<![CDATA[Penggunaan media baru sudah kerap menjadi bahan kajian. Namun di Indonesia, baru sedikit penelitian yang mengaitkannya dengan masalah pemberdayaan, terlebih lagi pemberdayaan perempuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelaah bagaimana pemberdayaan perempuan dilakukan melalui media sosial. Melalui metode studi kasus, penelitian ini mempelajari fenomena penggunaan media sosial oleh lembaga pemberdayaan perempuan langsung pada keadaan alaminya. Dua fokus kajian dalam penelitian ini adalah pada personel yang melakukan aktivitas bermedia sosial dan pada isi media sosial yang mereka kelola. Telaah pada personel pelaku media sosial memberikan gambaran kemampuan penggunaan media sosial kelompok perempuan. Sementara telaah dari isi media sosial menggambarkan seperti apa konten media yang dianggap memberdayakan.   ]]>

<![CDATA[This research was conducted on the basis of gender inequalities are still many who manifests in various forms. It is necessary to process gender-based regulation in any policy formulation by the government. Strengthening the role of women legislators is an important step to accommo-date the various demands, rights, and aspirations of women so as to produce public policies based on gender equality. This research uses descriptive qualitative method to describe the ac-tivities of a female legislative involvement Medan in quantity and quality in the use of his posi-tion to generate gender-based public policy. The results of this study indicate that: 1.Lack of po-litical education of women-owned legislature; 2.Patriarchal culture that remains deeply em-bedded in the public field; 3.Less time to focus on politics; 4.Female legislative indifference to the condition of women in the city of Medan; 5.The notion that women rely more on emotional creatures. Its base on gender and political approach.Keywords: Legislature, public policy, gender inequalities.]]>

<![CDATA[Tulisan ini berangkat dari kegiatan pelitahan literasi internet pada perempuan desa. Pelatihan tersebut merupakan rangkaian kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) yang diharapkan mampu memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan tentang internet. Kemampuan literasi internet merupakan kebutuhan yang sudah sangat mendesak. Hal ini tidak terlepas dari terpaan internet sudah mencapai hingga pelosok nusantara. Kondisi tersebut membutuhkan peran ibu sebagai gatekeeper untuk memberikan pemahaman tentang penggunaan internet. Dalam kegiatan ini didapati beberapa temuan sikap dan perilaku bermedia internet perempuan desa. Temuan utama adalah bahwa sebagian perempuan desa hanya menjadi pengguna pasif karena tidak memiliki perangkat dan/atau keterampilan menggunakan internet. Sementara itu, masalah pengawasan penggunaan internet oleh anak-anak ternyata sebagaian besar ibu belum menyadari dan mempraktikkannya. Temuan lainnya adalah kepemilikan perangkat internet tidak serta-merta menjadikan perempuan memiliki akses penuh terhadap perangkat tersebut.]]>

<![CDATA[Cyberbullying is a new form of bullying that is commonly experienced in the real world but with the same characteristics and effects. Cyberbullying is the behavior of using information and communication technology that aims to intimidate others repeatedly and intentionally Victims of cyberbullying are "parties who are intimidated by stronger parties repeatedly through electronic media. Bodhicitta High School is an integrated school with internet where every high school student can use the internet in teaching and learning activities. This study aims to find out who is the victim of cyberbullying and also how cyberbullying behavior is experienced by victims. This study used descriptive qualitative method. A purposive technique is used to determine the informants to be interviewed. The results of the study show that not only students who are not achievers, but also students who excel even teachers are also victims of cyberbullying. The anonymity of cyberbullying is one of the most powerful reasons for triggering cyberbullying. Victims mostly experience cyberbullying behavior in the form of flaming, harassment, and also denigration.]]>

<![CDATA[Mobile?? Legends? ?Online?? Games:? ?Bang? ?Bang? ?is? ?one?? manifestation? ?of? ?technological development in new media. The purpose of this study was to find out how the positive and negative impact of playing Mobile Legends: Bang Bang online games to FISIP UMA students who play games. The theory used in this study is communication, new media, positive and negative online games. The method used is a qualitative method. Where the informants fifth in FISIP UMA students. Data collection techniques are carried out by means of participatory observation, in-depth interviews and documentary evidence. The result of the study show that the impact of playing Mobile Legends is influenced by the attitude of the players, indifferent to the social environment, wasteful in terms of time and economy, can get new friends in cyberspace from other countries so as not to limit interaction, add insight and experience about technology.??]]>

<![CDATA[The research wants to observe public opinion about women who work in hotel affairs. The problem about working in hotel is the working hour, sometimes in day time, but also night time. The condition make negative perception about working women in hotel affairs. This is descriptive analysis research. The result shows that most people have positive response about working women in hotel affairs because it increase family income.]]>

<![CDATA[Mix marriage as regulated in Article 57 Law Number 1 of 1974 concerning marriage that is committed by a couple with different nationality. The Nationality of the Republic of Indonesia in Law Number 12 of 2006, is explained that children as the result of mix marriage can have double nationalities but limited. The process of communication that is using in the mixing marriage is the process of intercultural communication. In establishment of an interpersonal communication between eastern culture and western culture. This communication takes place not just for a day or two, but takes place during the stay of foreign citizens and citizens relations with in Indonesia. The patterns of children's education is one of the problems that often occur in mixed marriages. Most of the mixing marriage used the foreign pattern of their child's education. This is because foreigners want their children get an education equivalent to the education of the country of origin may be obtained. The results showed that the process of intercultural communication can be well-established and effective among the four mixed marriage couples. Overall informants seeks to honor and respect for cultural differences in their marriage.They tried to blend and merge with the cultur of their partner.Changes in view of the world (religion,values,and behaviors) on minorities and chose to follow the beliefs of the dominant partner.]]>

<![CDATA[This research is motivated by the presence of Razor Infotaiment on RCTI which is quite popular with the community as entertainment. The purpose of this study was to determine the perceptions of residents of the Environment 21 of Tanjung Mulia Village. The theories used in this study include a description of the theory of mass communication, television mass media, perception, razor infotaiment. The population of this study were residents of the Environment 21 of Tanjung Mulia Village. The sample of this study was 40 people from the Environment 21 of Tanjung Mulia, Medan. The research method used is descriptive quantitative method. The results of the study showed that residents of the Environment 21 regarding Silet infotaiment shows on RCTI were very positive, where people's perceptions of the Silet's infotaiment impressions on RCTI were quite positive when viewed in terms of broadcast material related to the screening schedule, content, time, duration. Likewise from the side of the presenter who brought the infotaiment program.]]>

<![CDATA[Researcher observing how the interculture communications patterns onaroncommunity in Berastagi .The purpose is to analyze the processes and pattern of communication that happened between various ethnics in aron community as well as the constraints that emerge in the interculture communication process in Berastagi.As many ethnics become aron, researcher focusing on the communications proccess between the Toba, Simalungun, Java, Nias, Karo, Gayo and Alas.A qualitative approach with the methods of communicationethnography was adopted in this research. Theresearch result indicates the intercultural communication on aron communities included in the interactive, transactional, dynamic and the limited interactive communication. In addition, the process of communication between intercultural ethnics also included into the primary and secondary communication pattern. Of all the intercultural communication process within the aron community, there are communication constraints such as prejudice and stereotype in the form of satire done by Karo to Toba.]]>
