Abstract

Use of false beams on reinforced concrete slab instead of the joist is an innovation in the construction of reinforced concrete slab. Where the study was made by using 4 samples of precast concrete slab specimens (PBP). Ie: P1 type - plate only, type P2 - plate with joists, type P3 - small plates with slight beams, type P4 - plate with big apparent beam. The fourth specimen samples made using the Batu Raja cement, sand from Gunung Sugih, and local split Bandar Lampung in the Civil Engineering Laboratory of UBL. The fourth test specimen samples was conducted at the Laboratory of Civil Engineering Unila using method one point load that is placed in the center - the center span in order to get the load and the maximum deflection and crack patterns. The data obtained are used to verify the theoretical calculations. Conclusions will be given at the end of writing.

Abstract

This study is known as the Bamboo Concrete Beams (B3) with bamboo casing as an alternative reinforcement, conducted through experimental methods. The test results were then verified through analytical calculations. Behaviors examined included mechanical properties of bending, beam flexural strength and fracture patterns are burdened by the quasi-static load. Researchers used 16 pieces of the test specimen. Bamboo specimens used in this study is a type of Petung Bamboo (Dendrocalamus Asper), with a long piece of bamboo varies from 2860 mm to 3910 mm, outer diameter of the bottom of the 105 mm to 155 mm and the outer diameter of the upper section of 95 mm to 135 mm, which are grouped into 5 kinds of testing that is,1. Bamboo intact, the inner segments remain, with BA code (2 pieces of the specimen)2. Bamboo intact, the inner segments removed, the code BP (2 pieces of the specimen)3. Bamboo shoots in a section removed (like bamboo pipes) and not given a bamboo rod stud, with code BTS (4 pieces of the test specimen).4. Bamboo shoots in a section removed (like bamboo pipes) and given a bamboo rod stud on the inside along ½ bamboo inner diameter, with code BAS (4 pieces of the test specimen). 5. One side of the split bamboo rod sections with a thickness of 75 mm, inner bamboo segments remain (such as drums) and given a bamboo rod stud on the inside, with code KTGN (4 pieces of the test specimen). Value of the maximum load Pmax, the maximum moment Mmax and max deflection for each specimen according to the results of observation and calculation is as follows

Abstract

One of the effects of development and growth in urban areas is the increasing number of vehicles from year to year . Improved transportation needs to support the activities of the community , the problems faced by large cities today . Along with these problems , the most crucial in the presence of the number of vehicles is the problem of congestion .Vehicle congestion and concentrated on a spot will cause air pollution . Air pollution comes from motor vehicle exhaust emissions contain toxic substances that are harmful to human health , among others , CO, HC, CO2, SOx, NOx, PM10 .JICA study said 70 % of air pollution occurs in urban contributed from motor vehicles , and the remaining 30% are caused by industrial and household activities .Based on these facts , the government sought to continue to make prevention of air pollution in accordance with the mandate of Law No. 32/2009 about Protection and Management of the Environment and Government Regulation No. 41/1999 about Air Pollution Control. In addition , more specific regulation No.5/MENLH/2006 , regulates the Threshold Motor Vehicle Exhaust Emissions that can be used as a legal basis so that exhaust emissions from motor vehicles do not pollute the air . Air pollution control efforts are primarily aimed at improving air quality for human life.Referring to the importance of the above issues , this study will examine the effect of vehicle emissions on air quality in Urban and Sub- Urban areas in the city of Bandar Lampung. This study uses primary and secondary data , which begins with a review of the concept of the development of Bandar Lampung city transport system , then analysis the influence of motor vehicle exhaust emissions , especially gas CO , SO2 and NO2 air quality in urban and sub-urban aras. The results of this study will show how much influence the motor vehicle exhaust emissions on ambient air quality in urban and sub-urban areas . It is expected Bandar Lampung city government can adopt policies to reduce air pollution from transportation Activities.

Abstract

Downstream part of the watershed is an area of lowland Sekampung with +3.00 to +4.00 elevation above sea level. Area located between the border regions of South Lampung regency and East Lampung. Originally this area was flooded reservoir area, the Swamp Sragi and surrounding areas, but along with the development of this area is used as a residential area, pertaniandan pond area for the people around the area. Padatahun 2002 River Way Sekampung experience overflow caused flooding in downstream areas which suffered losses of up to 38 billion rupiahIn this study analyzed the incidence of flooding that may occur based on rainfall data available. Based on the results of the input stream and cross sectional design flood discharge is seen that when the flood began when the river reaches flood discharge Q50-year anniversary. In this study flood control analysis performed on the three methods are: the construction of levees, making retention ponds and dredge rivers. The third input method results in HEC RAS 3.1.3 shows that building levees to reduce flooding by 32%, on a flood retention pond can be reduced up to 45% and normalization of the river is only able to reduce flooding by 20%. Most effective flood management recommendation is to build two retention ponds and technical cost reduction by flooding.
