Abstract

Warodoyong District is the district with the most puddles in Sukabumi City, with 9 puddles. The 9 puddles need to be prioritised. The purpose of this study is to calculate the priority value for handling puddles that occur in Warodoyong District. It is hoped that this study can be used by the Sukabumi City Regional Government and related agencies in handling puddles that occur. The determination of puddle management priorities is based on the Minister of Public Works Regulation No. 12 of 2014 on the Implementation of Urban Drainage Systems. Based on the results of the weighting carried out, puddle G1 has the highest value of 336, so it becomes the main priority in handling puddles that occur. Efforts to deal with puddles immediately are necessary because puddles occur in areas used by the community in their daily activities.

Abstract

The Arcamanik subdistrict, particularly the Cisaranten Kulon neighborhood, is one of the areas in Bandung City that is prone to flooding due to land use changes and inadequate drainage systems. This study aims to analyze the condition and effectiveness of the drainage system on Cingised Street and provide maintenance recommendations to mitigate flooding. The method for calculating drainage channel dimensions uses SWMM 5.2 software with primary data including direct observation and measurement in the field and secondary data in the form of rainfall and planning documents. The evaluation results on Cingised Street, Cisaranten Kulon Village, Arcamanik Subdistrict, showed a significant discrepancy between the existing channel dimensions and the initial planning, with a difference of 61.04% in the S19-S20 (right) segment and 51.43% in the S15-S16 (left) segment. Sediment accumulation reached a total of 294.9 m3 along the 230-meter channel, which significantly reduced its hydraulic capacity. Modeling using SWMM 5.2 identified 8 segments that experienced overflow, causing flooding and standing water. The recommended solution is periodic sediment dredging and channel dimensioning in inadequate segments to restore flow capacity and minimize the risk of flooding.

Abstract

Sudajaya Hilir Village, Baros District, Sukabumi City, is one of the areas prone to flooding due to drainage capacity and land use changes. This study aims to evaluate the condition of existing channels and analyze their capacity using the EPA Storm Water Management Model (SWMM). The data used includes field surveys on the dimensions and condition of the channels, historical rainfall data, and drainage planning documents from the Sukabumi City Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency. The evaluation results show that the dimensions of the existing channels are not in accordance with the plan. The SWMM simulation identified points 1 to 5 along Jalan Lingkar Selatan. The difference in size between points 1 and 5 ranged from 0.05 to 0.20 meters. The SWMM simulation identified points 4 and 5 as having low elevations. Based on the simulation results, recalculations were performed to reduce the potential for flooding in the area. The recommended measure is to increase the width of the drainage channel at points 1 to the outfall by 0.1 to 0.4 meters. In addition, the construction of a retention pond at locations with lower elevations is also recommended to accommodate excess water discharge. With a combination of channel dimension improvements and the provision of retention ponds, the capacity of the drainage system is expected to increase, thereby reducing the risk of flooding more effectively.

Abstract

This study examines the drainage system on Jl. Aeromodeling IV, Cisaranten Endah Village, Arcamanik District, Bandung City, which experiences flooding problems due to the suboptimal capacity of the drainage channels. The purpose of this study is to identify, analyze, and provide alternative results from the evaluation of the existing drainage system and planning. The research methods include collecting primary data through observation of the existing drainage conditions and secondary data in the form of regional maps, which are then analyzed using a hydrological approach to calculate the planned discharge and channel dimensions. The results of the study show that there are several points in the drainage system that are unable to accommodate runoff discharge, namely at points P6-P1. The proposed alternative solution is to widen the drainage system at points P6-P1 to increase its capacity in accordance with the planned discharge, as well as to install floodgates and pump houses to transfer water from the flooded area to the receiving river.

Abstract

Lembursitu Subdistrict is one of the areas in Sukabumi City that often experiences flooding, especially during the high-intensity rainy season. This study aims to determine the priority of flood management in six affected locations spread across four villages. Priority assessment was carried out using a weighting method based on six parameters listed in the Minister of Public Works Regulation No. 12 of 2014, namely flood height, flood area, flood duration, flood frequency, economic losses, social and government facility disruptions, transportation losses and disruptions, housing losses, and private property losses. The research data was obtained through field surveys, community interviews, and secondary data from relevant agencies in Sukabumi City. The weighting results showed that the location with the highest priority for handling was L6 (Jl Raya Palabuhan II) with a score of 297.5, followed by L5 (Jl Merdeka) and L1 (Jl Merdeka). These three locations have a major impact on social, economic, transportation, and public service facility activities. These findings provide a basis for local governments to determine more effective flood management strategies, particularly through increasing drainage capacity, channel normalization, and the implementation of a sustainable eco-drainage-based flood control system.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the performance of the initial retention pond design in the Bandung Inten Housing Complex and to plan for an increase in storage capacity based on the hydrological conditions of the area. The research method refers to the guidelines of the Directorate General of Human Settlements, which include hydrological analysis, determination of runoff discharge, preparation of inflow hydrographs, and calculation of pond storage volume. The evaluation results show that the initial retention pond with a volume 5.400 m3 is not yet capable of accommodating the planned runoff discharge. Based on the calculation results, the required pond volume is 7.509,42 m3 using a pump capacity of 0,03 m3/second, which is capable of reducing the runoff discharge in the Bandung Inten Housing Complex by 81,986%. However, additional alternative control measures are still needed to improve flood control effectiveness.

Abstract

The wastewater treatment plant of PT X, a chemical polymer industry, was evaluated to assess its performance in treating wastewater to meet industrial environmental quality standards. This evaluation includes an analysis of effluent quality based on BOD, COD, TSS, TDS, pH, and temperature parameters. Secondary data from PT X's laboratory testing showed non-compliance with standards based on the Minister of Environment Regulation Number 05 of 2014, particularly for COD and BOD parameters. The efficiency of the wastewater treatment plant in reducing parameters was COD 97.7%, BOD 97.7%, TSS 99%, and a TDS value of -289.3%. The design evaluation showed that several treatment units, such as the coagulation-flocculation tank, were located in the same unit and had the same speed. Additionally, the coagulation detention time exceeded the design criteria by 11,833.2 seconds. This causes wastewater treatment to not function optimally. To improve the performance of the WWTP, it is recommended to adjust the volume of some treatment units, optimize operational parameters, and conduct regular monitoring to ensure the system continues to operate optimally.
