Abstract

As a mother will certainly give all the best, including exclusive breastfeeding for her beloved baby. One of the failures in breastfeeding is due to breast swelling. Cabbage leaves contain sinigrin (allylisothiocyanate) rapine, mustardoil, magnesium, oxylate, sulfur. A red betel leaf contains flavonoids, polevenolad, tannins, and essential oils. Empirically these substances have the effect of disappearing pain and swelling. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of cabbage and red betel leaf compresses on the degree of postpartum breast swelling.The research method is quasy experimental study with pretest-posttest with control group design. The study population was mothers who gave birth in March to April 2019 in the working area of Mungkid Magelang Public Health Center with a total of 45 respondents. Respondents were divided into 3 groups: 15 postpartum mothers with cabbage compress intervention group, 15 postpartum mothers with red betel leaf compress intervention group and 15 postpartum mothers with control group. The sampling technique is total sampling. Analyze using the Wilcoxon statistical test.Theresults showed that there were any differences in the scale of swelling before and after the intervention in the experiment and control groups. Cabbage compress with <p = 0.001, Red Betel Leaf Compress with p = 0.014 and Control Group with p = 0.025. Cabbage compress is the most effective in reducing the degree of postpartum breast swelling. It is recommended that postpartum mothers with breast swelling can apply cabbage compress as one of the technique to reduce the degree of breast swelling. For health workers, especially midwives are expected to teach cabbage compress techniques to postpartum mothers as one of the non-pharmacological therapies to reduce the degree of postpartum breast swelling.

Abstract

Background : Youth is an asset and the future generation, so that young people had an important role to determine the future of Indonesia. Adolescents tend to want to know new things, so comes the behavioral want to try, and if it is driven by sexual stimulation can lead teens to get in on premarital sexual intercourse (sex). The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of Pikma role in improving knowledge about sex with using the media module, singing Goldapersas, and leaflets to the students of SMK Negeri 2 Magelang Year 2019Methods : quasy experimental research type with pretest post test control group design. The population in this study as many as 282 people. a sample of 165 people. Data analysis by Kruskal Wallis and Mann Whitney Post Hoc test.Results : The results showed that there are different levels of knowledge between variables (singing Goldapersas, modules and leaflets) after being given health education, p = 0.000. The results of this study were expected to make teenagers more active in seeking information about reproductive health, in addition to the teachers also need to improve and equip students with knowledge about sex.Conclusion : Media module is more effective in supporting roles Pikma to increase knowledge about sex in adolescents.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has become a non-natural disaster that has brought a lot of losses, and has been designated by the government as a national disaster. Pregnant women who were confirmed positive for Covid-19 in September 2020 were 4.9% of the total 1,483 confirmed cases. Vulnerable groups for Covid-19 infection are pregnant women, maternity, and newborns, which can increase the incidence of morbidity and mortality in mothers and babies. Pregnancy is a transitional period with important physical and emotional changes, the changes that occur can affect the quality of life of pregnant women and affect the health of mothers and babies. Modification of health services during the Covid-19 pandemic is needed when there is a change in essential health services, especially community-based health efforts by maximizing the function of health cadres. This type of research is a quasi-experimental with one group pre and post test with control group design. Sample number 15 pregnant women in the third trimester each group. The assistance of 1 cadre 1 pregnant women is carried out 1x/week for 3x, with activities including: learning material for the MCH Handbook as a substitute for classes for pregnant women, pregnancy exercise and providing material for service guidelines during the Covid-19 period. The research instrument is WHOQOL-BREF. The data normality test was carried out by Shapiro Wilk and the data analysis was carried out using the Wilcoxon Test. There is a significant effect of cadre assistance on the quality of life of pregnant women in the physical, psychological, social and environmental domains during the Covid-19 pandemic with p-value = 0.001 in all domains. The need for intensive assistance from health cadres to pregnant women during the Covid-19 pandemic to improve the quality of life.

Abstract

Background: Health efforts since child is still in the womb until the first five years of life, aimed at maintaining the continuity of life while improving the quality of life of children in order to achieve optimal growth of physical, mental, emotional and social and has a compound intelligence according to its genetic potential (Kemenkes,2013;h.1). So as a candidate of the next generation of the nation, the quality of growth of infants in Indonesia need to get serious attention that is got good nutrition, stimulation that memadaiserta affordable by quality health services including detection and early intervention deviation grow flowers (Kemenkes, 2013, h.1). Detection and growth interventions (SDIDTK) focuses on examination of KMME, CHAT, GPPH.Objective: To describe early detection of emotional mental problems, early detection of autism, attention disorder and hyperactivity in preschoolers.Methodology: This type of research is descriptive research. The author only describes the implementation of early detection of mental emotional deviation of children aged 36-72 months.Results: the majority of KMME studies of 40 respondents were in an abnormal category 26 (65%) and at CHAT of 40 respondents in abnormal category there were 5 (12.5%), in GPPH from 40 respondents there were 2 children falling into the category abnormal.Conclusion: The conclusion is that early detection of developmental disorder in KMME, CHAT, GPPH, the village midwife meetings with parents to conduct counseling and provide stimulation and intervention. After three months of evaluation, there is no change in referral to the hospital.

Abstract

Backgroud: The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the health system and the economy. Children under the age of 5 are very vulnerable to infectious diseases such as malaria, pneumonia, diarrhea, HIV and tuberculosis. The results of the 2018 Basic health research in Indonesia that the prevalence of underweight/bad nutrition problems was 17.7%, and stunting reached 30.8%. Methods: This type of research is an analytic study and the design of this research is cross sectional. The sampling technique in this study used simple random sampling with inclusion criteria in this study were children aged 0-60 months who visited at the Magelang Community health center complete nutritional status data recorded, namely weight, age, medical diagnosis in the patient's medical record. The sample size is 220 determined by the slovin formula. Result: The majority of respondents are children under five with a diagnosis of infectious lung disease of 179 (81.4%). The nutritional status of the majority of respondents are toddlers with good nutritional status of 164 (74.5%). The results of the analysis showed that there was a relationship between pulmonary infection and nutritional status of children under five at the Magelang Community health center, with a Z value of 11,432a with a significance value of 0.003 (< 0.05). Conclusion: There is a relationship between infection diseases and nutritional status of children under five at the Magelang Community health center. It is important for mothers to ensure that children are raised with good parenting and nutrition patterns, implement health protocols so that children are protected from infectious diseases that will have an impact on poor nutritional status.

Abstract

Abstrak: Saat ini stunting menjadi fokus perhatian masalah gizi oleh pemerintah Indonesia karena tidak hanya menyebabkan kelainan fisik namun juga kognitif yaitu berupa kecerdasan yang kurang pada balita. Berdasarkan data Survei Status Gizi Balita Indonesia (SSGBI) pada tahun 2019, prevelensi stunting di Indonesia mencapai 27,7%. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan kelompok masyarakat tertentu (kader kesehatan) dalam hal pencegahan stunting pada balita melalui penggunaan tikar pertumbuhan sebagai alat bantu deteksi dini stunting. Metode yang di gunakan adalah dengan sosialisasi dan pendampingan kader dalam penggunaan tikar pertumbuhan. Pelaksanaan pengabdian di Desa Kalijoso dengan 20 kader yang terbagi 2 kelompok. Kegiatan dengan sosialisasi terkait stunting dan penggunaan tikar pertumbuhan dalam pengukuran tinggi badan balita dan dilanjutkan dengan praktik penggunaan tikar pertumbuhan. Pengabdi melakukan monitoring dan evaluasi ke posyandu untuk memantau penggunaan tikar pertumbuhan. Pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat berupa edukasi tentang penggunaan tikar pertumbuhan dengan sasaran kader kesehatan di Desa Kalijoso telah berhasil dilaksanakan dengan baik. Terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan dari 73% menjadi 90%. Abstract: Currently stunting is the focus of attention on nutrition issues by the Indonesian government because it not only causes physical but also cognitive abnormalities, namely in the form of less intelligence in toddlers. Based on data from the Indonesian Toddler Nutrition Status Survey (SSGBI) in 2019, the prevalence of stunting in Indonesia reached 27.7%. The purpose of this community service is to increase the knowledge of certain community groups (health cadres) in terms of preventing stunting in toddlers through the use of growth mats as an aid for early detection of stunting. The method used is by socializing and assisting cadres in using growth mats. Implementation of community service in Kalijoso Village with 20 cadres divided into 2 groups. Activities with socialization related to stunting and the use of growth mats in measuring toddler height and continued with the practice of using growth mats. The servant conducts monitoring and evaluation at the posyandu to monitor the use of growth mats. The implementation of community service in the form of education about the use of growth mats with the target of health cadres in Kalijoso Village has been successfully carried out. There is an increase in knowledge from 73% to 90%.

Abstract

Background: Menopause is a natural biological transition characterized by the permanent cessation of menstruation due to decreased ovarian production of estrogen and progesterone. These hormonal changes may lead to physical and psychological symptoms that potentially affect women’s quality of life. Assessing quality of life among menopausal women is essential to identify their health status and well-being, particularly in urban settings where lifestyle factors may influence adaptation to menopause. Objective: This study aimed to examine the association between sociodemographic characteristics and the quality of life of menopausal women in urban areas. Methods: An analytic correlational study with a cross-sectional design was conducted among 49 menopausal women selected through total sampling. Quality of life was measured using the WHOQOL-BREF instrument, covering physical health, psychological health, social relationships, and environmental domains. Bivariate analysis was performed using the Chi-square test with a significance level of 5%. Results: Most respondents were postmenopausal, had primary–secondary education, were employed, and were married. The majority reported moderate quality of life in the physical domain and good quality of life in the psychological, social, and environmental domains. Age was significantly associated with quality of life in the physical and social domains (p < 0.05). No significant associations were found between education level, employment status, or marital status and quality of life (p > 0.05). Conclusion: Age significantly influences quality of life among menopausal women, particularly in physical and social aspects. Strengthened health promotion and family support are recommended to improve well-being during menopause.
