Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to determine the increase of student learning outcomes in International Economics courses after participating in case-method learning assisted by Quizizz. This research was an experiment with one group pretest-post test design. The sample in this study was 68 students of Sriwijaya University Economics Education. The data collection technique was test. To determine the significance, the data obtained were analyzed using N-gain and t-test. The results showed that student learning outcomes after participating in case method learning assisted by Quizizz experienced a significant increase. The increase of student learning outcomes were mostly in the medium category, with details as many as 33.33% of students were in the Low category, 53.97% were in the Medium category and 12.70% were in the High category. Based on these results, the case method learning assisted by Quizizz is recommended to be used in order to improve student learning outcomes.Keywords: Case Method, Learning Outcomes, QuizizzAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Ekonomi Internasional setelah mengikuti pembelajaran case method berbantuan Quizizz. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest-post test. Sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah 68 mahasiswa Pendidikan Ekonomi Universitas Sriwijaya. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes tertulis. Untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar, data dianalisis menggunakan N-gain dan Uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar mahasiswa setelah mengikuti pembelajaran case method berbantuan Quizizz. Peningkatan tersebut sebagian besar berada pada kategori Sedang, dengan rincian sebesar 33,33% mahasiswa berada pada kategori Rendah, 53,97% berada pada kategori Sedang, dan 12,70% berada pada kategori Tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, pembelajaran case method berbantuan Quizizz direkomendasikan untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran dalam rangka meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa.Kata Kunci: Case Method, Hasil Belajar Mahasiswa, Quizizz

Abstract

Technology is transforming education in today’s digital era by making learning easier, faster, and more engaging. This allows students to understand material better and access education anytime and anywhere. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest design. Data were collected, processed, and analyzed using a narrative method to explore the impact of technology on student learning. The findings show that the use of the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) in learning increased students’ average scores from 64.28 to 89.8, representing a 25.5% improvement. This indicates that teknologi helps students learn more effectively and participate more actively. The novelty of this research, EDMS is the innovative tool in social sciences education, demonstrating its effectiveness in improving learning outcomes and student engagement in a digital learning environment. Therefore, this research provides insight into how technology significantly supports the advancement of education in universities.
