Malikian, Syafi'ian, dan Hanabilan) menyatakan sebaliknya. Mereka menyatakan bahwa wanita tidak seharusnya menjadi sebagai doa imam laki-laki. Meskipun sebagian kecil dari fuqaha permited tindakan itu, tapi mainstrem sekolah Islam pemikiran lebih luas didukung oleh sebagian besar masyarakat Muslim dan pada waktu itu membelenggu mereka. Belenggu dipengaruhi oleh teks-teks agama memposisikan perempuan sebagai akar fitnah. Faktor ini diperparah oleh fakta sejarah bahwa penafsiran teks-teks agama hanya didominasi oleh laki-laki.

Abstract

Tulisan ini mengkaji tentang epistemologi anarkisme Paul Feyerabend dalam studi tafsir al-Qur'an. Selama ini studi tafsir al-Qur'an telah berkembang sangat pesat sejak periode formatif, afirmatif hingga transformatif. Berbagai metode dan pendekatan telah lahir mengiringi. Perkembangan itu menunjukkan bahwa studi tafsir berjalan secara dinamis. Namun, sebagian menilai tafsir al-Qur'an telah selesai pasca generasi ketiga dalam Islam. Melalui prinsip Anything Goes yang digagas Feyerabend, metode dan pendekatan apapun yang ditawarkan untuk menafsirkan al-Qur'an dapat berjalan dan "berkontestasi" secara terbuka. Satu sisi, hal ini sangat positif bagi perkembangan ilmu tafsir dalam konteks kemajuan zaman. Namun di sisi lain, anarkisme dalam bidang ini dapat menimbulkan tafsir liar yang melahirkan problem bagi kemajuan peradaban, seperti lahirnya terorisme dalam Islam yang sering disandarkan pada ayat-ayat al-Qur'an sebagai sumber justifikasinya.

Abstract

Maqashid al-Qur'an is a new discourse in the study of the Qur'an. Scholars are still debating his position in the study of the science of Ulum al-Qur'?n. Is it a separate discipline or is it part of another science. Many interpretation products are not oriented to Maqashid and are only a repetition of the products of previous interpretations or contestation of interpretations of thought. Therefore, the main object of this study is to provide a deeper understanding of the study of Maqashid al-Qur'an and how to apply the Maqashidi interpretation of Wa?f?, an Egyptian cleric. This research is a qualitative research and library research with a sociology of knowledge approach. The primary data of this research are the works of Wa?f? and the results of interviews. According to Wa?fi, the purpose of the Qur'an is the realization of the purpose of the surah, verse, and theme in the Qur'an. He asserted that the Maqashid al-Qur'an consists of five parts: general and specific objectives (Maqashid '?mmah and Maqashid Kh???ah), the purpose of surahs, verses, words, and letters in the Qur'an and according to him Maqashidi interpretation apart from being one of the various interpretations independently, it also penetrates and integrates into all the various interpretations that exist. Maqashidi interpretation is a style, perspective, as well as a variety of interpretations. The idea is unique because of the exclusivity in the variety of Maqashid and the method in finding the Maqashsid of the Qur'an.

Abstract

Tafsir Falsafi (philosophical exegesis) is one of of the Islamic intellectual resource that have occupied the intellectualism of Muslim thinkers since the early period. However, the epistemological side of the interpretation model was problematic, as it creates controversy among the readers. Today, the controversy is still frequently found from some thinkers of the Quranic studies. This paper discusses Muhammad Husain al-Zahabi’s thoughts on philosophical interpretation. Utilized a library research, this paper uses content analysis method to analyze al-Zahabi's thoughts. This paper emphasizes that in al-Zahabi's works, especially in his book, al-Tafsir wa al-Mufassirun, he rejected philosophical interpretations which only make products of Greek philosophical thought as the main tools Quranic interpretation. Offered by Muslim philosophers such as al-Farabi, Ibn Sina and the Ikhwanus Shafa, It was considered by al-Zahabi to be very dangerous for the Muslims faith. In addition, their offer of interpretation model is considered far from the truth value of religion (Islam). However, this assessment actually confirms the stagnation of philosophical interpretation in the constellation of Islamic thought so that it has an impact on the weak implementation of the Qur'anic curiosity.

Abstract

Women naturally experience five biological experiences of women in the form of menstruation, pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum, and breastfeeding. Reproductive function is often found with pain, exhaustion, and risk. Nur Rofi'ah is here to present an interpretation of the reproduction verse by looking at the reality of society, especially the reality experienced by women. This research method is a type of qualitative research in the form of library research and the sociology of knowledge approach. The method of collecting data is by digging directly from studies of the KGI (Islamic Gender Justice) Koran and related literature and presenting data from the medical and psychological side of the condition of women experiencing reproductive function. From the author's analysis, it is concluded that Nur Rofi'ah's interpretation is part of the paradigm of transformative interpretation of reproductive verses. His explanation of the word aża which means pain becomes a reconstruction of the meaning of the verse while in explaining the words wahnān'alā wahnin and kurhān, he reproduces the meaning of the verse on the previous interpretations by providing an explanation of the condition of women who are menstruating, pregnant, giving birth, postpartum, and breastfeeding. From a medical and psychological perspective, the interpretation is expected to be a change in the attitude of the environment, family, especially husbands to be more caring and sympathetic.

Abstract

Pegandon Village, Karangdadap District, Pekalongan, one of the areas affected by the Pemalang-Batang toll road. The project has many negative impacts on the communities around the village, including children. This village is also known as a village with vast rice fields and rivers in the area. Children are the environmental assets of the future that play a very important role in preserving natural resources. So, their understanding of the Qur'anic teachings about environment is the key to maintaining human relations with nature. With a good understanding, it fosters the sensitivity to be a creature for nature in future generations. This empowerment is intended to provide understanding and sensitivity of children, especially for students of Quranic Education Park (TPQ) and Madrasah Diniyah Bustanul Iman, Pegandon Karangdadap Village, Pekalongan. Empowerment is built with the assistance method with a contextual, cooperative and problem-based approach. Empowerment is presented through the introduction of verses that teach about the environment, including natural wealth, the prohibition of damaging the environment and the obligation to preserve it. The series of activities that have been carried out have positive implications for children of TPQ and Madrasah Diniyah Bustanul Iman because they have been able to understand and practice environmental verses as teachings to preserve the environment from damage and efforts to conserve it.

Abstract

The Intellectual works written by Indonesian ulama represent vernacular elements very prominently, including the use of language and response to the local community. This paper examines an Islamic work, 'Aisy al-Bahr focusing on marine animals. This work was written by Kiyai Anwar Batang, Central Java in the early 20th century. This research, which is qualitative in nature, utilizes approach of social history of intellectual argues that the book was dedicated to the religious life of the coastal Muslim community in particular and also indicated the author's intellectual quality, who discerned in marine animals life; the use of the work is the Arabic language in general but the Pegon script in particular to address some terms of marine animals. Furthermore, the author's commitment to the Syafi'iyah school of fiqh pointed to an intense intellectual tradition in the archipelago's ulama network in the archipelago scholarly network. The criticism and the methodological thought presented in his work can enrich the intellectual treasures for the pesantren and academic communities. Keywords: Intellectual Tradition; Javanese Scholars; Marine Animal.   Karya intelektual yang ditulis para ulama Nusantara sangat kental dengan unsur vernakularisasi, termasuk bahasa yang digunakan dan respon terhadap masyarakat lokal. Artikel ini mengkaji kitab 'Aisy al-Bahr, karya seputar hewan laut yang ditulis seorang ulama pesisir utara Jawa Tengah, Kiai Anwar Batang pada awal abad ke-20. Riset kualitatif dengan pendekatan sejarah sosial intelektual ini membuktikan bahwa kitab tersebut secara khusus ditulis untuk kebutuhan masyarakat pesisir sekaligus menunjukkan penulisnya sebagai seorang kiai pesisir yang memahami sangat detail tentang hewan-hewan laut. Kitab tersebut secara umum menggunakan bahasa Arab namun untuk beberapa nama ikan menggunakan bahasa Jawa yang ditulis dengan aksara pegon. Selain itu, komitmen pengarang pada mazhab fikih Syafi'iyah menunjukkan tradisi intelektual yang kuat dalam jaringan keulamaan Nusantara. Kritisisme dan nalar manhaji yang disajikan dalam kitab tersebut memperkaya khazanah intelektual bagi kalangan pesantren dan akademisi. Kata Kunci: Tradisi Keulamaan; Ulama Jawa; Hewan Laut.

Abstract

This research reveals Hassan Hanafi’s methodo- logical steps toward transformative interpretation, an interpre- tation that the starting point on the real experience of commu- nity. Hanafi takes two steps, namely the reading of the text of the Qur'an and reading community realities. Reading of the text adopted by specific approach (juz'i), thematic (maudu 'i), and refers to the text meaning (maqasid). While reading on the social context used: actual (Zamani), factual (waqi'i), and contextual, as well as recognize their realities. Hanafi assessed that this approach will bring the style of interpretation that really able to answer the problems of contemporary Muslim societies.
