Abstract

Pengaruh banjir pada lahan padi sawah kian semakin buruk (bertambahnya luas area terdampak, keparahan, dan frekuensinya) dari tahun ke tahun, menyebabkan penurunan secara nyata hasil padi, produksi padi dan pendapatan petani. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) mengumpulkan informasi pengaruh banjir terhadap hasil padi, produksi padi dan penurunan pendapatan petani padi akibat banjir saat sekarang hingga nanti, dengan dan tanpa tindakan adaptasi; (2) mengidentifikasi teknologi inovasi yang diperlukan untuk mengatasi banjir; (3) membuat strategi untuk mengurangi dan mengatasi dampak banjir pada pertanaman padi sawah. Data dan informasi dikumpulkan dari enam lahan sawah di Jawa Barat dan Jawa Tengah pada tahun 2010. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan model matematik dan model simulasi dinamik RENDAMAN.CSM, untuk memperoleh informasi dugaan besarnya kehilangan hasil, produksi dan kerugian usahatani padi hingga tahun 2020. Banjir dan rendaman selama tahun 2006-2010 menurunkan hasil padi di Jawa Barat 2.5 ton ha-1, dan di Jawa Tengah 3.0 ton ha-1. Kerugian yang dialami petani di Jawa Barat dan Jawa Tengah berkisar antara Rp. 6.5-7.0 juta ha-1. Kehilangan produksi padi akibat banjir 10-46 ribu ton GKP, atau setara Rp. 24–112 milyar tahun-1. Kehilangan produksi ini diduga akan terus meningkat bila tanpa adanya tindakan adaptasi menjadi 12-58 ribu ton GKP atau setara Rp. 30–140 milyar pada tahun 2015. Langkah pengendalian menghadapi banjir yang segera diperlukan adalah (1) konservasi dan perbaikan DAS hulu hingga hilir secara intensif; (2) perbaikan infrastruktur saluran irigasi dan drainase dari hulu ke hilir oleh pemerintah pusat dan daerah, termasuk pengerukan endapan lumpur; (3) gerakan gotong royong pemeliharaan saluran berupa pembersihan tumbuhan air dalam saluran (eceng gondok dan sebagainya) oleh kelompok-kelompok tani dan masyarakat; (4) mengevaluasi kembali pola rotasi tanaman dalam setahun termasuk awal musim tanam; (5) penyediaan pompa-pompa pembuang air banjir. Perubahan teknologi yang diperlukan sebagai tindakan adaptasi terhadap banjir adalah (1) penggunaan varietas tahan rendaman lebih dari 10 hari, dengan kualitas gabah dan harga jual sesuai dengan keinginan petani; (2) perbaikan pupuk dan pemupukan, seperti penggunaan pupuk N lepas lambat (slow release), atau briket, hara lain dan waktu pemberian yang tepat; (3) penyiapan bibit sehat dan kuat yang siap disulamkan apabila terjadi kerusakan pertanaman akibat banjir; (4) perbaikan cara budidaya seperti pengaturan jarak tanam/populasi untuk mengurangi kerusakan/kerugian akibat banjir/rendaman; dan (5) cara pengendalian keong mas dan hama penyakit lain yang berkembang cepat akibat banjir. Teknologi di atas perlu terus diperbaiki efektivitasnya dari sekarang untuk menghadapi kondisi banjir yang lebih parah di masa mendatang.

Abstract

There are many new rice varieties have been produced, introduced and breed at IRRI and the other National Agriculture Research Institutes that are tolerance to submergence condition to anticipate global warming and flash flooding around theworld. Among others are IR64-Sub 1, Suwarna-Sub 1, Inpara-1, Inpara-2, inpara-3 etc. However, those new varieties have not been tested widely yet, and the method of rice cultivation under submergence condition have not been adjusted, including the nutrient management.A greenhouse experiment was conducted at Muara Research Station, Bogor during 2008 dry season. The objectives of this experiment are (1) to study the effects of time of submergence and N application on plant growth and yield of  R64 and IR64-Sub 1 rice varieties; (2) to find the best nutrient management for submergence rice varieties. The experiment was conducted during 2008 dry season at greenhouse, Muara Research station, Bogor. The design of the  experiment was a Completely Randomized Factorial Design with three eplications. Factor 1 is rice variety (IR64 and IR64-Sub 1); Factor 2 is time of submergence (without submergence or control, submergence at vegetative phase (15 to 25 d.a.t), and at generative phase (35 to 45 d.a.t)). Factor 3 is N application, namely (F1) 300 kg Urea/ha 3x applications at 7 d.a.t- 30 d.a.t – 55 d.a.t; (F2) Mudball urea –300 kg Urea/ha applied once at 7 d.a.t. (F3) compost; and (F4) compost and urea; (F5) Urea and silikat.urea-N application at four time 0 d.a.t – 7 d.a.t – 30 d.a.t – 55 d.a.t (factor C). The results of experiments showed that submergence changes rice plant growth pattern (mainly tiller number and plant height), increased dry grain weight of IR64, namely 35.9 g at early vegetatif phase and 29.9 g at late vegetatif phase, while for IR64-Sub 1 32.6 g and 30.3 g at the same respective phase. Mudball urea and silicate application improved plant resistant to submergence and increase rice yield.

Abstract

Pikiran menjadi cakrawala yang dapat mencerahkan hati. Tanpa Pikiran, manusia tidak mampu memahami bentuk pengajaran apapun baik yang telah Allah turunkan dalam Al-Qur’an dan melalui para Rasul-Rasul Nya. Hal ini bermakna bahwapikiran sangatlah mutlak dibutuhkan dalam proses pencarian dan transferilmu pengetahuan kepada ummat manusia. Dengan memaksimalkan kerja akal dan pikiran, manusia mampu menganalisa serta memahami secara mendalam semua komponen-komponen pendidikan yang telah Allah turunkan melalui perantara kitab dan rasulNya. Setiap manusia normal terlahir dengan potensi Pikiran Sadar dan Bawah Sadar yang sama. Namun, dalam proses tumbuh-kembang seorang manusia hanya sebagian kecil saja dari seluruh potensi yang berkembang sepenuhnya dalam Pikiran Sadar. Umumnya manusia modern tidak banyak menggunakan potensi Bawah Sadarnya karena di sekolah dia hanya diajarkan bagaimana menggunakan Pikiran Sadarnya (logika dan analisa). Padahal kalau kita mau menggunakan potensi Bawah Sadar kita, manusia bisa mengembangkan dirinya ke level yang lebih tinggi. Sebenarnya, dalam beraktivitas, manusia memakai 2 pemikiran, yaitu pikiran Sadar (Conscious Mind) dan pikiran bawah sadar (sub Conscious Mind). Pikiran Sadar adalah pikiran analitis, kritis dan merupakan bagian yang memutuskan. Sementara Pikiran Bawah Sadar menurut maestro Hypnotherapy salah satunya berfungsi sebagai gudang penyimpanan informasi dan sumber emosi. Pikiran sadar terletak di bagian korteks otak. Pada usia sekitar 3 tahunan, pikiran sadar seorang anak mulai aktif. Pikiran sadar ini adalah bagian otak yang digunakan untuk berpikir dan hanya mewakili 10% dari kemampuan otak manusia.

Abstract

Cholesterol sufferers in Indonesia are quite high, reaching 28% and 7.9% of people die from this disease. If treated too late, high cholesterol can endanger health and even lead to death. Decreased organ function in the elderly increases the risk of degenerative diseases. Pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies are used to treat cholesterol. On the other hand, red ginger has been proven to be effective in lowering cholesterol levels. Red ginger contains flavonoid compounds with hypocholesterologenic effects and inhibits enzymes involved in cholesterol biosynthesis. The mechanism of action involves influence on enzyme activity, inflammatory and antioxidant properties. This study aims to determine the significant effect on cholesterol levels after consuming red ginger. The experimental research method was Purposive Sampling and the examination method used the fotometry. Data analysis used the SPSS program Paired T test with a sig value of 0.002 which was carried out on 19 elderly people aged 45-74 years with cholesterol levels >200 mg/dl by administering ginger. red 3.2 ml/kg BW every day for 14 days, in Kaliwadas Cirebon.. The results of the study showed that the results of checking cholesterol levels before treatment were found to be an average of 231 mg/dl and cholesterol levels after were found to be an average of 199 mg/dl. The conclusion of this research is that there is an effect of giving red ginger on total cholesterol levels with a percentage of 21.9%.

Abstract

Gout often attacks at the age of > 45 years because at that age estrogen levels decrease, causing an increase in uric acid in the blood. Hyperuricemia can be overcome with herbal treatment in the form of consuming guava juice because it contains vitamin C which has a uricogenic effect, namely increasing the body's uric acid excretion, thereby reducing the formation of uric crystals in the blood. The purpose of this community service is to increase public knowledge about the benefits of guava fruit in reducing uric acid levels. This service is carried out through counseling activities and giving guava fruits to increase public knowledge and understanding of the importance of consuming guava fruits in reducing uric acid levels. The method used in this activity was counseling by means of socialization first and then followed by observation using questionnaires and blood sampling for gout examination in the elderly as many as 22 people in Karangampel Indramayu District on May 9 - 20, 2022. The results and conclusions of this activity are that guava can reduce uric acid levels in the elderly in Karangampel Indramayu District.

Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever is still one of the disease problems in Indonesia today. The first case of DHF in Indonesia itself occurred in 1986 in the city of Surabaya, this disease continues to increase and spread throughout Indonesia, which causes all parts of Indonesia to be at risk of being infected with this disease. Dengue fever or dengue fever is an infectious disease caused by the dengue virus and is transmitted through the bite of Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus mosquitoes. This disease is one type of health disorder that interferes with everyone's productivity and is one of the infectious diseases that often causes outbreaks and causes death. This study aims to determine the hematocrit value in dengue hemorrhagic fever patients and what percentage of the hematocrit value in dengue hemorrhagic fever patients is in accordance with the normal value standard with descriptive research methods and examination methods using a hematology analyzer. For data analysis using the SPSS program, the K Independent Samples Test with a sig value of 0.000 was carried out on 33 blood samples obtained from dengue hemorrhagic fever patients in a regional hospital 45 kunngan purposively. The results showed that there were differences in the hematocrit value in patients with dengue hemorrhagic fever. The results of the examination of the hematocrit value of dengue hemorrhagic fever patients showed an increase in the hematocrit value of 12 people with a percentage of 36.40%, a decrease of 6 people with a percentage result of 18.20% and for normal numbers as many as 15 people with a percentage result of 45.50 %

Abstract

Abstract. Gout often attacks people over the age of 30, this is because at that age the declining esterogenous levels can cause uric acid levels in the blood to increase. High uric acid levels can be overcome with a variety of treatments including nonpharmacological treatment in the form of giving pineapple juice. Prevention that can be done to keep uric acid levels normal is by limiting purine foods, choosing low-purine foods, avoiding taking drugs, and taking vitamin C supplements including consuming pineapple juice. The purpose of this study was to determine uric acid levels before and after giving pineapple juice and to determine the difference in results before and after giving pineapple juice on uric acid levels in menopausal women. The research method was pre experiment and the method of examining uric acid levels using the POCT method. The population in the study were 25 menopausal women aged 45-55 years in RW 3 Kaliwadas Village, Cirebon Regency. The sample in the study was 22 menopausal women, with the sampling technique using purposive sampling. Data from the examination of uric acid levels before and after the administration of pineapple juice obtained the results of 21 samples that experienced a decrease (95.45%) and 1 sample that experienced an increase (4.45%) with an average uric acid level before 5.6 mg/dL with the highest level of 8.4 mg/dL and the lowest level of 4.7 mg/dL and the average after 5.3 mg/dL with the highest level of 8.4 mg/dL and the lowest level of 3.7 mg/dL. The research data were analyzed using a normality test and paired sample T-test obtained Sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 <0.005. based on this study it can be concluded that there is an influence on uric acid levels before and after being given pineapple juice.

Abstract

Anchovies are widely consumed by the public and are served in various ways and flavors and variations to make them more attractive and desirable. However, the existence of anchovies today contains a lot of formalin preservatives to last long and not cause big losses. There are many ways to reduce formaldehyde levels in food, one way is to soak it in hot water, because one of the properties of formaldehyde is water soluble. This study aims to determine the formalin content of anchovies before and after soaking in hot water at various time variations and to determine the effect of anchovy soaking time in hot water on formalin content. The research method used in this study is pre-experiment with one-group pretest-postest design while the examination method uses uv-vis spectrophotometer. For data analysis using SPSS program one way anova test. The identification of formalin was done qualitatively using distillation with the addition of chromatopic acid and quantitatively using a spectophotometer with a wavelength of 570 nm. It was found that formalin levels before hot water immersion with a duration of 0 minutes in anchovy rice averaged 26.254 ppm. Samples of anchovy rice after immersion with hot water with the initial temperature of immersion 100°c with a duration of time of 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 20 minutes, 25 minutes, and 30 minutes obtained the results of the highest decrease in formaldehyde levels at 30 minutes of immersion time averaged 64.25% or 9.385 ppm.

Abstract

Anemia is one of the conditions in which the body lacks enough red blood cells or hemoglobin to meet its physiological needs depending on the person's age, gender, age, pregnancy stage and breastfeeding stage because at the breastfeeding stage, the mother is susceptible to experiencing anemia due to iron depletion during breastfeeding and the occurrence of postpartum blood loss. Beetroot (Beta Vulgaris) is a fruit that contains quite high iron and has many nutrients. Beetroot can be used as an alternative to anemia treatment and can also be used as a prevention of anemia. The purpose of this community service activity is to give beets to breastfeeding mothers, namely to increase the knowledge of breastfeeding mothers about the benefits of beets in preventing and treating anemia. The method used in this activity is counseling by means of socialization first then followed by observation using questionnaires and blood sampling for hemoglobin examination. This activity took place at the Posyandu Sukasari Kaler Village, Majalengka Regency on April 14 – 21, 2023. Based on the results of community service activities, we can know that consuming beets for 7 days can prevent anemia and increase hemoglobin levels in breastfeeding mothers.
